Follow Up to My Craig Kaye Video
Good morning everyone!
So I heard from Craig Kaye yesterday and before we go any further can I clarify again that Craig Kaye and Craig Desorcy (my mentor) are NOT the same person? I keep getting asked that.
Craig was, as I had hoped, very humble about the situation. He could have lashed out at me, ignored us, etc. He didn’t. He was sorry it had gotten out of control and to this point. I do honestly believe by his reply that he was shocked and embarrassed.
I will leave it up to Craig to convey his current situation but what I will tell you is this:
It appears that he had given certain responsibilities (support, server handlings, etc) to two employees – Brendan and Adrian.
Now when complaints are coming in ABOUT support TO support, what do you suppose happens to those complaints? I’m guessing they just deleted them. I personally think those 2 employees suck – but that’s just my $0.02. They either ignored emails or replied in a crappy manner to them. I read some of them. Totally unhelpful – and I told Craig that.
Craig mistakenly allowed himself the freedom to remove himself from the day to day handlings of things, so he was not checking the forum, not monitoring anything himself and as I said in my video, I had only sent him a small fraction of the complaints (which he personally handled immediately) so he never knew the magnitude.
Still, as I HOPED, he said that was no excuse and he should have known – and he’s right. He knew the server initially went down, but Brendan never told him it was STILL down, so he vowed to get it back up within 24 hours and I think he did from what I’m hearing from customers emailing me. Are your NB sites back up?
Moving forward, Craig promised to personally check support issues on this. He said this whole situation was way short of unacceptable and he apologized to me for the grief it’s caused me personally.
He also needed a little more clarification on the IPK support issues. He understood the NB server complaints but was confused about IPK complaints. Here is what I told him and if you would like to add anything to the IPK issue, please do so below so Craig can see it all in one place:
“IPK JUST started happening after the relaunch. People were expecting monthly updates and say it hasn’t happened since June or July? They’ve sent in questions they have about how IPK works and no one helps them. Sometimes someone won’t be able to get a video to work and will email me saying, “Can you help me?”
Several times I heard this, “I sent a question to them and Adrian just pointed to some video and told me to go watch it. That didn’t help!”
I think the way Adrian has replied has rubbed so many people the wrong way. It’s like he doesn’t really help. Therefore, they come BACK to me, and I wind up looking at their site and helping. For instance, Vince couldn’t get his sites indexed. It looked like he’d done everything right according to IPK but 6 weeks later, no indexing of 6 of his 7 sites. Adrian should give them some personal help if they’ve spent money on IPK and time doing what it says with no results. For instance, I told Vince to make ONE Squidoo lens and write one 150 word article about each site with one link to each site on it. In 48 hours all 6 sites were indexed (in 24 hours 3 of them were indexed). He is so relieved now.
Maybe have some sort of extra ideas you can email them – like “make a blog post pointing to the sites” or “on the one site that’s indexed, create a link to the other 6 sites so googlebots can crawl them” (or the lens idea or hub pages or a forum sig file, etc).”
After emailing that to Craig he promised to find out more about Adrian’s quality of replies.
All in all, I appreciate the way he’s handling this issue right now. We never know what all’s going on since we can’t see it, but I like to give people the benefit of the doubt when I have a good track record with them in the first place. Hopefully he’ll turn this around.
We shall see!
In other news, I got an email from someone who read about PLR ATM on an affiliate’s site yesterday. He contacted me asking if I had a link. I told him to go back to the affiliate’s site and buy through her link. He did. Would you do that for your affiliates? You should!
As for video versus text, look – I know some hate text – they look at this huge post and find it cumbersome and intimidating. Some see a video and feel the same way. When I polled my list, MOST wanted video. I personally prefer teaching in video but learning in text myself!
But there’s absolutely NO need to be hateful about it. If you dislike my media formats, please just learn from someone who you do enjoy rather than viciously comment and blog about it as if I have some ulterior motive for the media formats I use. That’s just not called for, period.
My video of 13 minutes yesterday – I playfully apologized for its length. Could I have rushed through and been more succinct? Probably! But I wanted to speak from the heart, not rehearse and script it. And I DID put the vital information in text – who I was stopping promoting plus the product names.
I won’t alter who I am just to please every single person out there. I needed those 13 minutes. I was nervous about making the video, I was saddened by it. I probably repeated myself. But it’s because I care about what I’m doing that I made sure I took time to get all my points across so I wasn’t quickly blasting a fellow marketer and then not explaining it thoroughly. That would have been careless and reckless – not to mention heartless.
Tiff

I was actually going to jump in in and pledge my support yesterday on the video vs text issue – So today I am DOING so — there are sixty five billion and a half “gurus” out there who never bother to let us see a human face and voice – you have broken that mold – I know you are not the first, but you always make me feel that you have taken the trouble to come into my room, my space, to explain, teach, share, or just chat about something on a friendly personal level, and that is worth its weight in gold. I have been a quiet observer, longtime subscriber to your youtube videos, and never responded, but now seemed to be the time! Be in no doubt that this is appreciated!! cheers – Ken from London
Here Here Tiffany!
With regards to your “As for video versus text…” post I hope those who viciously commented yesterday are suitably humbled, as they should be.
Please be assured whilst you can’t please everybody all the time, the VAST majority of your subscribers and supporters appreciate every minute you put into your blog.
Regards
Kate
“I won’t alter who I am just to please every single person out there. I needed those 13 minutes.”
Well said! Tiffany.
