I know I’ll get through this tough couple of weeks. I look back and think of the stress that the A/C caused and it’s nothing comparatively. I sure have loved the support from all of you. Coincidentally, I received two cards in the mail today – from Rebecca Longster and Becki Maxson offering support in regards to what happened LAST week. Thank you so much for that. Rebecca, that is a very calming image on the card. Did you paint that? It’s amazing. And Becki, that you for complimenting me on my work with the Extra Mile card. It makes me feel better especially in the midst of feeling like I’m dropping the ball.

I can’t put my finger on why my cousin Amy’s death has hit me so hard. We all thought it might be coming, but at 39, you don’t expect it to REALLY happen. I don’t know…so sorrow filled. One of my customers posted something about how with such bad luck recently, I should get a lottery ticket because it’s bound to turn around. So with a chuckle (because my grandmother and Amy used to get lottery tickets with my dad all the time), I got some when I had to go to the store today. Not because my thoughts were on money but because I remembered us all sitting around talking about the lottery (my dad and Amy and Maw Maw would all get riled up about people saying they never win when those same people never played). So I did it in honor of them.

The weird thing is even my chihuahua can feel my sadness. She’s been SO hyper lately, but all day has just sat in my arms calm. She’ll eat, go potty, and come crawl back to my lap and give me a kiss and just look at me.

I’m also so sorry for those of you who have conveyed that you too lost someone you loved recently. It seems almost all of us have had heartbreak and death is so final – that’s the saddest part of it all. I miss her. I love her. I hope she’s at peace and back in the arms of my grandmother, who raised her.

They say God never puts more on you than you can handle. I’m there.

Is this As Good As It Gets (I love that movie? Another day another issue. My computer decided it’d be tons of fun to randomly freeze up on me. So I’ll be in mid sentence in a Word doc and – oops – can’t type, can’t save – have to shut down manually and start over. So I’m working with geekstogo.com on clearing this up.

It’s okay – I’m not going to let it defeat me. I’m feeling better. My hubby’s headed out of town so it’s going to be just me and the kids. Since my son has no car, I told him he could have friends over this week – tons of 17 yr olds. I prefer that to them being out on the road.

Aside from ghostwriting today I have to go to the body repair shop to sign papers and let them begin work. I have to take the hubby to get a rental car – he leaves too early in the morning so he takes a rental to the airport (costs less than a shuttle). He’s headed home to New Hampshire and camping in Maine. It’s a vacation for both of us because I get to be a slob like I enjoy. lol – it’ll be relaxing.

Also need to take the baby dog in for last set of shots and nail trim. Lots to do…better get started.

Hi everybody. I wanted to respond to all of you who have commented and emailed me. Woke up again this morning to another offer to handle my ghostwriting. So selfless people are. I can’t take anyone up on that, though – it’s something they hired me for and I’ll finish it. I heard back from 2 of the 5 customers so far.

The first one said he too is used to bringing up the rear, so he understood. That gave me a chuckle. The second said to take care of myself, he’d rather have top quality than rushed for a deadline and here’s something very sweet – he said if any of the others have a problem, since he’s 2nd in line, to give them his spot and he’ll wait longer so I don’t have to offer a refund. How sweet is that?

Stuff like this is why I’m not one of those people who harps on how bad people are. I know people like that – always complaining about “stupid people.” Well most people I interact with are genuine, big hearted individuals who would take time for a stranger because it’s the right thing to do.

Today I am starting out writing 10 pages for client #1 who I haven’t heard back from yet. Maybe I’ll finish before I hear anything back. The body shop wanted me to come down to do paperwork but I told them tomorrow – I just need to feel like I’m on a roll with my work first before I handle any other tasks and I don’t care if the car has to wait another day. I got a good night’s rest last night – I slept from 1 AM to 10:30 AM so I’m clear-headed.

Thanks for being there for me. As a work at home hermit whose family and friends all live out of state, it means a lot. You’re my online family. ((hugs))

Just got a call – my aunt Charlotte died.

Our A/C failed inspection AGAIN. The guy came out and half-assed the insulation of the wiring outside. The inspector is reporting a violation on them w/the state of Texas and won’t ever let that company install in Kennedale again.

I am wondering how much will pile on me before the week’s up – and the worst part is, my mind doesn’t work well for writing when I’m upset like this. I stare at my screen
