Both my wife and I carry a small river polished rock in our pockets. It is a reminder to FOCUS. Each time we feel that small stone, it reminds us to focus on the task as hand.
It is not a “must have” talisman we would mourn if we lost. It has no value other than a “string around the finger” reminder. It doesn’t always work. It is not a good luck piece. It is simply a rock with a purpose.
Little things help us, just as your tree, branches and leaves helped you focus on you business.
Your pruning reminds me of the saying, “Get rid of what you don’t want to make room for what you do want”.
OH, I have decided to follow your 30 days and feed on your energy to see if I can focus on my direction and prune things from my life also.
Also, the “bobsstuff” comes from my Warrior Forum ID in case you wondered.
Bob – I love that. I love rocks. I collected them when I was younger and still have a box of special ones I collected from all around the US. I like the way you talk about its purpose – I’m not superstitious myself, so having something like that as a reminder only is perfect!
Mary – I did not change my diet other than to watch my hunger cues. My nutritionist at http://www.nutritionparadox.com (she’s local for me so I see her in her office) teaches that there are no bad foods/good foods lists – you just listen to your body. It’s the perfect solution for me. Glad you’re refocusing on your own goals too!
Brandon – Thank you for the kind comment. I’m doing okay with my weight loss right now, but thanks for the offer of help! I know what I need to do – just have to do it
Way to go Tiff! You are doing great with your weight loss. Did you change your diet also or is it just the exercise?
I am so glad that you have a supportive husband. They are such a life line aren’t they? My husband and I have been together for 32 years. Don’t know what I would do without his support over the past 5 years of trying to find a home biz that fits.
I really appreciate your honesty about spreading yourself too thin. I think as women we just have a tendency to do that. I know I do, and you talking about that today has me rethinking some of the directions I am going in.
I’ve been following you and your business for probably the last year or so and have bought several of your products. You’re very inspiring and I love how you’re laying it all out there for people to see. That’s not something many people would have the guts to do.
I’d love to help you in your weight loss journey – if you want any help. Just send me an email.
