Geoff Shaw Kindling Course – Final Review
Hi everyone! Geoff Shaw, the creator of the Kindling course, continues growing his membership. I honestly don’t see it as something that will ever truly end, so I’ll end the review now based on what I have gone through (all of it to date) and whenever I see something else, I can let y’all know about it here.
I wasn’t sure I’d like…
…A membership at all. I usually don’t. I want a product, steps and be done with it. But I LOVE this one. More than Chris Farrell’s, more than BTF – none of them even begin to compare one iota to Geoff’s way of doing things.
…Video lessons. GOD I hate video. The other Kindle course I bought would have 20-40+ minutes of video (with coffee slurps) and no thanks. I wound up loving that Geoff did short burst videos. Usually 2-3 minutes and some maybe 5 minutes. Nothing freaky. Nothing I couldn’t handle. And SO well done.
No slurps, no throat clearing. He has a great voice, a fun attitude (little honey badger I like in him). All stuff I looked forward to. And rightly paced. Pacing is important to me. If they rush, I get annoyed. If they drag stuff out, I get annoyed. Geoff hit the sweet spot every time.
Things I absolutely loved…
I loved that he covers something for everyone. Fiction, Non Fiction, writers, non writers. You name it, this course covers it.
I love that Geoff listens. Not just to ME because of the review or anything – tons of you have said he listens, he replies and he acts whenever you contact him, too. THAT is a great marketer – because one of the biggest complaints is how gurus ignore you.
I love that he isn’t lying about scarcity or what he’s going to do. He started out charging much less for the membership. It HAD less. He warned the price would go up as he added more. It DID go up as he added more, rightly so. I HATE trickery in sales copy about how you MUST buy TODAY or the price could go up at midnight. What a crock!
I love that he kicks your ass. Really, there’s no other way to say it. You have excuses? Geoff won’t take them, sorry. He’s going to tell you to get over it and get it done. And most people need that.
I love that he updates it all the time. Today I logged in and there’s a non US income page, explaining earnings around the world. Good information. When people start freaking out about number of reviews (I see this already – people are saying, “Well you have a list.” I’m getting reviews now from people I don’t know at all), Geoff does a video answering that concern.
I love that when he says to use something, like Facebook, he says “Facebook isn’t hard – product sellers might make you think it’s hard, but it isn’t.” That is so true! If someone’s selling a product on FB, they’re going to hype up the difficulty to make you feel overwhelmed and feel like you NEED their guidance, right?
Geoff simplifies everything in Kindling.
I love that he is one of the rare IM beasts who doesn’t shove products down our throats. I think I heard mention of 2 total – not anything to specifically further the business, just stuff the uses that he likes. I bought one, ignored the other.
Was there anything I didn’t like?
There were 1-2 small “eh” moments of stuff that was preferential in nature. Like co-authoring my pen names together. Just a preference of not wanting to do that strategy.
Final Decision?
Best freaking Internet marketing product I ever bought in my life. Good for all marketers. If you’re looking into info product creation, then you need to include Kindle, not just minisites. And Geoff’s membership actually has good insight even for people who have no plans to do Kindle, seriously. But why you’d do that I have no clue.
I am amazed at this product. I’m amazed at the man behind the product. I’m thrilled that everyone is glowing about it as much as I am. I’m annoyed with myself for not getting it sooner whenever you guys first told me it was great.
But I’m there now. I’m happy. I’m in awe. I will tell people if they buy just one product, make it this one. I’ll sleep very well at night knowing people are in good hands.
Kindling is supreme.
What happens now with my Kindle story?
Now I implement what he’s taught me more, and continue seeking out methods I like from others. Geoff’s not an encyclopedia of all things Kindle. There are other ways of doing things. I’ll check those out. I’ll make up my own! I’ll keep track of what I like to do and share it with y’all along the way. I LOVE that there’s so much for me to learn. Makes my day exciting.

Is there an updated PDF with all parts of the review?
Yep complete link is on here: http://www.warriorforum.com/warrior-special-offers-forum/633076-free-warrior-special-offer-tiffany-dow-s-review-companion-guide-geoff-shaw-s-kindling-course.html
Thanks again for introducing us to Geoff. Been writing and not going there as often. Better get back there!! LOL
Yep stay logged in once in awhile. Good updates
Thanks Tiff for the review. You made a great recommendation and followed up enough to remind me how much I needed this course. You are one of the very few that I always look forward to reading what you have to say… And honey you say a lot! LOL! Thanks again! You rock!
