New PLR Provider, Are You a Nelly, Branding Book
Today’s chat will be about a new PLR provider, those horrible Nellies who have no shot at success online, and the most promising looking branding book I got in the mail for our upcoming challenge.
New PLR Provider
Yesterday when I was chatting with my subscribers about my affiliate program, I invited the other providers to send me an in depth introduction to their own PLR stores if they had a program I might be able to use for my own recommendations.
I got one really good one I wanted to share today. She’s actually one of my top affiliates, so what that tells me is that HER customers trust her advice. She may not be exactly new to this business, but she’s new as far as me promoting her.
You may already recognize her name – Ruth Pound. She’s that sweet (and beautiful) lady in the sun hat who I always recognize online because of her positive posts on my blog, in Google Plus, and on Twitter.
That may mean diddly squat to you – but a person letting me get to know them, being a good person – it means EVERYTHING to me. Without that foundation, I don’t care if what you sell is good.
So Ruth sent me several files to check out. She explained her PLR stores (she has two). I noticed her PLR packs go way above and beyond, providing all sorts of file types, keyword research, and more.
She has an a la carte multi niche site and a membership site specifically catering to electronics and toys – PERFECT for the months coming up, so let me let YOU check her out.
A La Carte Site:
Sign Up for Freebies and Discounts
Membership Site for Electronics and Toys:
Are You a Negative Nelly?
Every day they show their Eeyore sides. Look at this unsub today (no, this type doesn’t hurt my feelings – I pity THEM for being so doom and gloom).
No content just braging.
Poor Everett got yesterday’s email and saw no motivational kick in the rear. He saw nothing but “braging,” err… bragging. Let me clear this up for you, Eeyore. Um, I mean Everett.
I’m not trying to impress you. I don’t know you, or if you’re even worthy of impressing. Well wait, I just found your lifeless website based on your email address. Judging by your content, I’d say you’re not. Zero connection with your audience. Not one iota of personality in there, which is probably why there are zero comments on the whole site. Maybe you OUGHT to start bragging a bit, if there’s anything worth bragging about.
I don’t want a date. I married a hottie who I love and who’s a good provider, so I’m not trying to be your sugar mama by impressing you with my income.
I’m not trying to get hired by you. My success will not directly help you make money, since I won’t be your employee. I wasn’t being interviewed about my qualifications.
I don’t need you as my BFF forever and ever. If I make money, and brag about it to you, it surely won’t make you think I’ll be picking up the tab when we go out.
No, I was simply trying to help you realize that PLR paired with affiliate marketing IS a very good moneymaker. I don’t PhotoShop or make random claims – I show you proof and share my own true experiences.
Why do I do this? Certainly not to brag.
It’s to open your eyes. It’s to help you narrow down your possible business opportunities and choose one that lets you set your own pace. One that provides residual earnings and explodes over time, not in 24 hours before it fizzles out.
It’s so you know that selling a $1 per page product, you can still make shitloads of money – you don’t have to lie and push $10,000 coaching programs off on unsuspecting newbies who max out their credit cards in order to succeed.
But okay, Eeyore. You win. Get off my list and let that rain cloud follow you elsewhere. Some people just won’t ever see the sun shining on them. Luckily, I noticed so many of you DID view it as a kick in the pants you needed to ramp up your efforts. My intentions, exactly.
Branding Book I’m Eyeballing With Anticipation
I got all three branding books the other day. I haven’t yet gone through them but I am going to start this week!
Of all the ones I thumbed through, I feel like Accidental Branding (love the lightening in a jar graphic) is going to speak to me the most. It’s ME, it’s YOU! It’s all of us regular people out here building a business who happen to suddenly be a BRAND, not just a username.
I love the concept.
Let me give you a sliver.
Rule #3 – Be Your Own Customer.
I love this! When I started this business of teaching other newbies, it was BECAUSE I was in your shoes. When Craig showed me how to do something, I was so appreciative, I knew others would appreciate the step-by-step know-how as well.
When I personally fell in love with ethical marketers, I knew there’d be others who would feel that same way.
And I was right.
I no longer believe in marketing to an audience that I’m not (or don’t have passion for). I tried it. I tested all sorts of selling to niche audiences just because they had high search volume or little competition.
But you might as well lean me back in a dentist’s chair and yank all my teeth out – because it’d be just as much fun.
Okay I’m off for fun the rest of my day! I told Scarlett we were going to have a full out wedding for Barbie and Ken today – I’m decorating, having a full reception with music and food, and everything. And tonight is date night – woot!
Don’t wait up for me
Tiff

Two of my favorite ladies in one post – Ruth and you Tiff are both excellent and so focused on over-delivering to your customers – something well worth bragging about
I’ll blush on behalf of both Ruth and myself!
Thank you so much Tiffany! You’ve made me blush with the kind words!
“Eeyore. You win…let that rain cloud follow you elsewhere”
Hey Tiff, send Eeyore to Austin. My yard looks like hay and could really use the rain. LOL But after that he’s got to go. I love sunshine.
Give Barbie and Ken my best
lol sure thing!
As usual, you tell it like it is and that’s why we all love you… =}
For the Eyeore, I look at it this way… it’s his loss, not yours… life goes on…
I just became familiar with Ruth from her WSO and yes, I did download her free plr already… great stuff and I’m sure I’ll be using more of her stuff in the future…
Writing is just one task I usually don’t have time for since most of my time is spent on website creation and graphics for both myself and my clients, so I depend on PLR a lot…
Thank God You, Ruth and others like ya exist!
