If You Need to Make Money FAST, Learn a Service Skill!

I hear so many stories about how people need $1,000 by Friday or how they don’t know how they’ll make next month’s rent. They ask me how to make money fast. They think signing up as an affiliate from scratch would help them rake in several thousand dollars but you have to have built a list to take in thousands in one day.

It takes awhile to be able to make money fast when you need it. For example, when I first started out, I had to bid on writing projects and wait to get picked. There was nothing fast about it. Now, however, after a few years of branding myself as a top ghostwriter and a marketer, I have two ways I can make money quickly online.

I can use the list I’ve built to recommend s QUALITY (key word here) product. If I promote crap, my list might as well be a pile of poo because they won’t trust me enough to listen to my recommendations. Even when I need money for whatever (taxes, kids’ private school, etc.), I never even think of pulling the wool over my subscribers’ eyes.

Why? Because I get dozens of emails saying, “Tiffany – I trust you. I don’t have the money for this unless it’s really going to help me. Please be honest.” So I am. I’ve been there before so to advise people to burn their money would make me feel just as bad as if I had stood behind them and pilfered through their wallet and stolen. I won’t do it, period.

Another way to make money fast on the ‘net is to learn a craft and piggyback on other offers. This is HUGE! As a ghostwriter, I can launch a special and take in $5,000-$15,000 in one day. I’ve done it many, many times. My biggest day was $26,000 – but that was from one customer :)

However, here’s how you can utilize services if you don’t have the reputation yet:

1.) Join the Warrior Forum free at http://www.warriorforum.com/index.php?referrerid=35453 and participate on the forum regularly so people get to know you and so that you can keep your eyes peeled on the WSO forum.

2.) Hone your skills – whether it’s writing, graphics, or website building. Can you build a lens on Squidoo or a Hub on Hub Pages? Can you bookmark a link? That’s a skill people pay for.

3.) Look for piggyback ideas. For example. I found and loved and then promoted Info Product Killer. My list loved it, But many asked me if I had anyone who knew how to do graphics for their pages. I said no at the time but my husband piped up and said, “Oh that’s easy!”

This image is one my husband made for the Bakugan Battle Brawlers 6-pack – one of the top selling toys on Amazon.com this year. I had NO clue how to do the wording with it, but he did. So he created the images. We’re creating packs of these to sell to others who bought IPK because I’m sure many are in the same boat.

Others could piggyback off of me. I have people who buy my Building an eBook Empire who, although they get directions on how to set up their site, don’t have time or patience for it, so they want to know if there’s anyone who can simply upload ftp files for them!! You could make money off of stuff like this.

Recession Slump Marketing for Online and Offline Businesses

John Lawlor has created a tactic called Slump Marketing, where you harness the power of various online tools and sites to keep your business afloat.

As an online marketer, you may think your business is exempt from recession issues, but it’s no different – consumers are going to pick and choose how and where they spend ANY extra money they have after necessities.

We should all be considering how to recession proof our business. Lawlor does a great job of explaining it.

Flipping My Lens for $600 and Up

Well I decided to part with a lens I’ve sat on for 3 months that’s earned me $493. I hate to get rid of it, but I also own some other toddler toy lens URLs, so I can create a new one with no problem.

My sale is here: http://socialmarketing101.com/blog/uncategorized/top-toddler-toys-lens-for-sale-already-earned-493-in-3-months.php in case you want to see it.

I REALLY need an auction site or some way to hold private bids. I have a silent bidder who doesn’t want his niche known, so he’s the first bidder. But how do you convey that to new bidders? Hmm. Hard to say! There need to be more selling outlets online.

The World Is Your R&D Department

This is a phrase I found thumbing through a book at Barnes and Noble this week. Really had an impact on me. I believe wholeheartedly in this statement, because I live it. It’s how I create products, it’s how I find blog post ideas, and how I communicate with my customers.

R&D, for those who don’t know, is research and development. For those of you sitting there scratching your head wondering where ideas come from, they come from the world around you! One of the BEST resources I’ve found, for instance is Woman’s Weekly magazine. They’re a national weekly publication and inside those pages, you find information on herbs, beauty, stress, relationships, money, and more!

Another great resource? My 15-year old son. Whatever he’s into is going to be profitable online – because he’s a spender! Halo 3? He himself sold 3 Squidoo lenses and raked in $100 per lens on the topic.

The news. Bird flu. Baby Boomers. Debt. It’s all in the news.

The ‘net. Social marketing. Forums. eBay. Squidoo. TrendHunter. ClickBank.