LOL thanks Charles!
Tiff,
I’m doing the course too. Bought via your link. I’ve enjoyed your narration.
I agree wholeheartedly. It’s been the course I need as I was already going the Kindle direction. Geoff is a breath of fresh air. He’s so direct and to the point. That’s my style.
I don’t always comment but I read your daily emails. I look forward to them.
Like you, I feel my life changing through fiction. I’ve been a writer since I was a kid. Now, I can have the career I want.
And you were a big encouragement there, as you always are!
Debbie
Thanks Debbie – that feels good!
I have been a “Tiffer” for a number of years, and I always love your straight to the point approach to your list. I was following your reviews, and I thought that I need to get this course. I bought it through your link, and after downloading it…it looked really familiar. Dumb me, I already had the course and had not really opened it up and started it. I email Geoff with hat in hand explained just how I goofed up, and in all the years that I have been doing IM…I asked for a REFUND. He refunded my course costs with in 3 hours, stated he understood, and everything was OK. Am I am impressed????…you bet! I have three new kindle SB hitting by the end of the month, and I am making a few dollars each month with the other books I published months ago, after refreshing them with Geoff information. Thanks for being who you are…I like a little kick butt in my friends attitude. Keeps all of us honest!
Glad the review got you to get the most of your purchase – definitely worth it!
Hi Tiffany!
I, too, bought the product as a result of your review. My husband and I have been working through it together and I just published my first $0.99 cent book! Still a lot of the course to go through, but if it’s anything like what we’ve seen already, then WOW!
Thanks so much,
Deborah
yea!
Hi Tiffany
This was one of the more expensive products I have bought as we don’t have an income that allows me to just buy anything and everything that I would like too – but I have to agree with you that this course is amazing; there really is something for everyone and your review of it went a long way towards making the decision to buy it.
Thank you so much
Lisa
I agree Lisa. It’s the one I’ll ask people to splurge on.
Tiffany –
I also bought based on your review. You were so excited about it and I knew it would be good.
My coach had talked me into getting books on kindle, but I wanted them to do well instead of just be there. This course has allowed me to do that.
I am on my second NF book, and I started a fiction series based on my experiences during high school and college. In my church, they did a series on “My Story” and that is what started me thinking about what to write.
I have been reviewing kindling as well on my blog, and I am going to keep up with the site too! Reviewing it is the thing that kept me going when I was just tired of doing one more thing.
Thanks for the inspiration. You never mentioned how it can affect your reputation, but I am part of your branding series – and that was the reason I started doing kindle – to build my brand. Just a thought. It can really make you an expert in your area of non-fiction!
Mathea I’m so happy for you! Yes I have it listed in there too for upcoming issues – great minds think alike!
I’m so jazzed! Thanks for introducing me to Geoff Shaw’s Kindling course. It far surpassed my expectations and is definitely the best online course/membership I’ve ever purchased.
Meeeee too Sherrie!
Tiffany
Like many others above I have jumped in with Geoff and am most impressed. Almost too much to absorb but time will make it work.
And believe it or not I had the makings of a small NF book that I started 12 months ago sitting on my hard drive. Geoff has pushed me over the line and it is now awaiting approval in KDP.
He has to be one of the best finds I have ever had (apart from you of course
) on this long search for an internet income.
No more backlinking, article submission and websites to build, maintain and pay for.
Thanks for tipping us all about Geoff and his impeccable credentials
Yep just do one section at a time and it’s fascinating. Isn’t that a relief – none of that other crap?
Great review Tiffany! Even though I don’t have the product(yet) I still got tons information just reading your review. I am interested in the results of your $50 ad investment. Did you see any increased sales?
I also echo Ian’s sentiment. One of the reason’s I haven’t built a blog based income is that I don’t want to spend 6 mos working on a project only to see that it doesn’t make money. To me this seems like a great way to test a market before building a blog or other larger project to fully monetize a market. And I get to make some money as well. Sold!
On that particular ad, which wasn’t anything learned or recommended in Kindling, just fyi, I don’t think it mattered much BECAUSE of where I advertised and WHAT I advertised. Keep in mind vegetarianism is for about 1-2% of the population. Not a real big powerhouse topic ya know? LOL! Most of the books advertised on that site are FICTION, too.
