365 Day Challenge Day 17
Hi everyone! Wow yesterday I completed so much work. Today my eyes are burning I’m so sleepy – but it’s having to wake up early after a long weekend. Shawn’s home today not feeling well
That made Scarlett mad because she hates being at school w/out her big brother on campus so she decided to try to convince me he was faking it. LOL!
New PLR
Okay lots to discuss today! I have two new PLR packs here (I’m way ahead on PLR):
New PLR Pack on Irritable Bowel Syndrome
Product Review Site Progress:
I completed all of my video reviews with the kids this weekend and my oldest son Dylan and I had to laugh because even if they LOVE the toy, they harp on the negatives making SURE they’re being fair with their comments. Wonder if I’ll ever make any sales now
This week we’re doing reviews of:
Scarlett’s La La Loopsy Treehouse
Shawn’s Bug Vacuum
Scarlett’s Purse Making Kit
Shawn’s Wood Whittling Kid’s Kit
Both Shawn and Scarlett’s Fyr Flyz Toys
I went ahead and sent the keywords and phrases to my ghostwriter so she can make the lens content for my Squidoo lenses for those items.
GUESS what I didn’t know!? Amazon has what’s known as a VINE program. They invite certain reviewers (you don’t submit for it) to review products before they even launch! They ship them to them and they get to review it. How cool is that? It’s based on how helpful your reviews are to other people. Boy that inspires me to actually leave more reviews – positive or negative.
Today I completed the Mini La La Loopsy Treehouse review. My kids crack me up emphasizing the negative stuff. This is one of her favorite new toys.
So the PLR is done and the product review is done. I’m about to get started on the info product. I have SO much more to do today! I plan to:
Hit the info product HARDCORE – progress like you have never seen before.
And for my breaks, meaning I have to switch topics or I get bored, I’ll watch some of Chris Farrell’s videos and do a little digging into the Kindle WSO (which by the way as taken off the marketing I hear).
I also plan to study some more confidence topics. I posted a new awesome blog post about procrastinators and perfectionists with confidence issues this morning.
And one more thing – I signed up to test out Ghostbloggers.net – really love the pay rate there and I see them being buzzed about online and in magazines so I submitted an article. Just new and growing but far better than $1.62 (snicker). Plus, a human reviews the content for quality and plagiarism so it sounds better for BUYERS too.
Y’all have a great rest of the day – time for me to go make some veggie tacos w/avocados and tomatoes!
Tiff

Hi Tiff,
I feel overwhelmed reading how much you achieve. I signed up for the challenge a couple of days ago, and while I have a website ready to be branded I am still thinking about my list of 5-10 words and my promise!
The most I have done is promise myself not to beat myself up if each ‘day’ takes me a few days. Glad to be on board.
r
that’s the right attitude!
Yes, I saw that the Kindle WSO was off the market. Wondering what you are going to say about it and considering going into the kindle market, but really think I’ll need guidance. Are you going to help us with that??? HA Just one more thing to add to your list!
Thanks for all you do for us. Marcia
yes I will! lol
also love that you are going to have our pictures on the blog comments. this will be fun to put faces to everyone.
They are now down to $1.25 per article, according to their front page.
Ghostbloggers looks interesting, and I’m signing up now. My only concern is whether there will be buyers for those prices?
ack!!!!!!
Golly Tiff – you get through so much work MY eyes feel tired and scratchy just ready about it
The video review series sounds awesome and that ghostblogger link looks fantastic – I am about to head over and find out more – see ya!
Rach
Hey Tiff! I signed up for Ghostbloggers two weeks ago, but have yet to add anything – I haven’t had the time. I would love to hear about your experiences there, if the content sells and such. It sounds like such a great deal, almost too good to be true at the price they are offering… In any case, it’s on my to-do list for this coming week, but my goodness how it flies!
I have an issue I am hoping you or your readers can help with with. In my excitement at joining the productivity challenge, I think I may have been a bit too ambitious in writing my daily productivity commitment. I added my items not accounting for any writing contracts I might win and work on, which was a space out for me since one of my challenge items was to follow up with two client leads a day. That was bound to get me some kind of contract work, right? Well, it did-yay me! BUT it’s a doozy of a contract that has left me with little time to breathe, let alone keep up with my daily challenge items – although I am getting one or two things done each day from my original list.