You have to start looking around, whipping out your notebook and jotting down quick ideas for later use. Watch your keyword stats – see how people are searching, and then use those in your web content, your blog posts, and products!

You have a vast number of resources around you – get organized with a Word doc and an Excel spredsheet and get busy!

The BOA Method

Well I might as quit if the competition is THIS good. And I’m being serious. I was working on a new product to launch for the ‘net on blogging because I get so many questions about it.

I like to consider myself one of the marketers who do a pretty good job of providing step-by-step blueprints for my customers in
language you can understand. Like my Squidoo eBook, for instance: step-by-step – how to set up a lens.

I was doing the same thing with blogging – making a step-by-step eBook (and I even had video topics I was going to do for you!). I had learned a lot from Craig Desorcy and wanted to let the trickle effect take place where I share his insight with you.

Now…scrapped. In the trash bin on my desktop.

Someone else came along and blew my product idea out of the water. Makes me feel green with envy. My eBook – would have taken you about a week to become fully functional. The competition’s? 2 minute set-up and 24-hour cash income. Crushed me.

Here’s the product I’m talking about: http://www.tiffanydow.com/BOA

Recently I got an invite to be interviewed by Mike Antoni about Squidoo for his BOA members. (Did ya already get an email about
it? Well you and I both know many gurus push trash, so let me give me personal opinion of it). Right before the interview, I asked Mike what his BOA members were studying.

He explained it was about blogging and said he was writing an eBook and launching a membership site with turnkey perks. And let me throw in that I respect other marketers who take on a beta group or even a single guinea pig like I did with Sandra Brown and my Building an eBook Empire. It shows they believe in their product.

Call it pure vanity, but I wanted to size it up against mine – because I’m a product snob. So he promised to send it to me to
review once it was done. (His members were in on a beta launch membership). I got it yesterday and I’m heartbroken.

All of that work I did on my own product and it’s worthless. Now if I released it, it’d look like I was a copycat – and a poor
copycat at that, since I emailed Mike and said, “Wow, Mike! This is the best eBook I’ve read in a LONG time!”

Aside from the eBook’s amazingly layout (which those of you in product creation ought to take note of when you read it), the
actual content was…sniffle…better than what I was writing! WAH!!

I felt I could do better than what was already out there, and I WAS! But mine wasn’t even about to live up to this. Plus, they
included a membership with this thing called the Magic BOA Button. I couldn’t have done this at ALL because it requires some tech savvy to be able to give your customers a plug-in perk like that.

If you’re new to blogging (or even doing it, but kinda by the seat of your pants, and want BOTH the technical step-by-step details with easy screen shots AND the thought-processes that it takes to launch a money-making blog in any niche), then buy BOA.

http://www.tiffanydow.com/BOA

Oh – it pains me to say that!

I picture the dollar signs flying right out of the window, but the fact is – I can’t compete with this product. Sometimes you have to admit this and move on, so I will. The BOA Method dissects the technical part of blogs and makes it sooooo easy, but he also must have come in and picked my brain while I slept, because he writes a great portion on how to fill your blog with great content and get traffic to it – from a content perspective.

I’m going to go cry myself to sleep tonight. Maybe not serious about the crying part, but definitely disappointed that someone
scooped me with such a great idea and such top quality.

Mike Antoni and Lisa Diane – hats off to you guys.

P.S. – Did I mention this guide also teaches article marketing, affiliate marketing, product creation as it pertains to creating a
PDF, list building, and social bookmarking in a step-by-step format? I hadn’t even considered tying all of that in – he’s
created a complete IM guide in disguise.

P.P.S. – I know they had a major launch recently, so you may already own this because all of the “gurus” launched it. I wasn’t a
part of that buzz, but for once – the gurus got it right – they didn’t push trash on you – they pushed pure gold.

How to Fund an Internet Marketing Start-Up

If you’re starting out in Internet marketing, you may have noticed that it takes some money to make some money. Yes, it’s possible to do it all for almost nothing, but if you’re not tech-savvy, you may need to hire a web designer, graphic creator, pay for hosting, etc.

I get emails every day from people wanting to know how to start making money online FAST. They need the money ASAP because otherwise, they have to leave Internet marketing behind and go find a J-O-B.

Passive Income at Its Best

Since amping up my online selling strategy, I decided to pick one thing and get good at it. I like the idea of affiliate marketing because I need $0 up front and the payoff is hefty, unlike AdSense where you have to launch a site, bulk it up, and slowly see clicks adding up.