I feel the same way! Period! It’s your business and I’m a follower of passionate and the patient helpers/teachers of this IM world and there are only a few out there.
I have friend who is just entering the world of internet marketing (which is everything on the internet really) and he studies facts and probability, demographics etc (he is from the corporate world) and he cannot believe how much garbage and poor quality information is out there.
Luckily he has me to hold his reigns for a little while.
Kal Gutman
I think you’ve done a great job with all this. I completely understand why you were nervous making the video, and honestly I think it’s great that you had the courage to make it.
I love your videos. But I understand why not everyone does, plus I do like text as well. It really is all personal preference, though I do think you did a good job yesterday with the text intro to your video. It gave the gist of what was happening, and the video went into detail.
I am glad Craig is listening, but I’m sure it’s already cost him. And so it should. The support issues still don’t address the questionable promotional emails.
Anyway, I also wanted to say here on record THANK YOU for treating your affiliates the way you do. I love the way you’ve been promoting your affiliates and your students PLR sites too. And thank you personally for what you’ve done for my site, and sending people my way to the video I made in the first place. I really believe in PLR ATM as a product itself too. I had been meaning to send you this thank you message for a while – it really does make a difference.
And another thing. In some ways, you could consider us all competing against each other. Other PLR students setting up sites are competing against mine, for example (and your own), and you could have kept 100% of the affiliate sale instead of sending them back, but I feel like a real community is developing around PLR ATM (and here) where we all help each other out. We share our experiences and help each other even though we could technically be competitors. Congrats on creating a product that inspires action AND a community spirit.
Hey Tiffany – please do not apologize for being who you are…that is WHY we like you…that is why we stop by here every day to see what you are saying.
If a person’s time is so valuable that they cannot watch a 13 minute video why post a 100 word response telling us how little time you have? That simply does not make any sense.
I, for one, enjoy both formats – video and text AND, get ready for it, I actually learn new things when I stop by (I know, new concept and all).
Good for U
You have a good way about you in both Formats and I enjoy both
I have a choice but if someone doesn’t like how u do it then do it better themselves and until they do don’t criticize others
Rock on Tiffany!!! Kudos for your full-on straight-up honesty. No need to apologize for length of yesterday’s video. It was brilliant in its “Straight from the Heart.”
Tiff, whoever was complaining about the video yesterday needs to take a long, hard look at their general attitude!
What you did and how you did it was the only way to get across your message and frustration i.e. by video!
You recommended a product – the product support did not deliver what was promised; you tried to fix it but, initially, could not and so, via the quickest and most direct medium, video, you let not only us know what was going on, but the product owner as well. Result? Well hopefully, the product support will be put right and not occur again.
Many people in your position would have just shrugged their shoulders and murmured “nothing to do with me Guv – its not MY product.”
You didn’t and that is why I for one, (and I have only been with you a short while)am attracted to both your products and training.
We have a saying over here “don’t let the buggers grind you down” and I am sure you will not.
Just wanted to add that we are all here to be “in relationship” and to support each other. Supporting sometimes means telling each other the Hard Stuff. Thank you again.
Tiffany, Thanks for the update because I was thinking about purchasing IPK because of your recommendations. As for people complaining about the content format, don’t worry about it because you just can’t please some people. I mean it’s not like they are paying for this information you are putting out. Keep doing what you do. I like the mix of video and text (although like you I prefer to learn in text).
I’m so glad to hear that Craig is taking care of the situation. I’ve personally spoken to Craig on the phone (when I had an IPK related question, he offered to call me – from the UK)and I found him to be personable, genuine and caring.
That’s why the recent emails were so puzzling. It’s good to know the real story.
Craig, you have an amazing thing going with IPK and Network Blazer. They’re unlike anything else on the market. I would dearly love to see you concentrate on and further develop these products.
We’re pulling for ya! =)
Hi Tiffany,
You don’t have to apologize for the length of the video. You spoke from the heart and that’s how it came out. Remember, we always have the option of stopping the video at anytime
I applaud you for speaking your feelings, even though they may have negatively someone you like.
You are walking a path that comes from within, stay true to your self. However, if you believe your vids should be shorter, then edit it next time to where you feel comfortable…
Until then, keep up the great work both in your business and by being an inspiration to those who think marketing and ethics always belong in the same sentence.
Lee Ann
Bravo Tiffany! Yet again you are telling it like it is. There is far too much BS and misunderstanding on the internet, I am glad you have the balls to stand up and confront some of it.
EXcellent! You go, girl ~ and now I’ve GOTTA go grade those papers! God, this stuff is like . . . I don’t know, the novel you can’t put down, anything covered in chocolate (almost), . . arrrggghhh!
Have a most excellent day everyone!
I appreciated your video and I noticed that ninety-five percent did also. Ignore the senseless complaints. They are not worth spending energy on. They will dissolve into dust. And more and more positive uplifting messengers will be drawn and attracted to your honesty and integrity. When you live from your heart, nothing is wrong (even though some try to make it so).
TIffany,
Thank you for keeping us posted as to what is going on.
And, I really appreciate that you did it in text, which I prefer.
I find it really sad that someone would be rude about you doing videos. There can’t be much to their lives.
It is your business and your presonality to do with as you feel best.
I bought IPK per your recommendation, and am making a lot of money with it.
I never knew there was any support, so I never had any issues about it.
I though that NB thing was a bad idea from the start, so never got involved with it.
And, I get so much spam, that whatever this guy was sending just blended in, lol.
Anyway, I want to thank you for all that you do to teach us newbies how to make a living online.
