How to Make an Animated Avatar on Twitter
NOTE: For awhile Twitter said they weren’t allowing this kind of avatar but just this week (July 17, 2010), I had someone tell me they were able to do it too – just make sure the file is small enough – and his worked! So try it out…
Some people love ‘em, some people hate ‘em. I loved it when I saw it, so I did it. Some people unfollow when you do it. I’m talking about animating your avatar on Twitter!
If you head over to look at my avatar here: http://www.Twitter.com/TiffanyDow you will see my animated avatar. I saw another girl whose pic was animated and DM’d her to ask how she did it and she told me, so I’ll pass it along to you:
How to Twitter
Hearing a lot about Twitter lately but don’t know the difference between a Tweet and a Twhirl? Did someone call you their Tweople and you had a confused look on your face?
Don’t worry. You can learn how to Twitter, too.
Twitter is all over the media (Barack used it to reach his target audience). Everyone you know may Tweet on a regular basis. You need a Twitter account, too. Here’s the great thing – you never have to sit there and spend hours creating pages for THIS web 2.0 site.
Twitter is easy to sign up for. Once you have your account, you just post brief messages to let people know what you’re up to.
Can you use it for marketing?
YES!
Twitter is great for driving traffic to your domain. There are guides on how to get Twitter Traffic that cost $10 or so – a marketing strategy that fits any budget.
Is there a Do/Don’t list for how to use Twitter?
Yes, there is. If you do nothing but spam, you’re going to be 86′d from most people’s follow list. If you let them get to know you a bit (YOU, not your brand), they will follow along closely.
Learning how to use Twitter is easy and painless.
If you want to, leave a comment here and I’ll put you on my follow list and others who read my blog can follow you, too!
