Day 2 of Tiffany Dow’s Jobless Journey
Here I am on day 2. Focusing on losing weight and reinventing myself with my business. I felt it was a great day today! I had some good analogies in my thought process and I have an idea I want to do – let me know your feedback on it because it’s important to me! If you want to visit my vlog about the weight loss portion of this journey, you can find it at my.sparkpeople.com/tiffyrae – but this video above is about my business reinvention.
Tiff

Hi Tiffany,
I’m glad to have provided you with one of those sales today!
I think you’re doing yourself a big service for the long run, by deciding what you want out of your business and personal life! You’ve even got me thinking about mine business & where I want to go with it!
Love the analogy of the Bonsai…
Keep up the great job & I look forward to keeping up with your progress!
Marilyn
Hi Tiffany,
I can sure understand where you’re coming from, and do agree that it is a good idea to get more focused and to define a more specific niche for your business.
It is scary though (to me) to hear you talking about pruning off your ghostwriting business. I have surely come to depend on you for high-quality articles. I don’t know of anyone else of your caliber that is helping small and new marketers likd myself.
Anyway, we are all blessed by your help in whatever direction you take.
Thanks for all of your help!
Mike
Hey Tiff,
I love the “in your face” review idea. I think that once you got established as THE
go-to person to get an honest review your business would soar. Simply because all the writers would want your seal of approval on their product. Kinda like the Siskel & Ebert of ebooks.
Congrats on the 3 pounds, and I’m glad you got out in the sunshine, it is a major mood lifter. When I worked for a MLM company for 2 years I didn’t have any summers for those 2 years, just worked. This summer has been great, I’ve been doing my writing outside on my patio on the weekends, and the sun feels fantastic.
Mary
Great analogy. I am going to have to look at a tree today and see what I see in my life.
Congratulation on the weight loss. You have me thinking about my own need to lose some pounds.
I like your presentation of this 30 day and am glad I found it on day one. You are more inspiring than some of the really big dollar IM speakers. Your story feels real.
The “one drawback” as I review todays offering is to back away from the camera like you were yesterday. It is better framing in my opinion. Head and shoulder shoulders was much nicer.
Marilyn – thank you! I appreciate the support AND the sale
Ken – no problem. All the posts will still be there when you’re ready to get in.
Mike – I know I had some others respond the same way. I’m not 100% sure either way – there are (financial) logistics to figure into this too. I’m just thinking off pure emotions right now.
Mary – I feel the same way and hoped I had explained it well enough – you got it! I know that Rich Jerk makes people pay him $1,000 for 1 minute of time (I had a friend who did it lol) to see if he would JV with them. So you obviously didn’t approach him unless you were pretty confident. Worked for my friend, though. On the sun, I’m scared because about what, 2 years ago? I had a skin cancer scare on my nose (all those years of golf). I had it removed but they said it would come back within 5 years.
Hey Bob! That’s a good idea – it helped me to stare up at the tree for half an hour (seriously). I will usually be backed away from the camera. Wanna know the truth? It was already evening and I was in my jammies. I didn’t want to horrify everyone with a shot of my torso in PJs. Yes, I’m a real marketer who really works in her pajamas. LOL! But then, I may have horrified everyone with a close up shot. Sorry bout that! LOL
Great analogy Tiff. I’m there with ya—built something too big–now what?? I got decisions to make.
Hey Tiff,
I absolutely loved the tree/bonzai analogy! This is so great that you’re stepping back to take a good look at your business. You had to or you would have seen the forest, not the tree. lol
I like the review idea. You could even do it as two things – 1.Review of product for those experienced marketers who would like the Tiff seal of approval and 2.For those who are not confident about their product because they’re new to this whole scene, you could do a product analysis hitting on what looks good, and instruction and ideas on what doesn’t. This number 2 could really help newbies.
Awesome on the lost poundage!
Peggy
Hi Tiff,
I loved the tree analogy too. I’m suggesting to my students to come over here and watch your videos for a couple of reasons – first of all, to see how you’re looking at your business and deciding what you want to focus on and how you’re making your choices.
And secondly, to get some ideas about the different types of income streams they can add to their own businesses.
Thanks for the open and honest way you’re doing this.
Warmly,
Cheryl
Peggy – I like the split idea of the reviews. I have to think about it for awhile.
Cheryl – Thanks for sending your students to watch! Someone asked me if I was just being entertaining or if there was purpose to this. I think there’s purpose – it’s helpful watching a butterfly unravel herself from a cocoon right? LOL That’s what I feel like anyway
Congrats on your weight loss success. Nice to see a Red Sox fan, too. I enjoyed listening to your thoughts and your post was inspiring. I need more branches in my business so I’m in the opposite situation.
I wish you luck on everything. My cat sat next to me and put his ear on the speaker while I was watching the video. He liked your voice!
Red Sox fan!? I’m a Rangers fan! LOL But my husband is a Red Sox fan – and my Rangers t-shirt mysteriously went missing awhile back. hmmmm. LOL Having more branches is another thing I need to talk about, so thank you for that inspiration! Awww love the cat comment. LOL!
