Another New Schedule to Satisfy My Boredom

Pinterest

My schedule has changed. You know I have to switch things up or I get bored! Before this swap, I was working from a file of multiple calendars where I’d complete one task on each arm of my business per day (a little PLR, a little Kindle, etc).

I burned out of that so now I switched things up again. I created a single calendar – and each day I focus on one thing only. So for example, Saturday I did reviews on my blog, which is why I was able to finish up the 21-Day Book Promotion and dig back into Kindling.

Sunday I worked on all affiliate marketing tasks – buying a new domain for the bike rack niche, setting it up, outsourcing and then using the articles for it, and spiffing up some Squidoo lenses. I also conducted some research.

Today is all about PLR! I’m working on a few things, but primarily I’m trying to get a huge LEGO catalog completed. It’s going to be amazing.

Tomorrow will be Minisites – where I pick one of my minisite courses, completed or not yet complete, and work on that. I’ll probably complete the ones I don’t have complete yet and then go back and spiff up other ones that need updating.

Then Wednesday will be Kindle day, where I’ll spend half my day writing a new book in my series and the second half promoting existing titles.

So there you see my branches:

Blog and Reviews – not necessarily a product review, but where I discuss things in our industry that I want to talk about or that you need help with.

Affiliate Marketing – primarily tangible items, but there are a few services and products that are digital, too.

PLR – I have to laugh at people who drop out of PLR. Ever know what sets myself, Nicole Dean, Ruth, and Peg Baron (to name a few) apart? We keep growing our stores. Think we’d do that if it wasn’t highly profitable? Quitters miss out, end of story.

Minisites – sites like Guide2ebooks.com, 30daybranding.com, ghostwritingwork.com, plratm.com, confidenceclass.com and more. I get tons of traffic to socialmarketing101.com and have NOTHING set up there! Ridiculous!

Kindle – Want to work on both my non fiction Online Career Plans series and my fiction Human Herd series. Plus, I’m adding a parenting series on there under a pen name because I plan to offend people with my brash words for their non existent parenting skills.

Oh and one more thing – I just signed up to review Squid Pro Quo by Erica Stone. Anyone know her? Know of her products? It speaks of affiliate income – perfect for Christmas.

That’s it for me! What is it YOU are working on?

Tiff ;)

I love that you plan to offend people with your brash words. You go, girl! You are fixin’ to fix the bad parents. Someone has to!!

    Hi.
I’m still working on finishing my 1st non-fiction book and I’ll be there, after some formatting. The book got left for a while. I’ve been busy working on my accent. I’ve nearly fixed it!
I’m also having a go at creating my own cover, with not much success, so I think I’m going to order one instead.

I am working on writing free PLR for my new store. I had almost been getting distracted by other projects, so I’m glad to hear you say that your PLR sites still quite profitable! I’ll keep plugging away…..:)

  • Isobel says:

Erica Stone is awesome – her products are all excellent (I have every one of them), she gives you the whole story, she’s highly ethical, a hard worker, successful, doesn’t promise you the earth but makes a great income from her sites and Squidoo Lenses. I already have Squid Pro Quo and I’m fascinated to see how you get on with it :)

Did I mention I really like her? lol

I do a lot better with the half-day focus blocks. Half day is this, the other half is that. Also, I am getting my tootie out of bed earlier – like at 5am. Tried 4am, but just can’t deal with that yet.

I’m getting a ton completed in the first 5 hours of the day now. Then I look at my email and all focus goes to pot. I probably need to put that activity into a time block.

  • Sounds like a plan to me, Tiff. Whatever works for you is what you should do.

  • Samantha says:

I’m so looking forward to your next book in The Human Herd series. Can’t hardly wait! :)

  • I focus better doing one thing at a time myself. Are minisites similar to Amazon product review sites, where you may write or use PLR? Oh I have another idea for a kindle ebook on a subject I know very well. I just haven’t started writing it yet.

