Baby Boomer Marketing Surprises

Hey everyone! It’s “Mom” day today! I have some good (surprising) news for her. Watch the video – and yes, you Honey addicts, she appears – or read below (or both!) – and read below to see how we missed an additional $56 in earnings after we made the video:

Mom had a frazzled week. She didn’t get everything done – none of her journaling, she lacked 1 article for her PLR pack (but finished it today), she lacked 1 WarriorForum post. She got all of her Amazon affiliate articles ready but not yet uploaded.

So remember, previously in the last 3 months, she had earned $300/month or $10/day. Then since working with me, she’s earned:

Week 1: Jan 6-12 – $120
Week 2: Jan 13-19 – $95
Week 3: Jan 20-26 – $150 (her “slackiest” week ever!)

I thought that might make her feel good – less guilt. Of course, when you do that ALL the time, you make zero money. But you have to take care of yourself first or you’re no good to anybody.

So already she’s earned $365/month or $14+ some change/day. Note: Actually, she earned an additional $56! After we made the video, we noticed a ClickBank payment for a DownloadGuard purchase. But we won’t officially count it until it’s paid out to her.

In Scroogle, for the keyword “top plr site” she’s #2
For “raw food plr” – #11
For “Fall of giants christian bookstore” – #6
And for “Flip video marketing” – #13

I had her do a combo of keywords flip video and video marketing for that vlog/blog entry and with zero text, only a video, it’s ranked #13. Not shabby.

Her signature file is now showing up in Warrior Forum, pointing to her PLR store and ghostwriting site.

She got a new pack of organic gardening plr ready for $5.

Now this week we’ll try a NEW method – tasks, but no timeline. She’ll learn to time manage herself. So she’ll:

Continue ghostwriting – she has a ghostwriting special on now.

Write PLR – 5 to 10 – or anywhere in between.

She’s going to write 6 more each of her Cast Iron & Book Reviews and on Thursdays while here, queue them all up like today!

I know one thing she’s loving is the PLR because you work once, and get pay off multiple times. I had a lesson with her on anchor text.

She initially was going to say “check it out at http://topplrsite.com/organic-gardening-plr/” but I explained to her that Googlebots come there and see the words “organic gardening plr” in bold, so they think, “this must be important.”

Then they see that those words point to another place on the web (her PLR site). So it says, “Oh, THAT url must be relevant to THAT keyword phrase.”

(Mom’s sitting next to me sighing as she goes through the blog entry video. LOL!). I did the same. Muttered a few 4 letter words under my breath as I learned from Craig’s videos even though they were step-by-step.  But you do it until it’s easy. My daughter Scarlett sighed about having to learn math. Now she loves it.

Alrighty then! I’m going to get more work done. Thanks for tuning in and cheering her on! Check out her Beverly Granberg journal entry for today, too!

Tiff ;)

    Tiffany,

Your mom is a real trooper! We ALL have those weeks…and to stay afloat we just have to stay positive and keep plugging away. No need to focus on setbacks…but as you say, things kind of keep running themselves sometimes. I’ve gotten sales during times that I thought would otherwise be really down for lack of action. That’s certainly the positive side of internet marketing.

Is your mom planning on adding an affiliate program for her PLR site in the near future? Would love to sign up if she ever creates one.

Great post it made me go over and write my own entry onto my blog too. Have been busy that I have overlooked this a few times. Only takes a few minutes to write an entry and it is really important to promote readership.

    Thanks.

    Hi Tiffany and Beverley

It is great to see you are doing so well, despite bad days, lol. I had a quick question – I am using long tailed keywords for my blog, but when you mentioned about the traffic aspect – do all of those long tailed keywords have to be on the one page, or is it alright to have them on different pages in the same blog?

The reason I ask is because I don’t like to have too many posts showing on the front page of my blog, but could I be harming my traffic figures by keeping it to say 3 – 5 posts instead of 10 in the front page?

