Amazon Affiliate Bible Review Part 3
Hi everyone! Continuing on today with my review of the Amazon Affiliate Bible. Loved last time, getting to find out about the video embedding option – and I DID get the autoplay turned off, by the way
I hate those, too!
Real quick – someone had pointed out that Jennifer says she achieved her $50,000 with 50 sites, and when you break the numbers down, that $85/month per site seemed dreary. She may have been playing in many niches and when you dilute your time like that, you won’t have as much time to invest in each site.
What I plan to do is apply the lessons to ONE niche site – my toy review site. But because that one site gets all of my attention, it should earn more than just $85 per month. Does that make sense? Content wise, you’re not going to be able to do as much per site when you have 50 sites as you will when you have one site getting ALL of your content. Each page on that domain should increase sales.
Increase Your Earnings
I’m so ready for this! What I do works, but I need the boost to get to the next level. She says she has 7 specific tips on helping us increase our earnings.
Tip #1 - Oh yes, many of you have asked me about this or how to do it and I had NO clue. I installed the free plugin. Am doing the next steps. Hmm she mentions a possible bug that may make me think this over twice. Ah someone else came up with a solution but it’s a paid solution. I’m just going to not do it for now, but for those who want to apply it, there’s a fix so just know that.
Tip #2 - I like this tip. I do know the stats (well not specifically but generally) and she’s right about this. It’ll work perfect in my niche, too. Just added this to one of my blog posts. Perfect!
Tip #3 - Nice tip! I just added this to one, too.
Tip #4 - Aha! I do this
Well, I do the tip but we differ on what kind of post/page to put it on.
Tip #5 – This is a good tip, I’m just not gonna do it – laziness wins every time. However, she does make a really good point – took the comparison table to convince me – so I might change my hardened ways.
Tip #6 - Oh wow! I hadn’t considered this for my niche but she’s right – there are opportunities here. I just added one to one of my blog posts!
Tip #7 - I know this is right from my own experience. I see so many people NOT doing this on Squidoo and it drives me crazy.
Clever Promotion Tips
Looking forward to seeing what she suggests here.
LOL! She mentions a plugin that I had no idea existed. And it’s about a person I recently ranted about. But this is a neat idea! Installing the free plugin. This is neat! So many plugins out there that I didn’t know existed.
Whoops! I messed with the code and screwed it all up. LOL! But this is a neat plugin for a marketing website. I’m not going to do it here yet. But maybe in the future. I think maybe when she did it, they gave you options – now they don’t. There’s just code, so her guide doesn’t say how to make the plugin say something other than the default. I tried editing it and I got a fatal error.
Don’t you have it when they call it that? Makes it sound like the world is ending. Not nice for newbies especially.
The next tip is a good one that I know I should always use more and never do. I know you guys always say the same thing. So why do we DO this? Or rather, NOT do it?
I whipped out her handy dandy template for this and did it on the spot. I get SO much of an urge to say, “Okay I’ll do that later,” but when I’m implementing and reviewing, I force myself to say “No, you’ll do it now,” unless it’s a strategy I want to contemplate.
Done! Ha! I feel so productive
End of Today’s Review
Okay I liked today’s lessons. I implemented several things on my blog and did something to increase traffic from the outside. All ethical. Love that! I feel productive. I think what I’ll need to do after completing my Amazon Affiliate Bible review is to sit down and jot down the tips want to make sure I implement in every blog post – and then also maybe on Squidoo lenses as well.
Then I need to refer to my list and practice them so that it becomes second nature to me and I don’t forget.

My, my!!! This is tempting! I am just making a big fat Squidoo lense (lol) about my ghostwriting service and enjoying it by the way! xxx Yoan
Great! I did well w/my ghostwriting lens.
Ooopppss didn’t realise it wasn’t for Squidoo! Lol! Read the WSO- it’s for advanced amazon affiliates! Typical of me!
A few things can be applied but for the most part it’s your own domain.
Ok!! Thanks!
Hi Tiffany.
When you say “Each page on that domain should increase sales” about your toy site….. Does that mean each post count as a page?
I am kind of confused (pages vs post as it related to what you said about increase sales).
Thanks
Mary Kathan
Oh yeah sorry I was using it interchangeably. Every post, page, whatever LOL! Every URL on that domain should pull in traffic and money
I hope your toy site does really well! I’m enjoying watching you put it together.
Oops! Meant to ask – are there more parts of this review coming?
Yes
I’m glad Eliza!
Even though I already bought the product through your affiliate link, I didn’t get a chance to open the file after downloading.
It’s nice following your review because it makes me want this dang program even more and I already own it! LOL
Now that’s some great reviewing sister!
P.S. I just made sale #2 using the information learned from your Squidoo Quick Commission Guide. You’re fantastic!
Yea!! Action taker!
You do realize, I took action when I bought the program! hehe
The part I failed at was the follow through, but then again, I seem to wear egg on my face quite well these days.
I’ve been thinking of turning it into my own action statement! LOL
What do ya think? Work for you girlfriend?
LOL Works for me
But you’re a huge action taker and you know it.
It’s great that she gives an actual example with clever promotion tip #2 – I never know how to write those dang things LOL! They’re so hard to write.
Hey, maybe that could be a short report topic for you, Tiff?
I think I did one years ago LOL – I took a class on it so I do need to
I have seen a great deal of Internet marketers claiming to make huge amounts with loads of sites but I always think the same thing why not do only a few but do them really well market them right. I can’t imagine you could sustain the quality of 59 sites and keep the content fresh and up to date unles you have a team of people behind you .
Great post as always I always look forward to them in my inbox.
Thanks Susan! I agree – 1 or 3 is better than 30-50.
Hi Tiffany:
I am just loving the review on Amazon Affiliate Bible. I have not ordered yet, but I will in the next day or so. I am planning to start buidling some new Amazon affiliate sites. Sounds like the templates are great. Are you using one of the templates on any of your sites. I would sure like to see one. Take Care, Sam
I used some of her coding but the templates are for wider themes and mine is super skinny (unlike me. LOL)
I’m so tempted. I did just get my first payout from amazon for squidoo lenses! That was awesome.
I also saw a new a wp theme today that pulls in amazon product right from the dashboard. It looks very easy to use compared to pulling the info in by hand, but I’m not certain it’s exactly the look I want.
Yea!
I just want to know if this course would be of value anywhere else. Maybe you could address that in a sentence or two?
As in a 3rd party platform? Some of the items, yes – some, like templates, probably not. The value added tips could be used on places like Squidoo.
