Branding Brand, Birthday, Angel Fund,

Hi everyone! Hope your Tuesday’s going great – mine is! I love when my son (oldest) and hubby are home during the day – hubby’s got an on call type of job so he’s in and out or home all day. Love that! Son is off and on with classes. So I’m not alone, which is nice for me ;) Okay let’s talk about some various things:

Branding Challenge

Got an email from Oki that he’s having trouble finding a royalty free branding iron like I wanted so he’s going to come up with a different creation. I had sent him someone else’s images  to use as an idea of what I want and istockphoto doesn’t have anything similar. Poo!

I’m working on the course. It’s good to set a deadline for yourself – announce it publicly, have people pay before you even start, etc because then it lights a fire under your butt to get going! And someone asked me if they could donate their $1 to the Angel Fund instead of getting it back – yes, you can – we’ll figure all that out in the end.

I also keep getting asked by people via email if the fact that they’ll be away for a few days, or a week in October will pose a problem or prevent them from completing the challenge. The answer is no. We’re setting it to 30 days but you guys have seen how I do challenges – we want to keep a fire lit under our butts, but if we don’t feel well or have to take a few days off, do it and pick up where you left off. So you might complete the challenge in 37 days or 42 days.

Don’t beat yourself up about it. Just also try not to stretch it out to like 365 days LOL!

Angel Fund

Speaking of Angel Funds… I may have our first recipient in the works. We are now at $765 so for now, I don’t want to put a donation button on there. Let’s use up the funds we have now to help some people. Then I’ll add it when we’re getting low.

PLR Special By the Birthday Girl

Want to give a little birthday shout out to one of our own here today – a fellow PLR ATM graduate celebrating her big 4-0 this week TipTopCat (Victoria)! She’s running a birthday specialat her PLR store where everything’s $2.50 at:

http://www.theplrboutique.com

Happy birthday, Victoria!

This Is SO True

Ever see this one? It’s the TRUTH – it’s how every single successful person I know has ever gotten from A to Z. It’s how you will, too – so stop beating yourself up about mistakes or bad decisions. We ALL have them. It’s called growth. It’s a great way to learn, which is why I feel “turnkey” business in a box options are so detrimental. You learn nothing about “from scratch” building and it’s like being plopped down in the middle of chaos.

I hope y’all have a great day! Don’t forget I have that Halloween PLR WSO special going on right now – 30 articles for $17.

Have a great day!
Tiff ;)

Tell Victoria I said happy birthday. Also, how does the angel fund work? I’m in a bad way right now. I had two surgeries so far and am going for three in a week or two. Because of my health, I can’t go out and get work.

I am applying online for writing assignments, but the people are slow in responding. I’m not here begging, I just wanted to let people know my situation, so if someone wanted to help, they could. Once I get back on my feet again, I will be helping others by contributing to the fund.

    Thanks Tiff.

    • Tiffany says:

Hi Harry! The angel fund will provide assistance to people who need courses to educate themselves on their Internet Marketing journey. It doesn’t provide money – just resources. Email me if you need to discuss that part.

    • Isobel says:

Harry, try applying to Demand Studios for writing assignments. They pay from $15 to $25 per article, depending on topic. You do best there if you have a speciality such as business, technology, nutrition etc. You start with the $15 titles and can apply for the better-paying ones, but even at $15 people make a full-time living there.

  • Hi Tiff,

Thank you for the shout out.
People have been so nice and left me birthday wishes, both on the WSO thread and in private emails.

The Branding Challenge – Roll on October!

That’s so funny, I was writing in my journal this AM about how I started a long time ago with many different ways to make money and many I have forgotten but it’s finally coming together and it’s no wonder – I’m finally starting to straighten out all the learning curves. Thanks, Tiff. Looking forward to the branding challenge. Finally got my Youtube video posted! Yea.

  • tony says:

I love that drawing. It made me laugh and smile. And that’s a good way to start the day.

  • Alice Coaxum says:

    Hi Tiffany,

Have you checked dreamstime.com for branding photos? That’s a good pic. As a newbie you do think that it is a straight route to success .. LOL and then you learn that there are twists and turns.

  • Tell Victoria Happy Birthday from me.

Can’t wait to get started on the Branding.

Don’t have a mailing list yet but thought of putting the halloween costumes in my Blog for my PLR.

If that is what success looks like, I must be on the right path. LOL

  • Zoe says:

Thanks Tiff for the heads up on the PLR special. Also, I entered the challenge but I am somewhat confused. Where can I find information here about what is expected for a successful finish? Sorry I am a little out of it. Thanks.

