Action Trumps Fear

Pinterest

Hi everyone! My mentor and friend Craig Desorcy sent me a video he made and I just LOVED it so I wanted to share. Technically, he made it for HIS audience of coaching people to be better coaches.

But really, it’s perfect advice for all of us – because coaching, leading – it’s all the same. You’re serving others with great insight and guidance in your niche.

I’m just going to let Craig speak and shut up now – this is his video about being afraid to make videos, and do other stuff.

Enjoy!
Tiff ;)

  • OK – so naturally I love the accent although I couldn’t quite place it.

I love the message in this video about just doing it even when you say to yourself “I don’t know what to write about, I don’t know what to vlog about”.

At the moment, all I know about is what I am doing at the moment, so that’s what I’m talking about and vlogging about. lol

But through these challenges I am learning to think more about the service I want to provide to others instead of just focussing on the money. This is a great mindset shift which I find really exciting and I can’t wait to see where it takes me. :)

Craig D. is totally awesome – love his viewpoint.

You are very blessed to have such a good friend!

For some reason – I start to feel very relaxed when I listen to Craig and his messages – am I the only one?

    Mary

  • I see why you like him so much. That message is everything I’ve been trying to do with my business and it’s the number one thing that most newbies fail to understand. You have to stop worrying about the money and focus on people if you want to succeed. The money will come later and you’ll be a lot happier with your life in general.

The video was awesome. Thanks for sharing! It put a great positive message in my head to start my day and has me re-energized for today’s blog posts!

Craig is from Rhode Island. I live in S.E. Massachusetts and folks from Little Rhodey have a different accent than folks from around here (I’m a transplanted Kansan). Message was right on point, thanks Craig.

That’s a great message from Craig – he is very inspirational, yet down to earth.

“Don’t worry about the money – just focus on helping and serving other people, and the Law of Reciprocity will ensure that you are rewarded in the best way for you. Just do it!”

    What goes around, comes around!

It was nice to hear Craig’s voice again! I love listening to his voice. You’re right, it’s so soothing! :)

  • I’m fascinated listening to Craig… he sounds like a Surfer dude, man…… too cool for school – lol!

Interesting post, and its always true, and in other words… also … help others to get what they want – and you’ll get what you want.

Sometimes I do actually wonder about the reality of that… some people just get used up, or become addicted to being needed – and not much else is achieved.

I think its pretty simple to just keep your customer in mind when you create or promote a product, and make sure it is one that WILL meet their needs, and hopefully will over-deliver on the promises… and just CARE about what you do, and build your reputation for integrity and quality.

You might not always hit the jackpot and make lots of money, but you WILL be able to sleep at night – lol!

I can understand why you love him, Tiffany!

My favorite is at the end: if you’re a hater and want to send me some nasty message, go ahead. Thanks, bye!

    LOVE IT!

Tiff, Thanks for this. Craig hits the nail on the head. Let’s just go out there and serve. He’s right…once we remove ourselves from the occasion and just concentrate on helping someone else…you won’t even remember that you’d been afraid.

Thanks for sharing this. Because of you and Craig, I am still plugging away. I may never make a dime, but I’m here, hopefully encouraging others.

I listened to your interview with Craig when I first got on your list and it’s one of the most inspiring things I’ve ever known. I go back to it when I get discouraged.

  • I couldn’t figure out who Craig reminded me, but now I’ve got it. He reminds me of Mike Myers from Saturday Night Live. His accent reminds me of when Mike would dress as the Jewish lady (no offense Craig).

Thanks for sharing this with us. It’s just like doing anything that first time, once you’ve done it, the fear is gone.

  • Thanks for this, Tiff. This gave me the final push I needed to quit a new VA-type job that was just not working for me and was kind of icky. Not serving, at all. Like Nicole always says “making the internet a better place” – yeah, wasn’t that at all.

    Hi Tiffany:
I really enjoyed you sharing Craig’s video. He is very encouraging and right on point. Helping others is what it’s all about. And by one doing this, things will come back to you 10 fold. I am currently following up on my coaching call with Craig and putting into place what we talked about. He really does care about people.
Take care and tell Craig my wife and I say HI.
    Sam

He’s something else, that’s for sure. Really inspired me, and yes, I agree it’s applicable to anyone, not just coaches.

Love it. Need a balance of ‘how to’ videos and inspirational/motivational…Awesome!

Thanks for sharing your coach with us.

    :)
