How Do You Use Google Plus?
Someone mentioned in a comment that were confused about Google Plus so I thought I’d log in and show you around for less than 15 minutes. If you have any questions, let me know – and find me on G+ and circle me and I’ll circle you back!
Enjoy!
Tiff

Hello Tiff,
Thanks for that. Just what I needed.
BTW I watch your videos in France and in Firefox with no problems so far.
Angel cuddles,
Sarah
lol Well France and Firefox eliminate my 2 theories!
Thanks Tiff,
Video worked fine here on Firefox. Haven’t thought too much about Google +, but will check it out now after your suggestion.
Thanks
Find me there Jim!
Hi Tiffany,
Thanks for the overview.
BTW – the video works just fine – I’m using Firefox.
Maartin
Thanks Maartin! Theory dissolved lol
No I didn’t mind Tiff
I love the interaction on Google Plus – it seems we all have great conversations there. Hope more people who see this will join.
Yes it’s less businessey.
I use Firefox. The sound comes thru fine. However, the video doesn’t match the talking so what I see is your head bobbing around making all kinds of weird expressions while you talk. haha
LOL!! Bobblehead Tiff
Hi Tiffany!
The video works perfectly in North Carolina using Firefox.
LOL Okay you non-see-ers…looks like you need updates on something then!
I’m running Firefox 3.6.22 and I live in Israel – and I see your videos fine!
Maybe the ones having problems are using Firefox 4 or later? How about that for a theory?
Israel! How neat! Just love the global community
I was never that interested in Facebook but this looks quite fresh. I think you may have tempted me to sign up!…:-) I’ll come and join in once I’ve got some work done over the next couple of days!
it’s not facebook lol
lol I can see how my comment made it sound like I thought that your tutorial was on Facebook…:-) What I meant was that I wasn’t interested in Facebook but that G+ looks a lot better. I need to make sure my comments make sense before I post them! haha
LOL oh okay!
I need to get more involved in Google Plus – I’ve dabbled with it, and go on from time to time, but never seem to do much there. Thanks for the tutorial Tiff!
(Your vids in Firefox work perfect for me too)
thanks Kelli!
video is perfect in UK using firefox. But I doubt that I’ll join Gplus – I’m kinda allergic to sites that demand demographic info.
Darn is Alex! Come to the dark side my friend. lol
Hey, Tiff.
Vid is fine in FF5.x
Thanks for the tour of G+.
Benjamin
You’re welcome Benjamin!
Ahh shux! I am on my mobile and your vimeo isnt mobile friendly
Will watch when I’m home
Toki
Drat Toki!
Tiffany,
Great tutorial, thank you.
I’m not a Facebook fan and I am really liking G+. I have set up my profile like others use FB. It was nice to hear you say that you’re liking G+ too.
One thing with G+ is the URL, you can’t exactly verbally tell someone how to locate you.
According to Mashable,
“The reason Google+ doesn’t use vanity URLs is because those could lead to spammers figuring out the email addresses of millions of Google+ users (since many Google Accounts are linked to Gmail accounts).”
However, in case you’re interested you can get a G+ vanity URL at http://gplus.to/. You just enter your name and G+ URL and done.
Thanks again – Theresa
PS: Your videos are goo on Safari.
FB pisses me off now with their changes. I don’t mind layout changes but privacy is all screwed up now.
Yea, the privacy thing is what makes me nervous too. You REALLY have to stay on top of it and who has time!?!
In addition, their apps are so challenging. I’m a “Mac”, so if it’s not obvious how to get it going – I move along (I don’t like to read instructions.)
From comments I’ve seen more and more people aren’t FB fans like they used to be.
Anywhoo, go Google+!!
I’m in the process of taking all my pics off after a friend of mine had his 6 yr old girls pics on there and some friend of a friend who could now see comments and threads starting saying he wanted to molest his daughters. Sickos!!
See, that needs to be monitored! Your policy about not showing your kids, should be standard for parents WHO CARE about their children’s safety.
Too much is out there and you can’t “un-ring the bell”. A lot of people think that they are famous because they’re on the Internet and they don’t stop to think of the consequences of the exposure.
PS: I just joined WF (trying to figure out the system) and I will probably become a War Room Member too – just saw your 12.20.08 post re getting “behind the velvet rope”.
Another helpful feature is saving your searches as Sparks. Click in the box at the top centre, where it says “Search Google +”
Type a word or phrase, and press Enter
Then, at the top, click “Save this search”
At the left of the screen, that search term appears in a list, with a magnifying glass beside it.
Click that item occasionally, to see the latest search results. Great for tracking business topics of interest.
ah neat!
Hi Tiff,
Thanks for the tutorial, I am using Safari as my browser & the video played perfect. Keep up the good work & thanks for all that you do!!
Awesome thank you!
Also fed up of Facebbok. I need to get into G+, We did friend each other a couple of weeks ago Tiff. Need more friends now. I’ll use some of your tips and get me some
Sounds good Jean – I friend people on other people’s comments and it grows like that too
Hi Tiff. I can see it just fine using IE.
thanks Ron!
Great Video on Google +. I think this will be of great benefit to everyone who uses Google +. As always, Tiffany, you always come up with helpful and informative info for your followers.
thanks Sam!
Hi Tiffany,
As we both know I was the one that was confused about Google+ but if I watch this a couple more times I might just have an idea of what I’m supposed to be doing, thank you so much,
Never really liked FB it was always so brash and gave me a creepy feeling so never did anything with it and then of course they started the eternal changes thing so it’s weird as far as I’m concerned.
As ever I appreciate the time you give so freely to help those little lost sheep in your “family” even black ones like me.
I can’t believe people would be so stupid as to put their kids pictures on any social media outlet nut then I live in the dark ages as I can’t understand parents mostly MOTHERS who dress their litle girls is sexually explicit clothing turning them into adults before they’ve had a chance to be little children. I’m sooo old fashioned I guess.
Hope it helps Maureen!
I’ve been out there a couple of times, but just familiar enough with Google+ to feel comfortable. I like FB for all the family, friends, former co-workers, and high school classmates that are on there – we have a great time. However, I don’t like all the recent changes.
Will keep trying G+ to see if I can grow into a comfort level. Appreciate the tutorial. I could see it just fine on IE.
Thanks Edie
Cool Tiff, thanks for this tutorial:-)
You’re welcome!
Once again thanks Tiffany, It really is just a matter of sitting down an clicking to your hearts content I guess and make the effort to learn, father time is the culprit here
Yes I switch all over the place
Hi Tiff,
I had not even bothered about G+, until now so thanks for this. I can see clearly now, on Chrome here in Belfast.
As for Facebook, who said it was better? I certainly don’t think so – but then, what do I know!!!!!
Cheers
John
Thanks John!
Hi Tiff,
Thanks for your G+ tutorial. Your video is working fine in my FF5 here, in Hungary.
I share Alex’s opinion on joining.
Please, don’t get me wrong, I have no reason to hide anything. Just can’t stand the lot of vexing spam (and viruses sometimes) I got from various sources.
Have a nice week.:)
Sandor
You too Sandor!
Hi Tiff,
I’m so clueless when it comes to things like Google+ so I’m very glad you made this video. I’ll have to play around with it.
I hate FB and have deactivated my account there because as someone posted earlier, it gives me the creeps.
I hope to get the hang of Google+ and I like the idea of the circles.