  • Zoe says:

There I go again. Send a Big HAPPY BIRTHDAY to Victoria.

  • Ruth says:

I love that picture! I’ve been questioning my progress and success a lot lately, letting the “fear” get to me and so on. It helps to remind myself everyone struggles!

As for the angel fund, I’m so glad that you are going to be helping people. I love the idea of donating the $1 back into it too – very simple but could make a difference :)

  • Tiffiney C. says:

Happy Birthday to Victoria! No way would I have guessed (based on her photo on her site) that she’s anywhere close to 40 – must be that great, youthful, spunky attitude that’s keepin’ her young!

I’m excited about the Branding Challenge! I’m almost finished with Accidental Branding. One thing that stands out to me is the fearlessness of those featured in the book – or at least, their ability to see the possibilities instead of the impossible-ness of the tasks required of them to build their business. Definitely two attributes I need to work on!

Also, just wanted to let you know there’s an update email in your inbox from me. No need to respond, I’d just wanted to let you know that I’m taking action on the advice you gave. Thanks again!

  • Andre says:

Give a big shoutout birthday wish to Victoria from me. Looking forward to getting started with the branding challenge. not sure what to expect but sure it will be fun. I want to see that person that used the straight line to success. They should bottle it and sell it. LOL. Where is your G+ button?

  • Shirley Horne says:

Hi Tiff, I finally got in on the branding challenge. 1st time something did not work but this time it did.

That success picture is the truth – hard to swallow but good to know. I am so glad to know upfront and be able to prepare myself the best I can.

Wrapping my mind around being the best at something is daunting but I am looking forward to the journey. I want to understand the whole process.

Thanks for being accessible. This newbie is very grateful.:)

    Happy birthday Victoria!

  • Sam says:

    Hi Tiffany:
Glad everything is back on track for you. I really like the part of the post that talks about success. Boy, that is so true the way you show it. Take Care,

  • Tiff,

I love that diagram. That’s how my progress is. Wondered if anyone had that straight line progress. But I’m guessing not. Business just isn’t like that when you are an entreprenuer. Seeing it and hearing you say that made me feel good. I must be on the right track!

    Debbie

  • Lynn says:

Happy Birthday Victoria! Welcome to the 40 club. Isn’t it grand :) ) I just love birthdays!! What a great illustration and so very accurate.I think I’m still in the squiggly part of the line, but I’m on my way! Looks like I missed the first branding challenge emails so I’m off to read the posts. Have a great day all!

  • Dianne says:

Love that little success diagram. Wow! Did they call and talk to me? LOL! :)

That sure hits the nail on the head, though, doesn’t it? We all think that the “guru’s” get there with no failures or disappointments. Just look at the depiction on the right side of the diagram. That is, I am sure, more true than we know about some of the people you might think just touch something and it turns to gold.

    Thanks Tiff.

  • Dick Dunlop says:

Happy 40th Victoria may you have a big one,
    Diagram is smack on,

Can anyone help me here, I’m looking for a free ebook compiler… My books are getting untidy, and have to finish by the end of the month..Many thanks in advance
    Dick

  • Hi, I just bought the WSO for the Halloween articles. I needed these for my sites.

    Thanks,

    Carolyn

  • jan says:

Happy birthday Victoria – hope you are doing something special. I remember being 40!!!

Wow that image Tiff, it is so very, very accurate! I think that I may be in that tangled mumbo, jumbo bit in the middle at the moment.

  • Isobel says:

Tiff, I’m prompted by an email I received today to tell you how much I appreciate your honesty in all parts of your business.

The email came from a well-known female marketer who wrote about a product: “It’s actually really easy, and now there’s even a course out there called [removed], that walks you through all the steps! I just got done going through the entire course, and I was totally blown away. Even as an experienced marketer I learned a ton of new stuff and even plan on doing [removed] myself.”

I assumed from the above that it was a third-party product she was recommending, but when I went to the page she linked to, her name was at the bottom of the sales letter – i.e. it was something she was SELLING.

I replied to the email saying I found it confusing – but what I got back was an email with the subject line “Your Email Will Not Be Read”. Really? How rude! And Your Product Will Not Be Purchased (and neither will anything else you sell). That was an easy unsubscribe!h

  • Nancy Farris says:

I’m a little late for the virtual Birthday wishes, but hope you enjoyed your day, Victoria! happy belated 40th! :)

Tiff – thank you so much for sharing the image! I’ve been feeling lately like I’m running around in circles – mostly with the technical stuff… It’s refreshing to know I’m right on track!! LOL

Great reminder, and really made my day! :)