If it wasn’t for you, I would probably have to get a job, so I really do mean it when I say, “Thank you!”.

I want to commend you on your honesty in your video. While I sometimes prefer text over video I found the video conveyed your message in a very courteous manner. I have been in the IM business (off & on) for about 7 years now, and you are the FIRST person in this biz that I truly believe in. I have always disliked the high pressure (Rah, Rah) type of approach, and find your approach refreshing and more believable. Offering both video and text allows us the choice in the type of format we prefer without limiting those that choose one type over another.
Keep up the good work, and have a Super Day!
ps: my sites are back up, too . . .
Dear Tiff,
I think you did the right thing yesterday and I could feel you pain. As for the length I found it to be appropriate.. I am a Newbie so I am in the dark on a lot of what is going on. But I felt you were careful in what you said and you felt a responsibility to your people. You took the high road and I could tell it was a painful one. Kudos girl keep it up. We need more people that will take a stand.
Hi Tiffany,
Good for you in giving it right back to those who complained about your video!
I don’t know what it is about the “remoteness” of the internet that allows people to act rudely when they would never act that way if they were in the same room with you.
If you don’t like the length of the video just click off the page. Does it make you feel better about yourself to leave a nasty comment?
Great to hear that Craig has replied to you Tiffany and is doing the right thing. I guess these things can happen if you leave the job to someone else, but hopefully he will sort it all out.
I just want to add that I enjoy watching your videos and that if people don’t want to watch them – then just don’t watch them! It’s not that difficult, no-one is forcing you to watch them.
I enjoy them, I love the accent and could sit and listen to you for hours. To be honest, there is not one other Internet Marketing blog that I regularly read except yours, so keep up the good work
Nice follow-up, Tiffany! Is it available as podcast? haha!
Can’t please everyone all the time.
Personally, I prefer the videos. I grab a cup of coffee and see what Tiff is up to today.
I like the vlogs. Keep up the good work.
As far as Craig, this is sad and exactly what happens when you don’t keep in touch with your customers personally. I hope he gets things turned around.
You keep in touch with everyone letting them know what you are up to–the good, the bad, the ugly. I believe this gives all of your followers the feeling of knowing you personally–at least that’s how I feel–especially with the videos.:)
Keep up the good work. We love ya Tiff!!
Thx for the update Tiff, you’re video was perfect and from the heart – I almost cried.
I’m glad you’re putting up Craig’s side of the story and that is why you should never, ever lose control over your business and rely too heavily on other people. I hope he can sort his support problems out.
Have a fab day and thx for being honest and straightforward.
May lady luck always be with you!
Cheers
Elmien
hi,
i started doing something a year ago with Ben schaffer, then got disheartened and gave up. By accident i clicked on your video yesterday and you seem really nice and normal. I was just wondering what do you do and do you have to have a lot of knowledge to actually make any money on the internet. I made nothing the last time i tried. It was only for about 8 months so do you think i didn;t give it enough time
kind regards
katie
Hi Tiff –
First and foremost I wholeheartedly condone your rant about someone’s comments to you about your video. You cannot be all things to all people but you can be and should be true to yourself. Yes the video was long (but I’ve seen some truly LOOONG ones recently and they didn’t have visible controls!); Yes you could’ve made it more succinctly (but then it would’ve been contrived not heartfelt, which is what we love you for) and your honesty came through because you didn’t edit out your dog!
I’m an IPK-er in progress. I think it’s good stuff but one thing I’ve really started to get hacked off about is the salespage. When I bought the product it was “counting down”, then suddenly the counter reset to 349 available (where it still is). His first video says that it is moving to a monthly site with regular updates on niche info “in 10 weeks” – yet it is still a “one-off” payment. I actually recommended this to my cousin with a “buy soon ‘cos it’ll be monthly shortly” and he came back to me recently saying “Oh really? No it isn’t”. Boy did I feel stupid.
Is it going to be a monthly site “in 10 weeks” (from when?) or not? Please change the first video if not, and PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE Craig, take that stupid counter off the salespage.
Beef over, thank Tiff!
Cheers!
Katie, I would encourage you to study all of Tiffany’s posts and all the free information that she has made available here. She is a tremendous source of information and is the REAL DEAL – but *you* need to dig into this site and all of her offerings. What we get out of something is most often equivalent to what we give.
Hi Tiffany,
Many thanks for the update. I did not find the video long at all. There are times in life when you need to take longer to explain something and other times you can say something quick.
The video you made needed the time you took to explain in detail what the situation was, why you did what you did, and how you were dealing with it all.
Thanks for everything
Andrew
Hi Tiff,
I think it’s great that Craig K has responded and
explained some of the problems, at least tried to explain!
About the video vs. text posting, it’s your blog and you certainly are entitled to communicate with your readers the way you prefer … being a savvy marketer you’re going to pursue the method that works with most of your readers …
As I mentioned yesterday I went through 10 of your Downloadguard Network Blazer videos and was very grateful for them … I bookmarked all of the series and went to bed confident that I would start the next morning putting up my IPK 5 sites … only to find your NB bad news video instead!
Life goes on and I’ll continue to follow your good marketing ideas and suggestions, in text or video, because I know I can trust you!
About the IPK sites, is it possible to use their methods with WP? Have you made any videos or posts about that?
Have a good day Tiff,
Fran
Tiffany,
Don’t let the dead-beats get you down. Controversy SELLS and it sells well!
