21 Day Book Promotion Review Part 2

Pinterest

Hi everyone! Very excited to be continuing on with my review of 21 Day Book Promotion. Last time I did days 1-3, in addition to reviewing the sales copy and buying process. So let’s jump right into the next day:

Day 4:

Okay at a glance I see that I have the main aspect of this done already but I did not do some important things they have in their instructions, so I will go back and do those today. Okay that’s cool. I hadn’t thought to flesh this out as much as was recommended. I had bare bones on there.

I did the initial steps listed, then looked at the PDF and now I’m watching the video. It’s a little over 5 minutes.

Wait in the video she says Amazon frowns on something. I’m confused about this. Wish there was more info on this. I don’t quite get what she’s talking about and I sure don’t want to make a mistake.

Is it my computer or do y’all sometimes hear a “skip” in the audio? I’ve seen it a few times in this one video. The audio sounds spliced several times, too.

I’m using the first option in their list because I had already set it up via Geoff Shaw’s Kindling course. Wow still listening – this video needs to be redone just because of the splicing. It makes me feel awkward listening to it. It detracts from the lesson, which is a great lesson. Or, I need a new set of ears or a new computer – y’all let me know which one LOL.

Regardless, I was reminded of some things I needed to do in this one, so that’s good!

Day 5:

Alrighty! A module I have not done anywhere at any time and it looks interesting! I always like to go with a paid option for this, and I don’t want to get as many as she says to right now, but I will grab about 5.

The PDF is really good. Now I’m watching the video. It’s a little over 4 minutes. Grr okay I’m still hearing skippage in the audio. Or splicing or something. I reallllllly need y’all to tell me if this is me or the video because I don’t have this problem elsewhere. IE: Minute marke 1:43 – she says, “And you can see they’re so///when you’re doing a non fiction…” It’s like she’s in the middle of a sentence and BOOM it splits into some other thought. I would much rather hear someone pause or Um or whatever than hear lots of splices.

She does give some great examples. Good lesson. I found one thing she talks about, but it’s going to take me a LONG time to find what I need for my fiction story. This is a good lesson.

So today was a great day with the 21 Day Book Promotion course. Although I gripe and moan about certain things, today I did two days and found two lessons that either taught or reminded me of something I needed to do. More tomorrow!

Tiff :)

I don’t yet have the 21 Day Book promotion, but I will probably be getting it when my book is published. I so much appreciate you reviewing these, so that I have a reliable resource for deciding which of the courses and books I need to purchase.

Hope you are feeling better today!

  • I think they just overdid it with the editing! It is definitely not you!

By the way… sent you another email =-) More of your inspiration for me and how I would like to apply it with you

Ah I’ll read it in the morning Coach – heading to bed now and I’m late! LOL! Glad to know the editing was real and I wasn’t going insane.

I was thinking of buying it.

I hope the issue gets resolved. I tend to freak out when I know I’m missing something. Could be something rather important that was cut.

    Thanks for the review.

Hey There – what Amy is talking about here is that if you are doing many promotional tactics like press releases and social media – it’s a good idea to have those link to your blog salespage rather than straight to amazon.

On your salespage – have a buy button to your amazon book

    I hope this helps

Oh cool it does thanks Deborah! I wonder why Amazon would frown on that? Seems like they would LOVE the traffic pointing to their site.

      • Isobel says:

Maybe because strictly, you can only put Amazon associate links on “your” site?

Not sure if that’s what you’re referring to though (I haven’t got to that point yet).
