Finally! My Blogging to the Bank 3.0 Review
In my post a few days ago, I mentioned that I had ordered Blogging to the Bank 3.0 and was going to review it for you. But after ordering, I got no download so had to wait until today.
Rob Benwell, the author of BTTB 3.0 (who is a member of the Warrior Forum), contacted me via PM and gave me the download link later in the day. Someone else had kindly sent me the download link as well. So I got it, have had a chance to go through it, and here is my formal review:
First things first: If you already own one of the previous versions, don’t buy Blogging to the Bank 3.0. It’s not new enough to warrant a second or third copy.
That said, if you’re a total newbie to blogging, then this is a good product. It covers all the basics and some thing you may not have found elsewhere in more basic guides. I agree with almost everything he teaches. He does need to have a professional go through and edit it, so if wording is your pet peeve, his guide might bug you.
To be perfectly honest, if I was a total newbie, I WOULD NOT invest any money into this at first. I’d go instead of IdiotProofBlogging.com and sign up to the free tutorials and read Craig Desorcy’s free guide. It’s a better place to start for free with step by step information and screen shots.
What’s in Rob’s Blogging to the Bank 3.0 IS stuff you can find free online, as someone else pointed out, HOWEVER - so is the information found in my Squidoo eBook. It’s having everything all in one place that matters.
Bottom line:
For technical prowess for newbies who want to set up their blog right from the beginning, get Craig’s IdiotProofBlogging guide called “Your First WordPress Blog: The Beginner’s Definitive Guide.” You flatass can’t find a better technical for dummies guide than this – trust me – I’m a tech dummy, I can attest to this.
Once you have it set up and want to learn more about monetization, you might consider grabbing Rob’s Blogging to the Bank 3.0 if you don’t have an earlier version. However, on the IdiotProofBlogging site, it’s a blog itself that teaches blogging, so you’re also going to find good, free information there on topics such as:
Making Money from Banners
Productive Blogging
Topic Research
etc…
I am always a firm believer in going FREE first (as long as it’s top quality) and then supplementing it with paid products like Rob Benwell’s Blogging to the Bank 3.0.
That’s my opinion. Take it or leave it.

Very nice review. I like the honest approach you took. I would agree that it is definitely for beginners but I think it is worth the price.
Thanks for the really honest review of BTTB3, Tiffany. I’ve read lots of reviews that said that this guide is a bit basic as well. Btw how is this product compared to another Warriors’ blogging products such as Atomic Blogging or Blogger’s Paycheque?
I second the thanks for the honest review. I’m new to all this affiliate marketing/PLR stuff and so often I search for a review of something I’m about to shell out hard earned $$ for and just find loads of positive reviews with affiliate links in. Of course no one’s going to put you off when they’re going to earn a buck too right?
Thanks for the tip about the website – I’m off to check it out.
Very refreshing review – honest and not a pure recommendation just to make a buck, so thanks for that. I’ll check out Craig’s site too. Always nice to find good free resources!
I just recently purchased Blogging to the Bank. I ran into some issues using wordpress, and attempting to host it with godaddy.
Is there better, much easier hosting out there?
Also, how long does it really take to profit from a blog if you are blogging hard?
Lastly, with what you know about blogging…is it truly possible for Rob to generate over $90K in a month using what he is teaching in Blogging to the Bank?
Thanks for the feedback!
Antonio
Hi Antonio!
Oh gosh yes. I used to use goDaddy too but then everyone told me a better way – and I love it: http://www.tiffanydow.com/Hostgator.html I have a baby or hatchling plan – can’t remember which – it’s under $10, unlimited domains, easy to use.
Blogging hard – profitability depends on SO many factors – what topic, what kind of traffic you’re getting, what you’re pushing. I mean if you’re pushing $9 products with a 4% commission, it’ll take your longer than pushing a $97 product with 50% commission.
Do I think Rob makes $90k a month blogging? I can’t answer that. I believe he may make $90k a month – but I wonder how much of that is blogging about his blogging product? I’d love to see niche proof. But again, that’s me thinking aloud. I have no clue what he does in niche areas and how much is real versus proof of sales but by blogging ebook sales.

Thank you so much for that. I already have BTTB 2.0 and was just about to buy this. I’ll use the money I would have spent to get you Squidoo eBook instead.

Hi Tiffany,
Nice review. I can confirm what you’re writing about BTTB 3.0. This is not suitable for an ultimate beginner, I think, because it doesn’t teach you how to blog. Rather, it is meant to show you how to attack a niche market with money-making blogging. It is very focussed, straight-to-the-point ebook. No fluff.
I would recommend this ebook to bloggers who are concentrated on getting fast profit. It can also help a blogger involved in Internet Marketing to boost his business if it’s stuck for whatever reason.
Right – it’s more about profiting. My mine concern was people who already owned BTTB asking if they should go buy the newer version – and that’s a no. LOL
