Cool Content Tip That Doesn’t Require Much Work
I was reading through the War Room in the Warrior Forum today and I saw a great content tip from a member named Ghalt that I’d like to pass along to you because it’s kind of nifty! If you can transcribe words someone speaks into a text document, you can do this – easy, right?
Many marketers are being taught that video is a required element of their online success (and I agree). So if you go to YouTube you’ll find thousands (millions?) of videos for your niche on there by experts. Those video are able to be posted and shared on your website, correct? So here’s what you do.
Take a video in your niche, transcribe the words into text, and post the text on your website WITH the video. You don’t want to just swipe the content alone because that’s stealing. But the perk you get is that Google will crawl your textual content and it can help you in the SERPs (search engine results pages). With the YouTube video, you’re only getting the description and title counting toward your content, but a full transcript gives much more fodder for SEO purposes.
You’re doing your audience a favor – some people prefer video, while others prefer to read (me included). The reason some of us like to read is because we can fast forward through parts we don’t like, want, or need. But we can still see what we’re missing as we fly past it. Fast forwarding on a YouTube video isn’t helpful unless you can read lips in fast motion.
Thanks to the Warrior who tipped us off about this strategy!
Update: Ghalt just sent me the link to his full report that you can download for free. It’s here: http://www.noduplicatecontent.com. Now here, you’ll need to opt in, but if you join the War Room, you get links where you don’t even have to opt in to get the report. Just an FYI!

Tiffany,
I’ve gotta hand it to you. I am a marketer but I pretty much pass over most of what I read because most marketers (in my opinion) are just carbon copies of each other…Just big dumb SPAM WARRIORS. I honestly must say that I read every email I get from you (no pressure…lol). You are full of interesting and unusual ideas, whether you come up with them yourself or on a forum it doesn’t matter…. You are One Smart Cookie!
Thanks for being you. You are one of the reasons I stay in this business.
Big Hugs…Robinana
That’s brilliant Tiff – thanks a heap for this free blog/content idea!
Helene Malmsio
Well that was sweet of you to say! Thanks Robinana! Yeah I know a lot of marketers will steal ideas and use them as their own. I sure don’t mind giving other people credit. I appreciate anyone giving me good tips – even if they just went out and found it for me from someone else. lol
Tiff Thanks for passing this great tip on.
Interesting twist! I’ll have to go niche video hunting now!
Videos are great, but having text with the videos adds the power to it.
thanks,
Hey Tiffany I loved the post. I am always looking for a way to provide fresh content to my readers and this looks great. The only little tweak I will make is to outsource the transcribing part. Thanks a heap.
Jim
Tiff,
The info in the War Room should be left in the War Room. We paid to be in there and the rules are “what you learn in the War Room stays there”
Shame on you.
That idea is brilliant in it’s simplicity. It’s wonderful for those of us who type fast (like me). This is why I always open your emails.
It’s interesting that the majority of marketers whose emails I always open because they’re worth reading are women. You’re right up there with Lynn Terry and a few others. Lets hear it for the girls!
And thanks for reminding me of the War Room. I keep forgetting to join. I’m going to remedy that today while I’m thinking about it.
Wow Mary – I’m a big fan of the WF and always promote it. I figured that perhaps mentioning one single good tip I found there (not even the whole post – one tiny portion of it) – might make others want to join the War Room, too. I have never seen in the stickies that Allen posted anything that said “what you learn in the War Room stays there.” So if you can direct me to that, I’d like to read ALL of the rules. Regardless, I don’t appreciate the way you chose to inform me. Why not just say, “Hey Tiff – did you know there’s a rule about not sharing info you learn from the War Room?” And then provide me with a link. It’s not like I was trying to be sneaky, informing people where it came from and crediting the original author and all. So maybe next time give me the benefit of the doubt (or others you interact with) before being rude.
Tiff
Yes the War Room is a goldmine of information. What I told you about was one very small nugget (pebble) of what you’ll learn there.
Hey Tiffany!
This is brilliant!!! So easy. Thank you so much for sharing this. You are a smart and wonderful person.
It’s not my smarts – it’s from the War Room member Ghalt, but he did have a great tip, didn’t he? He has a free report with more tips in the War Room, too.
Hi Tiff,
Thanks for the fantastic tip and passing it on, it is one of those twists that you think “Wow! Why didn’t I think of that”
It’s also one of those things that the majority won’t do because it will take to much effort, so this will set us apart from them.
I am going to use this for all of my blogs in future.
Thanks for th einfo, Tiff. I get lot’s of emails everyday, and follow a lot of the “gurus”, but I always open YOUR emails immediately, because I know you give your readers great info without the hype and the sales pitch.
Most of the “gurus” just lead you on, then make you opt in, then just try to sell you something, then do it all over again…
You just give your readers good great info.
We appreciate you!

Great tip Tiff and thanks for sharing what you learned in the War Room. This post says a lot about you (and it’s all good).
Keep up the great work
Ray
This is a great tip Tiffany.
Thanks for sharing
Abosolutely fabulous. All my problems solved in one. Many thanks Tiffany and Ghalt.
thanks alot Tiff u rock…….
and Mary does not have manners… shame on her
…
how is that?
Dear Tiffany,
This is just a great read and very good information. Thanks for sharing
Tiff,
Thanks for posting this. I wouldn’t have thought of it and I’m someone who prefers text to videos. If I see a video is 6 minutes I don’t want to lose 6 minutes of my life. I’d much rather skim text to see if I want to read it.
Deb
Thanks so much for showing us the value of the war room. That little snippet reminded me of what I was missing and of where the pros are hanging out. Thanks for the gentle reminder. Your blog rocks!
Thanks Tiff for this little nugget. Being a newbie this is huge. I always appreciate your emails and the info that you provide. Thanks again and keep it comming.
LOL Thanks Zane – that was my gripe. I never mind being corrected, but I do mind someone who doesn’t know what’s in my head and heart trying to shame me for what’s really an innocent blunder.
You are always welcome Tiff.
Hey Tiff,
Great tip and thanks for posting. I check in on the Warrior Forum almost everyday but I am NOT a member of the War Room. You tiny nugget now has me wondering what I may be missing.
Don’t sweat the other comments, your tip is timely and has others interested in that Great Marketing forum we all love.
Yeah I’m gonna post more about the War Room today.
FYI, so y’all can know what an outstanding gal Tiffany is…
When she realized that she might have broken the ‘keep-it-in-the-War-Room’ rule, she immediately PM’d me to explain what happened.
She actually asked me if I wanted her to take this post down…she would have if she did not have my ‘blessing’ to share the information.
Which, of course, she does! She’s an awesome resource with a wealth of info.
AND she’s a stand-up, honest person! In the cut-throat world of Internet Marketing, it’s very refreshing to see.
Aww thanks Ghalt! You were great to allow my readers to download the free report too. I appreciate that
Love people with a positive attitude!
