Author: I got an awesome email today that I won’t share verbatim with you because this savvy reader was smart enough to sniff out an opportunity and I don’t want to create competition for her.
In one of my babbles recently, I talked about funny topics people had requested for PLR and then they never got purchased.
Being the whiz that she is, she bought the $5 PLR pack (which she used as is – no editing), got a domain (so she’s spent about $15 now) and pasted it up with some public domain content as well.
She waited.
One month later a sale comes in – with a commission of $44. Got her money back and then some! Today she got another sale with a commission of $25.54.
The content pulled it in. The banner ad she had on her site made the sales.
Pay attention to what marketers casually mention and maybe you can tap into a small competition market. I wouldn’t have considered it, but if I’d known there was $69+ to be made in a month I might have!

Hey Tiff, thanks for posting that. It really is that easy. It’s certainly not hard to get a site up with some good content and it’s cheap.
I’d add that once you get your site up start promoting it by making a few comments on other blogs, a few days of doing that and the sales will start to come in.

I love these stories, thanks for sharing! It amazes me how many people only get as far as downloading the PLR. It won’t do much for you sitting on your hard drive.
Is a month generally how long it will take to get some traffic after putting up a site?
If the content is good on the site it will take a couple of weeks to get indexed on the search engines and some blog posting will help it along?
No AJ I start getting traffic almost instantly. I usually tweet it once then googlebots start coming.
So simple, makes me feel ashamed for waiting till all the lights turn green before I start my truck, great post

Great post – very good advice to us all.
You can get traffic, real visitors within a day or two if you’ve targeted the right keywords and done the right thigns to get your site ranking.
It’s pretty easy to get the Googlebots to your site within a few minutes using Twitter and other techniques, like Tiffany said.
I’m off to trawl through the 5 or 6Gb of PLR articles I’ve collected and start making more money

That’s a great story, and also a bit of a kick-in-the-pants for the rest of us! Reminds me of a great saying that we should all pin to our monitors — you don’t have to get it right, you just have to get it going!
Hi Tiffany and greetings from across the pond.
After reading the post, I’ve just created a new folder PLR.
I’ve set myself a task of clearing out everything that is sitting gathering dust on my hard drive with a PLR sticker on it and putting it all to that folder..I’ll sub folder it writing, traffic generation etc.
Spring cleaning has come late this year or early next depending on how you look at it.
Oh yes and the little matter of setting up a website is also on the list honest!!

Sorry for dragging this on but I’m fairly new to this. I’ve published a couple of reviews on my WordPress site, activated the all in one SEO plug in, social bookmarked to about 12 sites and updated the ping list in WordPress to about 30 sites.
This was done since 8/15 and as of today I am still not indexed?
Shouldn’t just this alone have worked by now regardless of anything else I could do?

I don’t do any of that really AJ, so I’m not sure. I don’t bother bookmarking or pinging in my sites normally (unless I’m doing a review). Tweet it and then link to it on a blog and if you want to, link once from 1 article and see if that works.