Hi Tiffany: Great post today! I have learned how to make my daily schedule and stick to it. I try not to cram too much in. I want to make sure that I can get everything done. I was sent an email today about a Pinterest product called PinProfits. Have you heard of it? Maybe you would consider doing a review on it?

  • Hello ,Tiffany it is great to get an insight in to how you organize your week, i have purchased your plratm course about a year or so ago,and after checking out all the bright shiny objects and not going in any direction with purpose ,i decided to give your plr atm course a real go,and see if i can make some cash ,instead of spending it chasing all the new wso etc. all the best cheers.fom your old aussie mate Mick.

I have some of Erica Stone’s material. As soon as I can, I will buying this one, too. I look forward to your review of it.

Sounds like Kater and I are on the same wave length. I get the most of my work done in the early morning hours and splitting up my day works great too.

It does help to change things up a bit and knowing what you are working on a particular day seems like it would help planning and calendar-wise.

Always looking forward to your next review. Sounds interesting.

  • You’re going to love Erica’s product. It is awesome! I’ve reviewed one of her products and I’m working on that one now. It is hard to find a Squidoo guide that isn’t trying to get you to write about Squid Don’t topics or break the ToS so I was happy to find her products!

I hope we’ll get to see book 2 of the Human Herd series soon. ;)

I love your posts and ideas Tiff. They are just full of gold for us newbies. By the way I hope your little girl is feeling much better :)

This new schedule of yours looks just great and is giving me a few ideas! Many thanks.

Looks like me and Michael are working at making a better go of your PLR Atm course. I purchased it quite some time ago and my new WordPress hosting business has kept me so busy that I have not been able to put as much time into writing as I would like to.

This week I have set aside each afternoon for setting up categorized folders of PLR content for my customers and adding links to article sources like Tiffany Dow… :)

As far as reading, I would prefer to read your non fiction Online Career Plans series but my wife is interested in your fiction Human Herd series.

But I must admit, your Human Herd series sounds like a must have masterpiece.

That’s a good idea Tiff. Are you still doing any client work / ghostwriting? If so, where do you fit that in?

I revise my schedule and try new things all the time. I have my daughter (single Dad) 3 days/nights a week so it was always a struggle, but now that she’s in Kindgergarten this year, it’s a bit easier to schedule everything in. as I have 10-12 hours to add each week while she’s in school (I don’t work at all when I’m with her)

I like the idea of “one thing per day”, but it wouldn’t work for me . I couldn’t wait 5 or 6 days to work on that “one aspect” again. I’d get “antsy”. lol

Got the ebook you linked to. After reading Isobel’s comment and some of the reviews on WF.

Are you going to review it? ;)

  • Kate says:

    Hi Tiff,

Just wanted to wade in and say I love Erica Stone and we have every one of her products.

I have been using her Squid Pro Quo course and have got my first ever lens up!

I had a query so emailed Erica about something she had written and was amazed that she came back to me within 15 minutes (I’m in the UK and she is in USA) not only with an explanation that I understood for the query but also a couple of suggestions for my lens.

There is not many “marketers” I follow out there but I place you and Erica together for your great products and ethics.

    Kate

  • Joanne Reid says:

I got Erica Stone’s Squid course. WOW! Excellent. I started really squidooing a few weeks ago and I had no idea that there were so many tools and toys involved.

    Thanks.

    Hi Tiffany,

What a great schedule, I’m trying to get some sanity and cohesion in my life after the last 2-3 years and have been trying to come up with something similar so I may steal some hints.

Erica Stone is really lovely, honest and ethical, who does that remind people of?????

I tried to buy Squid Pro Quo last week but I’m having issues with PayPal and my credit card is attached to it so anything that’s remotely tied to PayPal doesn’t work, and what did this great lady do? sent me a copy so I wouldn’t miss out and I can pay her when my PayPal is fixed.

Again who does that remind us all of????

Anyway I’m just finishing my research and I’ll be tackling my Sqidoo Lens in the next few days, ooh ahh.

Y’all have a great day etc., or bewdy mate.