My question is, would it ve a cop out if I re-committed to the challenge with a lighter load? I don’t want to give up entirely, as I think the challenge is probably one of the best motivators I’ve had in a long time. Problem is that I know if the contracts keep rolling in, there is no way I’ll be able to do everything every day and still be able to have time to eat or sleep. What do you think would be the best way to tackle this issue?
Of course you can alter it! That’s what I did myself! Choose the minimum for your challenge and everything else is gravy! Took the link out of the other resource till I can check it out.
Ghostbloggers looks pretty good, if you can actually sell anything at those prices! I’m signing up now. Gosh, I feel so lazy next to you. But I did clean my bathroom today. Won’t say when I did it last, but it was wAAAAy overdue. Nice and shiny now though, at least for a day or two!
I’m in the process of reassessing stuff right now. I’ve been faithfully submitting articles, twittering and facebooking and google plus oneing, but still no traffic to speak of on my new blog, one month and 47 articles in. Trying to decide if I should let it sit for a bit and go do something else for a while. Think I’ll go to your confidence website and see if I can get a dose. My confidence levels are flagging a bit at the moment. But never say die, dammit! ;D
Thanks for the mention of Ghostbloggers.net. I have just signed up as it appears to be one of the better payers when it comes to content.
Thanks again
Lisa, NZ
Tiffany,
Sounds like you got a lot done.
I didn’t get as much done today as I’d have like since one of my children and I are not feeling to well so we ended up napping for a while but I will still get something done.
oh gosh I want a nap so bad.
Productivity is in the air!
Your PLR pack on decorating reminded me of a time almost 3 years ago when I had a website about improving your home economically and I emailed a list of a few hundred people saying how a good tip for the New Year was to wash their balls. And I meant to type WALLS! I was mortified! :O
Anyway, today I managed to do my article and my affiliate site article. I noticed that my affiliate site is already getting traffic for one review in particular. 7 unique visits yesterday and I haven’t had the site up a week yet!
I had a sort of a relaxed day and watched a few episodes of Curb Your Enthusiasm from a box set and I also set up my Twitter account! @PLRExpress for all that’s interested!
It’s great to have “job” where you can just take time to relax if you feel like it. I don’t know why I’m relaxing through, I’ve got to write tons of content for my PLR membership site next week!
Hope everyone had a great day!
LMAO Nathan that’s priceless!
Hi Tiff! I signed up and submitted my first article, so it will be interesting to see how fast they review it.
I did mine Sunday and it’s still waiting. lol
With those reviews that Amazon looks for for the VINE program, are they the reviews on their site or reviews we are putting on our own sites?
Reviews on their site. Whenever people click “helpful” on your review, it it a positive slant towards getting you in the Vine program. Then apparently they send out newsletters and you choose which products you want sent to you.
Hi Tiff and all,
I don’t really have anything to add right now, just wanted to test out my gravatar!
LOL
Gail
Ha! Cute
It is pretty small to see, but it is a caricature of me, sitting on top of a plane, working on my computer. I told the designers that I was a writer and an internet marketer, and my hobby was world travel, and this is what I came up with.
Can’t believe I forgot to comment about Ghostbloggers!
I signed up to Ghostbloggers back when it started. I spoke to Davy (the creator) and he added in some new categories that I was interested in.
Anyway, I have written about 10 articles on there and I’ve only ever sold one. It can take months to sell an article on there – it just depends on if there are any buyers out there.
I’ve actually also purchased about 5 articles from there and they’ve always been great quality. You need two accounts – one for buying and one for selling.
I think that the 30% commission that GB take is fairly steep but they do allow writers to get a fair price. The only article I ever sold was for $72 which is nice. But often, I find that the articles that you write just sit there without being purchased for months sometimes. I definitely think that the site needs more exposure and more people buying content.
In order to try and work out which topics were the hottest selling on GB, I went in and took screenshots of all of the article categories and titles in November. I then went back at the end of December and took some more. I compared both of the screenshots to see which articles in which topics were selling the most.