Thanks a lot and keep it up Beverley, you are doing great – I wish I had a daughter like Tiffany in my corner :)

    Best wishes
    Lisa

Way to go, Mom!!!! You’ve been doing great with your earnings.

I really like these Mother/Daughter lessons, Tiff! You sort of flipped the script!!!! :-)

This is a good case study to follow because you really get a good feel for the process and what is working or not. This is very inspiring because “if Mom can do it … I can do it, too!”

  • HI Tiffany ..just bought your E Book Empire Book today but reading the Bonus first.Probably something to do with my Baby Boomer status.
Looking forward to joining your community and watching Mom go through the motions.
Baby Boomers wil rule the world again, one day!

    Hi Bev,

I know this is has nothing to do with the blog but I have to say this.

You are beautiful. You are a very pretty woman. Your spirit actually shows and I’m very proud of you for stepping out of your comfort zone.

Your in good hands with Tiffany. You’ve done an amazing job raising her because she is very strong yet a heart of gold. She gets it.

    Bless you both
    Brenda

    Hi Tiffany,

You wrote the your mother “lacked 1 Warrior Forum post”.

Does that mean you have, as a set part of your marketing schedule, a plan to get one post per day on a discussion thread in order to get your sig file displayed?

Do you do this as part of a discussion and not taking an ad out in the Warrior’s For Hire section?

    Thanks

    • Tiffany says:

Part of her branding task is to become known as a marketer and ghostwriter and PLR provider. She does that two ways – her blog posts (journals) and her participation in the forum. I also want her to do it so she feels comfortable asking questions, and gets used to the personal satisfaction giving back and helping others. There are a ton of reasons :)

When I go into WF, I sometimes post a ton of posts and some days I find 1-2 things to comment on. But you have to learn to look for topics you can help in or get insight from. This is not advertising yet at all – just pure discussion areas :)

  • fatimah says:

wow congratulations. It is very impressive. I have a few questions, how did you find the best keywords and the marketing technique your mom is using ? Cos that is really fast to be on the first page.

    thanks

  • Sheryl says:

What a great month so far Bev, you are doing better than many people that have been working at this for months. So be very proud of yourself, and your daughter and look forward to those income stats going up and up and up!

Great post and vid again, as usual. Thanks for sharing Tiff.

  • Cindi says:

Thank you again for another great video! You don’t know how much I look forward to these each and every week. Keep up the good work, Beverly! You have become my inspiration (no pressure-lol). I’m so glad I found your blog, Tiffany Dow!

  • Sam says:

Newbie here. What is a PLR?

  • Impressive rebound from an off-week, Bev!

I have decided to hold off setting up my PLR site right now, as I want to try out this new system of setting up all the income streams at once. Instead I’m getting my old To Do list of websites up on NB so that is cleared away.

I just know that otherwise I’ll keep getting ‘unwillingly’ pulled away from focusing only on the PLR ATM process, instead of this process you are testing with Bev, of a structured multi-tasking project.

I’m looking forward to it – is the Week #1 going on sale soon, as you mentioned it might be?

  • Katherine says:

This is so cute! I think it’s wonderful that not only are you willing to show your mom how to do this, but that she’s willing to take direction. I try to help people all the time, but it’s hard to find someone with follow-through (he he, even myself on occasion!)

  • Is Tiff M.I.A.?

It’s Monday night here, and still no new vlogs. Getting withdrawal symptoms *shriek!*

Hope you have an update for us soon.

    THANKS again for MiniMart Supersale!

    • Tiffany says:

I’ve been sick Helene – more to come today :)

      • Allen Walker says:

        Get well soon, Tiffany. :)

Your mom’s progress is really awesome! Sometimes it can be really difficult to teach someone something new like internet marketing, but her progress seems so effortless.

Well, I’m sure she must be working hard though. ;) I wish I were such an amazing teacher.

        Cheers,
        Allen
