Article Marketing Help
By Tiffany | May 8, 2008
If you’re a lover of free marketing tactics, as I am, then you’re probably using articles to help drive targeted traffic to your domain - whether they’re on EzineArticles or Squidoo or wherever.
But article marketing isn’t being used by everyone. Why? A LOT of people don’t feel comfortable writing. I know - I’m the one they come to asking me to ghostwrite for them.
It’s either too time consuming or they can’t eek out a well-organized, effective article. From time to time someone on my list will email me asking for tips on how to write.
That’s been hard for me to convey because it took years in Journalism courses in college for me to master. But someone else created a guide to writing a 7 minute article (personally I think it’ll take a non-pro 10 minutes, but that’s still a great pace).

I don’t know the guy - Jason Fladlien - but I did get his product just to see if it can “help me help you” (in the words of Jerry Maguire). I really liked what I read.
I get so caught up in my own processes that it’s been awhile since I learned anything new, but I did - and it’s stuff that the average marketer who doesn’t write for a living can do.
My favorite parts of the 7 minute article guide were the 1 into 8 product - which means he shows you how to take a single article and turn it into 8 individual articles. I like this one so much I’m about to start taking all of my own articles and regenerating them.
To be honest, I only skimmed the opening parts where he talked about typing speed or voice recognition software. That wasn’t my concern - I only wanted the ideas on how to churn out topics fast.
His article writing cheat sheet is exactly what I use to write my own stuff. I already knew this - but you might not! And I took his article headline swipe file and stored that away for daily use.
Another favorite chapter was the “2 more neat tricks” options. I hadn’t thought of these at all and I don’t know why! I especially think these will work well with my web 2.0 efforts on Squidoo and Hub Pages.
Bottom line is - I’m a professional writer and I got a lot out of this guide, even though it’s not created FOR a professional writer. If you need a hand with your article marketing efforts, you might want to see if it helps you, too.

Let me know if there are any other issues I can either help you with directly or help you find a good resource for. Sometimes finding a resource can be hit or miss - you don’t know who to trust or what really works.
Good luck with it!