It turned out that marketing topics (especially articles about offline marketing topics), events, social media, crafts, DIY, diets and relationships tend to sell pretty regularly. Anyone wanting to give GB a try, I would definitely look into those topics if that’s your niche.
There are many articles still on there (and from star rated writers) that have been their since last summer and have never been sold. It’s definitely worth researching which articles are selling well and in which niches.
That is awesome Nathan! I like that you said the quality was good. Maybe we should be promoting things like this for buyers who don’t want to worry about quality or plagiarism and who don’t mind paying fair wages. I do have a question though. What if a person wants to go LOWER than their recommended $3.50/100 words? Is that possible? I think the site’s starting to grow with buzz because I heard about it twice so I’m willing to give it growth time personally. Thanks for the niche research!
Yes, it’s possible to submit an article for less than the standard rate if you wish to. It’s worth pointing out that the commission that GB take is added on top of the price that you put on your article so it’s not taken as a cut from it.
Also, once you’ve submitted an article, you can’t take it down once you’ve listed it for sale. By listing the article, you agree that you are releasing the rights of sorts.
Hmm so let’s say I have an article I want to sell for $20 – GB tacks the 30% onto that for the buyer, is that right? Awesome if so! So if it never sells, you’re screwed on selling it elsewhere?
That’s right. If you sell for $20, they would add on $6-7 (30%) on for the buyer. Yep, if it never sells you can’t do anything else with it. I’ve had some articles up there since August that have never sold and I can’t do anything else with them. I’m not too bothered because I only put them there because I had no use for them but, for someone that’s actively looking to earn an income through writing, it’s not too good.
Have you done the option to write for requested articles? That’s what I did – WordPress.
Actually, I haven’t but that request for WordPress content has been there for at least 6 weeks. I think it would be great if they added a date so you can see if it’s still relevant. Obviously, people still will want WordPress articles but it would be nice if you can see how recently it had been requested.
Agree. I noticed on their Facebook fan page that people say their articles have been queued up a week and then when they ask, the moderator of that group asks them for their article title and goes and approves it.
Yeah – their customer support is great and one of their best features.
Wow Tiffany, I just can’t believe how much you get done on a daily basis. I wish I could only do half as much as you. My wife and I would love to see more videos of HONEY. We just think she is so CUTE. Take Care.
Great idea to have the pictures with the post. It is always nice to see the person who made the post.
Gosh, do you write a PLR pack every day?
Sometimes I do about 40 pages worth (rarely) but sometimes 10 articles is nothing for me – I write 5 pages an hour so it just depends on what else I do.
Tiff,
Glad to hear you mention that you will help us with Kindle. I am super interested in that. Just don’t want to buy up a bunch of training that’s ineffective.
I would much, much, much rather learn from you. So, if you have some training on that in your line-up, I’m excited.
That would be an awesome product. I’m in line to buy and you haven’t even created it yet!
It’s very hot right now I think. But more important I just think it’s something I “want” to do. I love to write. Just seems like a perfect fit for me.
But I need guidance. So, keep us posted.
Debbie
Sure! let me master it first (shouldn’t take long I hope) and then I’ll come up with my own training. I always have my own approach to things anyway.
Shoot Tiff. I finally have my “weekend” off the new job and am doing good just to catch up with the emails about what I should be doing! LOL
I figure another week or 2 and I should be on a fairly even keel again. Right now, it’s just been physically AND mentally exhausting so I’m catching up on a bit of sleep (I run well on 4-5 but 2-3 just hasn’t been doing it for me).
Take your time – don’t burn out trying to do too much!
Your productivity is astounding! Takes me forever to write one article, although I can write my own blog posts fairly quickly.
I’m curious to see which avatar shows up on here – could be an old niche site one I used to use. I’m using an old laptop until I can replace my trashed computer.
I’m glad you are promoting websites that you find for writers. You have your ear to the ground and it helps that you and anyone else who comes across good sites for writers can share on this site.
Love that your children are enjoying their new role as reviewers. So cute!
Thanks Edie!