By trashing your video, that woman dragged a lot of people to her plr site. It was just business for her. Don’t let it get you down. (No, I am not condoning it.)
As for your video vs text. I had disabled a script that was bogging down a few days ago and was unable to view the videos before commenting. A short summary would have been nice, but the world won’t come to an end. Can’t you tell, I haven’t been to your site since you posted it.
Anyway, my video is fixed and I was glad to here this.
I am glad to see Craig Kaye get involved again. I have seen it happen many times in the IM niche. Some marketer sells a product promising support, etc., usually for a subscription, then pulls the rich-jerk and hands it over to some flunky to manage. The customers get poor support and ultimately the reputation of the marketer is damaged.
The only real solution is for the marketer who creates and promotes the system to remain involved at least to a minimum level. It is ok to farm out the support, but the marketer needs to periodically check in personally. After all, how can you have respect for someone who makes thousands of dollars a month from customers and wont take a few minutes to check into a forum once a week?
Like any other business, your (generally speaking, not personally) business needs leadership. If the leader quits working, so will the team.
As for the affiliate emails. Craig obviously is trying to generate more income or he would not have taken on that tactic. However, if he had spent the time it took to send those emails in the forum (what forum? He needs an IPK forum) answering questions, he would have had happy customers. Then a little more time could be invested into improving his product and creating incentives for affiliate sales, then his customers would have all been working for him to raise him more money. And, they would have been happy to do so.
One short sentence resolved my problem, but I was unable to get that answer for 33 days! I can’t even measure the damage it did to my reputation within my own family.
I know Craig will read this. I hope he understands and makes it better for those in the system.
BTW, I have two people I am helping coach, stangely enough they are both ex-IPKers who were set way back because they couldn’t get answers. They are also heart broken over this.
Craig, I wish you well and hope you manage to patch your reputation back together.
Buck
Tiff,
It’s the message not the medium that counts. Thanks for all you do.
Steve
Tiff,
I also wanted to comment yesterday regarding the video hoopla, but thought it better to hold my tongue. I have been coming to your blog since early summer and it is perfectly clear that your medium is video. I am happy with that and have no problem watching. This is why I return everyday.
By the same token, I don’t go to McDonald’s and complain about the fact they serve hamburgers. I don’t go to the library and tell them they have too many books. How can someone who claims to be a follower of this blog come here and launch such an outrageous complaint??? This is your show and you run it with vlogs. If they don’t like it, they can go elsewhere.
That’s my 2 cents….
Tiff,
It’s quite a relief hearing from Craig, call me naive but he does come across on his videos as someone you might trust. Maybe it’s because he’s from the north of England, they all sound down to earth and honest up there. Yes i think you can call me naive.
One other thing Tiff, keep the dog in the video, makes for a funny double act.
Thanks Tiff And Craig for seeing to this. From my heart.
Giselle
Yes, its a relief that the sites are back up again!
I’m also relieved that YOU seemed to get through to Craig like no-one else has.
I’m crossing fingers and toes that everything will return to normal so that I can once again encourage people to take up these great products… I haven’t dared to promote anything for a long time – holding my breath and turning blue waiting, as I didn’t want to be embarrassed to be promoting them!
Well, let’s hope everything is back to normal again…
Hi Tiff
That you worry so much is a good sign of the person you are. It is your blog your business choose the media and length you are comfortable with. People of a like mind will stay with you and that’s what you want.
I too have IPK and think it is great, being experienced I hadn’t needed support. Greg sounds like he is genuinely concerned but as my Mom used to say the proof is in the pudding. It still doesn’t address all the SPAM from him. But being a patient person I, like others will wait and see.
Being from Texas myself. I’ll just say “don’t sweat it girl, it’s all good”
May a great day be yours
Barney
I hope Craig does get it going. He personally was very helpful when I 1st bought it and got started but then it fizzled to nothing. I never got the help promised on the sites. And I am still at a lost but I think he personally is a great guy and I hope it gets worked out.
Belinda
I’m glad to hear that Craig has contacted you and hopefully he will get things turned around.
I enjoy all of your videos. I don’t always listen to a video when I land on a sales page. I scan the print first and if I’m interested I will listen to the video. So I’m one of those people who like video and print. (In fact, I actually print out ebooks I really want to study.)
And Ruth, I thought about the fact that we would all be competing and decided that is not a problem. There are enough marketers out there needing fresh content daily to keep all of us in business.
Hope everyone has a great day!
I agree with many who have already left messages – just be yourself, that’s one of the reasons you have a growing number of followers. Along with your honesty, integrity, and great products!!!
You will never please all the people all the time – others have tried since the beginning of time. Actually, I get tired of reading all the text on so many sites, and I also grab a cup of coffee and watch your videos. Sometimes I even go out to YouTube and watch several if I am looking for specific information.
Thanks for getting back to us regarding Craig, he didn’t become this successful by being shady. It just seems he stepped back a little too far, and this is a lesson learned for him as well.
Keep listening to your heart as far as videos vs text, and everything else you do, and you will continue to thrive – as will the rest of us.
Take care, and have a great day!!!
Glad to hear Craig responded to you, Tiff. However, did he have anything to say at all about the constant, gross barrage of promo emails he sends each week?
No Charity but I did follow up today about these three issues – I told him people still wanted to know:
1.) Will you address the sudden onslaught of promo emails?
2.) They were promised niche updates monthly and they haven’t been updated since June or July
3.) Your ticker still promotes scarcity as if there are 300+ memberships still available and they want to know if you will update or remove that.