But I plan to advertise on a vegetarian site or a meatless mondays site. Have to research it.
I just bought the program thru your affiliate link. Now waiting for my link so I can get started. For me even making $500 to $1000 per month would make a huge difference. Can’t wait to get started
Glad you’re onboard Tom! Sounds very doable.
Thanks for the great and thorough review!!! I am considering this down the road, once I get more of my other writing projects off the plate!
You won’t regret it Julie!
Good review Tiffany. I agree. I grabbed his membership when he first offered it and stopped spending my money on other courses. This guy is the real deal. Bottom line is if you are selling on Amazon you need his course.
Btw – Your stuff is excellent as well.
I’m going to review Paul Coleman’s next
Wow, I feel sheepish. I thought I was educated with all the sales page tricks and the one you mentioned went right by me somehow. I didn’t know that sales pages make you think certain things are harder to do than they really are in order to sell the product. Thanks for openings my eyes to that so I will be less gullible in the future.
Yep just a way of making you think you need it – they know you’re scared to dabble on your own.
Hi Tiff.
I have a question that maybe you could help with:
Since just recently getting the Kindling course I keep referring back to your review to help navigate. It really does need some sort of step 1 step 2 kind of layout for newbies….
Having said that.. I was wondering if you knew exactly which part of the course talked about how to research a topic for your book? Since I just finished my last one (thanks to you) I am starting my next and I really cant find which tab was the research tab.
If it is still fresh in your mind would you be so kind as to tell me which sections I should refer to that handle the researching and making sure it is a hot topic?
Thank you so much for all the inspiration you have provides thus far.
It should be the Non Fiction section, where it says summary books and then content. I think
Looks like I never read or commented on this post, but now that I’ve been in the Kindling area and am learning a ton (just finished first draft of my book), I wanted to thank you for your review and the added information you provide.
I never would be where I am with a newly created Kindle book without your encouragement and 30-day challenge.
Just like Coach said, I’m going back to your original reviews and that helps me understand more clearly what Goeff is talking about and how you do or do not apply what he teaches.
Thanks for everything!!!
Thank you Edie!
I’ve just bought kindling and going to dive into all the material and see where it takes me from here.
Enjoy Gerard! I sure loved it
Hi there,
I just stumbled into this world of Kindle publishing a few days ago. I had received an email about another program by Ryan Deiss. When I looked into it, I found far more rave reviews for Geoff Shaw’s program… which, in a roundabout way, led me here to your blog!
I’m just curious about something. In the Ryan Deiss sales video, he talks about charging $2.99 per book and keeping approx. $2 of that. Having NO experience with Kindle publishing at all, I’m wondering what type of income “relatively successful” folks are making doing this? I know the answer can vary widely, but what has been your experience so far? I’ve got approx. 20 different reports and min-books that could be tweaked pretty quickly for this… just wondering what I should be expecting…
Thanks for your super-informative review, and thanks for any help you can offer!
Colleen
Not sure Colleen! I know my first check was about $396 from a $0.99 and a $2.99 book. I have a friend who makes about $3,000 a month from her short series non fiction – that’s what I need to build to
Awesome! That’s a great start for me to go on! Thanks for getting back to me so quickly, by the way.
I’m going to order Geoff’s program this morning and see where it goes from there.
Sounds like I’ll need to use your “translation”, too! I appreciate it in advance! lol!
I doubt this will be the last time I pick your brain… how you don’t mind being picked! : )
Thanks again!
Nope I don’t mind!
(See?! Here I am, back already!… sorry!)
If you don’t mind me asking, what are your two books you made reference to? And, who’s your friend with the series of short stories… or what are her books? (not sure the “right” protocol here!)
Thanks!
Colleen
Not sure what reference I made to two books – remind me and I’ll let you know
Paula is my friend: http://www.amazon.com/P.-Seymour/e/B007JTMUV2
Ha! You had mentioned the amount of your first check and how it was for two books, priced at $0.99 and $2.99. (Or, maybe I completely misunderstood that…)
I’ll check out Paula’s stuff, too, just to get a sense of the possibilities!
Thanks again, Tiffany. : )
Colleen
Oh okay! Yes I think I was talking about Becoming a Vegetarian Against Your Will and The Feast. LOL Sorry I was scatterbrained!
