Here’s What’s Wrong With Affiliate Marketers

This is the NO B.S. Zone!

I promoted IPK to my very tiny list(because you “told” me to) and the conversion is running about 7%.

I sent out only 1 email about it to my list and of course it was my own personal recommendation.

    First – I didn’t bombard – just 1 email.

Second – I’ve used this product and love it. I’ve shown results on my blog.

Third – My email was personal and sort of a “heads up” about IPK “re-launch”.

Go figure – I guess it really is B.S. and I’m totally ticked off!

    N-O-T!!

Glad your back in the saddle Tiff… We all worry about you. I got a call yesterday from my son from the hospital. You can just imagine the panic. Just a few torn ligaments and a sprain.

    Kids…. geesh.

BTW – I’m thinking about a shower curtain site for myself – you know which one I mean. :0)

    • Tiffany says:

      Hey Debra!

Go for it on that shower curtain site! Bet you do well. I just sold a couple more curtains last night in fact. Hope your son is okay too! Wreck?

  • Debra Conrad says:

No Wreck – thank goodness. I’ve had that call a few years ago – in fact I’ve had that call twice. One about each of my son’s.

First you are scared out of your mind with worry… then you are “what were you thinking” mode.

Then – it’s the “how will we get this all fixed” mode.

Nope – this time it was a basketball accident. He is 30 and was playing with his kid step-brother who is 15. Maybe he is getting tooo old for this s#*t.

Oh – the mode I’m in right now? He is reporting for his new duty in Italy in two weeks… on crutches. GREAT first impression. LOL

I’ll keep you posted on the shower curtain situation. Really – it’s not to prove you wrong. Honest – (said with a bit of devilish grin).

    • Tiffany says:

Thank goodness it was basketball and not a wreck. The wreck brings with it so much anxiety over insurance rates, repair/replacement issues, etc. You may be right about that shower curtain! I’ve sold more curtains this week – not the daisy one either.

Hey Tiff.Been a while since i commented here but I wanted to thank you for your email about IPK. I vaguely remembered it was relaunching and had assumed it would be for the same price. I about choked when I saw what he was charging, KA-CHING! I’ve never ordered anything so fast before. Why? Because you being a true affiliate had already pre-sold me over the last year by documenting how the program worked for you.
Before I couldn’t make my right hand obey me and get out the credit card, yesterday, my right hand slapped my face and said GET IT NOW!
Going thru the material now and it’s an eye opener, the guy makes sense and for me he’s easy to understand, he lives about 75 miles from where I was born and raised.

Anyway, I’m all jacked up about this program and starting to get all sorts of ideas. So thanx again Tiff.

    wooty woot!

Remember my comment yesterday thanking you for giving me the inspiration to get my site to #2 though scroogle disagreed?

Today I checked google and scroogle and it’s #1 !!!

We’ll see if it starts to see increased traffic in the coming days. I might tweak my meta tag for the title to make it more enticing now :)

  • Isobel says:

Glad you’re feeling better Tiff – and that you managed to sort out that horrific “bangs” issue! lol

I’ve been in IPK since it first started and generally I think Craig is a down-to-earth, honest guy – but he’s done a couple of things recently that made me go “hmmm ….”

One was that promotion, last weekend I think, where the video was only going to be up for 1 hour 17 mins (huh???) and he was pushing this amazing software that “had to be restricted” because it was “so powerful” and all this BS .. and it turned out to be Mass Article Control, which is at least a year old!

Then this whole deal about “only selling 349 copies” of IPK … WHY?? What’s so magic about 349 (apart from being a prime number)? This is a digital product, FGS – there IS no scarcity! We all know that marketers NEVER stick to things like that anyway, every single launch that “closes its doors” manages to open them again a few days later. Funny how that happens …

I wish they would get it through their thick heads: I bought IPK2010 IN SPITE OF the stupid scarcity tactic, not because of it. I bought it because it’s a great product and the launch price is amazing. He didn’t NEED to play those stupid games.

    Sorry, rant over :)

    • Tiffany says:

LOL Isobel I was careful about my bangs this time – tucked them in no less than 10 times. Re: Craig’s promotions. I don’t even follow them. He does the typical marketing promotions as an affiliate – but his own stuff is superb in my opinion. I don’t like scarcity either, unless it’s truly warranted. I hear ya though – felt the same eye roll come over me. I just love his product, so if he wants to do the other stuff his way – I can’t change that :) I think he’s a good guy though, in heart – I know he is – he’s always been so nice to me and my customers.

Wow!! I’ve been so busy with my “real job” that I haven’t had much time to check in here – looks like all heck broke loose!! My condolences on your aunt’s passing – I hope that you and your family are doing OK.

I’m glad to see things are bouncing back for you – and I guess this would be as good a time as any to add to that… so, as soon as I hit Submit here, I’m going to go click on your BTF banner and sign up over there!! (and I’ll be doing the Full Disclosure join too) It’s about time – I’m ready to finally jump in and get things moving with IM. Although I’m sure that balancing the “real job” and the IM stuff is going to make the next several months very ‘interesting’. LOL

Take care – and again, thanks for all you do for this community! I’ll see ya on the inside of BTF! :)

    • Tiffany says:

Thanks Pogul :) I’m feeling much better now that I’m plowing through my ghostwriting. I just needed to have everything organized and off my plate. Enjoy BTF – I know you’ll love it!

  • Terri says:

My heartfelt condolences to you on your Aunts passing. I am from a large eastern family that is spread all over the US (originally 14 aunts and uncles) and have also been losing family members I had been close too.

I have been marketing online for several years now and signed up to your email list a few months ago. You are absolutely wonderful and I read every email! I had been on many lists just to keep up with ‘what’s going on’ but am hitting the unsubscribe button more and more often. As a part time IM I am soooo guilty of sending those copy and paste emails. I know they suck! but time alway seems to be my enemy (full time job and a huge family complete with 2 very active grandkids)

I really appreciate your sincerity and honesty. I promoted IPK but haven’t been in the members area since I first heard about it several years ago. Shame on me. Your results have once again renewed my interest and when I get a minute to myself, I’ll be going full throttle once again.

Thanks Tiffany, for keeping it real.