So we’ll see!
This is my take on the video and the video Vs. text.
Tiff, my mentor, if and when I screw up please email me and only me the video reprimand. If then i don’t come into line share your mind with the world. Warning shots are just not enough for some people, go figure. I guess a wound is better than a kill.
And for those mad about video Vs. Text, are you kidding me??
Does your computer have an off switch??
Grow up and get a life, or just choose one or the other, either would do you justice.
That is my opinion, I could be wrong!
Hi Tiff
As my good old mum would have said……you cant please all of the people all of the time…………and there is a scroll bar to fast
forward
Denise
Hi Tiffany, I have a short attention span so I think video works great! Not only can I hear you but I can see your expressions. I see that you are sincere in your words, I see your passion, and know you are a good hearted person. Please continue to make your videos since it is so much easier for me to stay focused on them. And you know what else? Make it as long as you want. For those who don’t want to watch the full length of the video, they have the power to turn it off, walk away, watch it another time, listen to the video while doing something else, etc, etc.,
Thanks again for the update on IPK. I do like the product and am still glad you recommended it and hope that Craig will learn a few things from you on developing customer satisfaction and loyalty.
Keep up the good work girl!
Nat
Hi Tiff,
I keep up with your blog which is always fantastic and informative and i am glad you took the time to shoot the video with your thoughts.
Its nice to see a straight from the heart vlog rather than the usual hypey salesy BS videos you see on so many blogs, salespages etc.
In the frankly murky IM world which i have sadly come to see it as, its so good to read your blog and watch your videos.
I too bought IPK some time ago and although its a great product, i too became very disappointed with the BS emails, videos from Craig.
I may be wrong but i am guessing he had too many JVs for the IPK relaunch and since then i am bombarded with all the crap sales emails trying get me to buy the new best thing ever.
I was planning to unsubscribe but now you have made the video and Craig has responded positively, then a corner may now have been turned.
As you say Tiff, everyone deserves a second chance so please Craig, look after your customers and stop the BS. I am glad he has done well for himself and has his ferraris lambos, partying with girls etc but to be honest i dont give a s**t! IT WONT make me buy it Craig!
Keep up the good work Tiff and thank you so much.
Craig…sort it out and keep your customers happy please.
Best wishes
Scott
I think it is a great first step for Craig to contact you. I could have taken different direction. That is something to monitor if he is committed to change and provide better customer service, etc.
As far as the text vs. video I like combination of both so your format works great for me. I am tired of not knowing who is behind products seeing you helps me connect that you are real person not some random created person.
Hi Tiffany,
about the text vs video… you are too kind for your own good giving too much attention to this type of thing…
I have photographic reading too, but I think you are doing an outstanding job positioning yourself.
Don´t leave the vlogs, they are a strong point for you, in a good way.
Words in a page can lie, eyes don´t.
Sandra
I think you did an exellent job of expressing your disappointment in someone you’d given trust.
So who doesn’t ramble. I would venture a guess the complainers don’t have any emotions to vent, but plenty of verbage to throw.
Keep doing what your doing and dropping crumbs of information we can use in our daily efforts to make a living online.
Thanks.
Hi Tiff! I just wanted to say that I loved the way you handled all this situation with Craig — you kept your integrity and actually helped him by bringing this issue to his attention.
About the videos vs. text thing… Oh boy, those people don’t have anything better to do, do they? They think doing videos is being narcissistic, but in my opinion being narcissistic is wanting to make others use the media format they prefer. Ironic, isn’t it?
Hey Tiff, I think you handled this whole situation admirably and with integrity.
I hope Craig will give you big kudos for that, because someone else could have rally bashed him and that’s it, without giving him the chance for redemption. We all deserve a second chance when we mess up. Communication communication communication.
Now the ball is in his court. What he worked hard to earn, he now will have to re-earn. I hope he does.
It’s a really good lesson for any of who outsource any part of customer service. That ‘front line’ work is absolutely critical to get it right. Definitely train your ‘culture’ and expectations into anyone you hire for that, then monitor closely to make sure they’ve got it right.
Lastly, I totally understand that some prefer video and some prefer text. I’m a reader myself generally, but your daily vids are not just info, it’s opinions and personal stuff mixed in and I thikn video is perfect for that.
BUT here’s a really good help I found. It’s called enounce.com and it lets you speed video playback up without making the voices funny. I can usually watch vids at 1.5-2X normal speed and it saves oodles of time. If I remember right, it’s free too.
Becki
Hi Tiff:
Whatever format you put out is good to me. I can read and I am not blind or deaf so I can view and hear video.
Feedback for Craig:
As far as my IPK comments. I love the IPK concept and also have a NB account. I think they are a dynamic duo but the support is dismal on all fronts.
Anyway when I signed up for each my intent on providing my email was specifically for info on those items only. My intention was not to be bombarded by relentless spam offer after spam offer. Spam is a direct abuse of that privilege and it tells me how little respect he has for his customers.
If Craig wanted to present offers to his members he should have given them the choice of opting into an entirely different choice. Due to the fact that I wanted to know what was going on with IPK and NB I had no choice but to endure the barrage of spam.
I hope Craig does the right thing and clears this up by separating his offers onto another list. On that note I would only opt in to such a list if Craig in fact actually used the product and could endorse it because of the quality of the product and results the product brings. (A good product does not require hype to promote it. It will sell itself.)
As far a IPK goes I think he needs to deliver on his promises (ie regular updates and coaching/info provided to the IPK members site).
