Someone had asked me if it’s possible to do a free trial period with DLGuard. I wasn’t sure, since I don’t yet use it with a membership site, so I went to the product owner, Sam Stephens, to ask him.

Sam told me, “Yes, it sure can (depending of course, on the payment processor). I assume you’re using Paypal? Then you can set up a free trial when you create your membership group.” You can use DLGuard’s membership system for PayPal, ClickBank or LinkPoint or you can do a single purchase tag with any processor. Whenever your member cancels, DLG removes their access to the site if you’re using PayPal. With LinkPoint and Clickbank, since they don’t have a notification feature, you just cancel their memberships yourself by searching for their name in the DLGuard system and click on the Mark As Refunded link by their name.