To say I am very disappointed in the IPK product since the upgrade is an understatement. IPK has not lived up to the promises provided in the offer to upgrade.
My two cents,
Jim
I hope Craig really does listen and dumps those two idiots he has working for him. I’d offer my servies but I’m not a guru of any sort.
In the IPK training videos he come across very well and obviously Tiff recomendations having spoken to him on the phone boost that credibility.
I believe that credibility can be restored if he get on top of the issues raised and stops sending those crappy emails (just send me the party girl instead). I would love to see Craig develop more tools and training for what is already an awesome product.
As for you Tiff, you set a standard that we all could do well to follow. Just be you and those that like you the way you are will stick by and those that don’t….. well who needs them anyway.
Regards,
Adrian
LMAO Adrian!
No, I don’t have time for this. (Have any of you ever heard of deadlines? I’ve got a few and am behind.) So I’m going to keep this brief: I think a lot of Tiffany, tho once in a while disagree rather vehemently with her. Mean, nasty, vicious? Oh, come on. WHO needs to grow up? I didn’t expect Tiffany to even post it — but I can see now why she did. Rah, rah, sis boom bah. So glad Craig chose to save his career. Now I’m wondering (careful, I’m about to be “mean” again), why Tiffany didn’t raise this to him personally and privately FIRST, as someone upthread also commented, esp. since they’re friends and all? Nor do I have a PLR site.
I don’t filter out disagreeing opinions like that Patricia – and that wasn’t at ALL what upset me. It’s when I saw from someone else what you posted on your blog and it made me realize what a negative person you are. And to answer your question, I DID talk to Craig privately first. Oh, but you’d know that if you watched the video. Don’t take out your “I’m behind on all my deadlines” woes on ME – it’s not my fault you’ve got poor time management skills.
Tiffany,
Well done for putting those detractors of yours in their place. They seem to have forgotten that you are free to express yourself in whatever manner you wish on your own website. As a long-time follower, I appreciate the positive outlook you have created as much as the valuable information you are providing. So I’ll add my vote to the above: let those people take a hike…
Besides, those naysayers are certainly welcome to go and create websites of their own using whatever medium they are so passionate about, be it copywriting, video, audio, etc. Let them try and pollute other people’s lives with their negativity and see how well that works for them.
If they had more experience in the internet world, they would know how hard it is to find authority figures (much better than ‘guru’, don’t you think?) with your level of honesty and integrity. Good luck to them!
Agreed Viviane! I have NO issue with those who nicely said they prefer text. Me too! I prefer reading to watching video. BUT…her blog stated that it was all because I was narcissistic and wanted to force people to watch me. She’s just got one of those negative mindsets so whatever…she’s not on my list anymore that I know of. I deleted her.
I applaud you in bringing some human element to the IM world. If people do not want the information don’t watch it. Simple as that.
The issue I have with video are the gurus that have a 1/2 hr sales video and no way to pause or speed it up to get to the end. You do not know how long it is and most times they come across as a used car salesman. Those are the ones that I delete and most time unsubscribed from their list.
Tiff
Craig i think can be redeemed, not so sure about Patricia.
I have only just purchased PLR ATM in the last 3 days so am new here. What made me get this course was the sincerity, honesty and integrity that came across as Tiffany talked about PLRATM in her video. I watched that video twice and that was enough for me to decide to get the PLRATM.
I am a visual kind of learner, I love the videos. Videos and text go hand in hand.
I admire you Tiffany for dealing with this latest situation with Craig in the way that you have. You were very courageous and brave to share what you did about the situation. Thank you.
I liked Craig’s response to it all. Hopefully he will make the positive changes that people have been hoping for.
George
I appreciate all you have done for the affiliates and love the videos. Don’t let distractors upset you. methinks jealously is rearing its ugly head.
Barbara
Hi Tiff,
Until a few days ago I’d never heard of you, Craig, IPK, NB … this is a whole new world to me.
But I’m a writer and teacher of all kinds of self help stuff, and your PLR ATM is an absolute godsend to me … I can’t thank you enough for that alone! (But I’ll try).
Now I jump onto your mailing list and I find all of this stuff, and then people complaining about the media you use … and I want to say this:
You are a rare gem. Your marketing is honest and from the heart, and your product over-delivers on everything you say it will, and frankly I wouldn’t have cared if you’d carved it in the rock as long as I could get at it!
I am sick to death of hype, (as I know a lot of people are saying on Warrior Forum too), and here at last is a real person, walking her talk and living her life who’s taken the trouble to share in a way that really won’t date how to make a real living on the wacky wild web – and I love you for that.
No whistles or trumpets or bells, (well, okay, I know you had a big launch, but who doesn’t throw a party when they finish a project?) and without question one of the most – if not THE most inspiring and useful and complete tools I’ve ever got – EVER – (I mean, I did a writer’s course 25 years ago – paid a fortune for it – and it wasn’t half as useful as yours).
I’m sorry you’ve had some upsetting times with this man who is obviously a friend. Rant about it however you like, Tiff. I’ll make space for you in my day because I think you deliver a lot of love in what you do and you deserve love and respect in return.
Probably still haven’t thanked you enough, but I hope it helps!
All good things,
Trevor.
That was so sweet Trevor! All of you have been so sweet to me. The fact that you know this was hard on me and made time to listen – all of you – I appreciate that. I’m about to mail out a neat freebie too to show my thanks!
Hi Tiff,
Looks like you won’t have to ask “text vs. video” as a question on Sunday
I like having the choice. Sometimes I’ll check your blog and skim to see what you are up to. It’s great to have the video when you show us steps you have taken.
I admire you for your honesty and integrity and the way you treat your customers.
Pat
Tiffany, What, for you, is the bottom line, re: IPK for a newbie at this point? Would you still recommend it, irrespective of all these side issues? I was all set to buy it till your post yesterday appeared… now you’re saying apparently Craig is trying to straighten the ship, so I’m still open to purchasing it… So would you still recommend IPK to newbies at this point? Is it a good product? thanks very much!
Eric if you’re capable of taking it and doing it on your own, go for it. If you’re going to need hand holding, wait. It IS a good product but until support is measured out, I’d wait.
Greetings Tiffany!
My belief in this whole matter is this. You do what you believe that will help us if you want to write it you go and write it out if you want to do video well then you go and do video.
If it was not for you teaching the way you do then there will be a whole lot of people who would not be able to be enriched by your great teachings.
I like it both ways written and the video.
We have got to read more these days to make our brains more stronger.
Make it a great day!!!!
Edward
I, like everyone else, subscribe to lots of lists, yours being one of them, although I usually click on yours to actually read it. I watched your ipk video with sadness and disappointment. I LOVE ipk. I was hesitant to buy it the first time around as I, too, am a cheapskate! But Craig’s video and “last chance” offer and reputation and sincerity and “going to a monthly fee” won me over. I didn’t want to miss out on the best thing around. And in spite of everything I still think it’s the best thing around if you can FOCUS and follow the steps. Kind of like the “second coming” of IM. Anyway, I couldn’t wait for part 2 of your video to see if Craig answered your challenge. I still had naive faith in him. Call me stupid I really believe he is the real deal and cares about his IPK “baby” and, therefore, his customers. That’s how he comes across to me anyway. After I bought ipk I sent a question to his support and kept making excuses for why it wasn’t answered (again, I love this guy)and kept checking everyday. I also go to the site and look for the “hot niche” updates. But, alas, only one from july. So I anxiously read your “part 2″ and maybe my misplaced faith in Craig is not so misplaced. I’m sure ipk is a bear to run and when something is that big you have to count on other people to help you. Craig just chose the wrong people or maybe there’s just not enough of them to help run the business. Benefit of the doubt. If Craig answered you he still cares and, hopefully, he will get back to the basics, drop promoting all the other crap and honor the promise he made about monthly updates and “More great things in the future”. Craig I’m still in your corner. You have a GREAT program, come back to your roots and be the standup guy you appear to be in your videos.
And Tif, as for the thing about video vs text, it’s your blog and you can’t please everyone. Thanks for being real. I enjoy reading, watching listening to you. I believe what you say, it’s from the heart. I’m a flight attendant and I feel that if I were in Texas, and I came knocking on your door you’d invite me in for a cup of coffee.
Daisy
Sure would Daisy! LOL But don’t do that – I’m a slob and never fit for company. But I’d meet you here for sure! LOL! What airline do you work for? I have a friend who works for SouthWest as a flight attendant…
Yesterday I made a 6-hour road trip, so I’d put your recent interview with Craig Desorcy on CD so I could play in the car.
In view of the events regarding IPK, NB and Craig Kaye, perhaps that interview could be available again, for a brief time. It is a fantastic item.
It also might help people identify that these are two different people, not to mention a valuable repeat of the philosophy behind your high standards.
I hope that Craig Kaye can sort out his customer service and product snafus. I have had a couple of difficult customer service items with other providers this year.
These experiences make me think that there is a common presumption that a *process* for receiving customer emails gets equated with providing the *substance* of customer service. Not true!
Seems there is a need for education among front line customer service staff about what they should be doing. Done right, it’s as much a marketing opportunity as an IT fix scenario.
Some of the people I’ve dealt with this year actually made up answers when they didn’t know, or stonewalled me to try and make me go away. Both tell me there are poor evaluation standards for the effectiveness of customer service operations, and training needs going unmet.
Craig Kaye might feel better to know that some rather large organizations have also tripped over this, and might be surprised to know their names.
Relatedly…in your interview with Craig Desorcy, you mentioned handling PayPal so they wouldn’t shut your account down during a launch (sudden influx of funds). Could you comment on that at an appropriate time? Handling PayPal could be another class unto itself….
Thanks for all you do!
Sure Sally! it’s available here: http://www.wehelpnewbies.com/thanks
Hi Tiffany;
I am so glad that Craig has responded in a positive manner. All but my new site that is still under construction are back and working. Because his past customer service has been so great I hope we will all see him return to that level.
I am grateful that you shook the tree and got some action that none of the rest of us was able to do. I truly do not understand the naysayers comments here. They do not add to the problem that many have been experiencing.
As for video or text I like both if a lesson is being taught. I find the text reinforces the spoken words and the video gives an illustration of the lesson. Further more for something like yesterday’s video if someone does not wish to take the time to view it they can always listen while doing something else. It makes no sense to trash someone who is trying to help others.
Don’t pay any attention to these negative comments.
Pat
Hi Tiffany
How could anybody complain about your videos – especially the one you did yesterday – there is no way, despite the fact that you write so well, that the emotion and the honesty you put into doing that really hard thing could have been conveyed as well by text. I prefer to learn by text as well, but I like to get to know the people I deal with via video. If somebody complains about it then they should just click off the page and forget about it – commenting and being rude just isn’t necessary.
Keep being who you are Tiff, because you are great
Lisa
Hey everyone just a quick FYI – Patricia sent me a lovely email and made up for what we got into before. I forgive and forget and we all should
Thanks!
tiff
Tiffany,
I don’t think anyone can be called narcissistic when they let their little pooch steal the show half the time!
If Craig ( Kaye ) is aware of the situation maybe that’s half of the solution already and maybe he can come up with another quality product ( of his own ) and offer this his IPK members for free. In fact this could turn him into a real winner again , respected and liked as a marketer. I would like to encourage him to think about this for a second. And on another note , the problem is not merely restricted to marketers from the UK – it so happens that a lot of UK marketers have come to the IM scene lately – but I ‘m sure anyone of us can think of other people with questionable marketing ethics of all sorts of places and nationalities !
Thanks, Tiff.
I have bought several products though your links including IPK. When I purchased IPK, Phase 1 there were a couple of questions I had that were answered directly by Craig in a professional & conscise manner. I am not trying to defend him but maybe he needs to ‘get back on the tools himself’ once again?
As for you Tiff, every support question you have ever answered for me has been fast, direct and helpful. Online marketing is a great business but there is so much overwhelming information out there which makes it very confusing, especially for newstarters.
It is very satifying from a customer viewpoint that they receive good support.
PS: Any form of teaching, be it video or text is effective as long as it is informative.
You are a great teacher!
Cheers
First I just want to thank Craig for his IPK product, It works. As far as the emails from him, I either don’t get them or unsubscribed after the first one or two. I don’t remember any, but then again if I read, see or hear a car, house or boat in any promo I hit the delete or back button.
I check the Ipk members area for updates and besides the initial July hot niches offering, there was 3 Tiffany Dow Bonus Videos put up in August.
So with that being said I hope Craig follows through with what his sales page promised.
Second, you just have to love detractors. Look at how many people have responded with comments in the last 2 days. Google likes active sites, so I say thank the two moron detractors for the boost.
Now I’m a little upset this post doesn’t have video, cuz I wont be able to play Count von Count and count all your nose twitches. One-one Tiffany Dow nose twitch, A-HAHAHAHAHAHA, two-two Tiffany Dow nose twitches, A-HAHAHAHAHA.
Luv ya Tiff.
Lmao count dale! luckily for you i dID do a vlog today.
Hey Tiff,
I am glad to hear Craig has responded to all of this and is taking matters to have it resolved, that is really great news! Hopefully, he follows through with it.
As for what format you choose to post here on your blog, be it video or text, I couldn’t say it any better then this:
“Do what you feel in your heart to be right. You’ll be criticized anyway.”
~Eleanor Roosevelt~
I think you’ll benefit from search engines when you add text, but I like both formats. Don’t need to change your ways for me. That Bewitched twitch just bugs you, not the rest of us.
Perhaps the solution to all of the promotional emails from Craig would be for him to create a second list strictly for those types of emails. Then, we could decide to stay or go from that list and not lose updates and info on IPK. I think everyone (including me) is frustrated because we signed up for IPK – not daily sales letters.
Micki
Hi Tiff,
Trying to please everyone is a surefire recipe for failure.
Continue to be true to yourself and you will continue to have your loyal followers.
Try to just ignore the “meanies”.
Thanks for your ideas.
Have a great weekend.
Changis
Hi Tiffany,
While I normally dislike video (I normally prefer text as well), I absolutely love yours. I guess it is because you are yourself and seem to genuinely want to help people.
Your videos are often funny and quirky, which makes them stand out in a sea of video product pitches. Even when some other marketers make ‘helpful’ videos, they just don’t seem sincere.
Your sincerity comes across in your videos. I find myself visiting your blog daily, because I like seeing how a REAL person is making a living online.
When it comes to your blog/site, I enjoy both the videos and text you post.
you are a great example for all of us tiff.
no need to tell you to keep on rollin’
cheers
johnny
Hi Tiffany
I am a complete newbie so I will put $0.02 in the box but with caution.
Firstly being new on the web and the whole affiliate scene I have to say I have encountered your name many sites but I have not seen anything bad so you must know what is going on and clearly well respected.
Your video was 100% on the money, some of the things you mentioned was becoming a concern to me as well as I am also a member of IPK. I got plenty of emails and I could not help wonder why Craig dont promote his own product and my honest thought were, this must be one of those gurus everyone referes to.
Regards to Adrian, I rest my case there as his response is slow and not very helpfull, they should fire him. I was about to go and buy the new blazer program but due to your video we have to make another plan.
Keep it up and thank you for being a great inspiration.
Cheers
Markus
Tiff,
You did a stand up job telling us how you felt about this on your video. I enjoyed your honesty and your commitment to your readers. I hope I do equally well.
Don’t sweat people getting mad at you over small stuff. Do what you need to do and forget the small picky stuff.
Your integrity matters to me as one of your readers so please NEVER change being a straight shooter.
Keep doing what you have been doing and know I support you 100% cuz You Rock Warrior Girl!
As a college instructor, I have researched and learned that there are three major learning styles and multiple variations of those styles. Visual, auditory, and kinesthetic learning styles need to be addressed differently. By giving video, you are addressing the visual and auditory styles. In an online environment, the kinesthetic, or hands on, teaching is very difficult to do. Some people won’t be happy with the way you teach, because it doesn’t meet their individual learning styles. You can’t change that. Ignore those who leave ugly comments and keep on giving those of us who appreciate your efforts the support and help we need to make Internet marketing feasible for us.
Thanks for all you do for us!