Enjoy your weekend and stay cool…
Linda =}
Agree, it is his loss. LOL There are some unsubs who break my heart, some who are just trolls, and some I feel sorry for.
Gee Tif I sure wish you would stop sugar coating everything…. ROFLOL
Hmmm seems you could be working on something else, you already have a brand and it works for you and your gazzillion followers.
Oh well
Keep the posts coming…
Thanks for being true to you
Scott
lol sorry I’ll try to be more blunt
~
On branding, I definitely need a plan! I was ghostwriter to the gurus, then squidoo guru, etc so I need to formulate a long term plan
I discovered Ruth not long ago. I love Ruth! I think I’m signed up to almost everything she publishes. Knowing her story AND your story, always inspires me and kicks me in the butt—that’s a good thing.
You know there’s always a pooh-pooh head in the bunch. I say, “Pffft!” I found your affiliate post VERY inspiring and motivational. It tells me I am FINALLY on the right track. I may be working a little slower than I want, but since finding you and Ruth, I am now focusing at least 95% of my attention on the PLR business.
I “still” have shiny object syndrome, but it’s so much easier to control now. Yay!
Aaaaaaaaand, I’ve read through Ruth’s archives and her review of PLR ATM (I’m working on one too) and I know that between that time and now, she has grown her business very nicely. I wonder if there’s a connection? Hmmmmmmmmm. LOL.
My PLR store may be a mess right now, but anyone can Google my name and find out who I am. I’m pretty much an open book, I have a personality—it’s all over the place, and I’m quite a nice person. I’m in this for the long haul, so it’s important to me that people can see the person behind the computer screen.
It’s kind of ironic that the person who berates you in email and says you’re bragging, has nothing to show the world. Hmmmmmmm. Connection?
Thanks for sharing your stuff. I think I’ve learned more from you in the past six months or so than I’ve learned from following other marketers for years. You Rock!
~Patti
Thanks Patti! By the way – what’s your last name? If I google Patti, I won’t get much info back
Branding tip #1 – brand your first and last names
Thanks so much Patti! There’s a huge connection between my PLR success and PLR ATM. The main thing was I changed my mindset. In my head before I got PLR ATM I thought it was a bit of money on the side and I had only done a few packs and left it. Tiff was so open about her numbers that it made me think it could be a real business, so I worked on it consistently, and that is what is has become now
And Ruth didn’t you also do a sort of in depth review too? Or more than “this is good?” It seems those who are showing others how something works, work hard at it.
Yes I did a really detailed review of it – that review also earned me quite a bit of cash in itself
I am actually going to write a blog post about that soon. It definitely helps to do a thorough review because it means you go through it properly yourself, too, instead of just leaving it after getting an attack of BSO syndrome!
Oops! I’m on a different computer today.
I changed the link (on this comment) to my main site instead of the plr site—so now they can all find me being me.
I need a complete overhaul on the PLR site. It’s completely backwards, but I’ll get there.
lol gotcha!
Haay!
How spell braging?
*** Change of topic ***
Since you brought up the branding point, how do you know if you should brand under your name or psuedo. For Example, PPGirl branded as PPGirl. You branded as Tiffany Dow.
***
I stuck on dat.
Kater
LMAO! We’ll cover the branding thing in the challenge. I have to think of an answer. LOL!
Tell ‘em Tiff…
That’s why we make money and they spend the rest of their lives trying to figure out why they don’t.. because they repel money and success away from them, and attract doom and gloom pity stories into their lives…
I love how you kicked him in the a@@ while showing him the door!
Good for you;)
Nic
http://www.MLMPLRStore.com
LOL thanks Nic
LOL. “No content just braging”. Some people are just so funny!
Also, Accidental Branding looks good, it’d be great if you could publish a review when you’re finished reading. But you know what, I took a look at the reviews on Amazon and read the 1 star review – the reviewer basically said the book just states the obvious and whatnot, so I kinda have my doubts. The other reviews are okay but yeah, would love to know what you think of the book. Which other branding books have you bought? (Sorry, I’m guilty of not having been following your blog posts lately, lol).
Cheers
Have a fantabulistic weekend!
I also bought these two Anish: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/0471771597/ref=as_li_ss_tl?ie=UTF8&tag=weddingsociet-20&linkCode=as2&camp=217145&creative=399369&creativeASIN=0471771597 and http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/0789747278/ref=as_li_ss_tl?ie=UTF8&tag=weddingsociet-20&linkCode=as2&camp=217145&creative=399369&creativeASIN=0789747278
Great Post today Tiffany. By the way, I am just starting to read your PLR ATM. Can’t wait until I can get my PLR Store up and makeing money. You are the greatest Tiffany. Your products are always well written and provide a lot of valuable information for the price.
thanks Sam!
People like Eeyore will not succeed. It’s too bad he unsubscribed because you are one of the most sincere and helpful marketers around. I have emailed you several times with questions and you ALWAYS help me.
I bought PLR ATM a few months ago and I’ll tell you something, that post yesterday lit such a fire in me to get my plr written it is unbelievable. I wrote two articles yesterday and plan on spending a couple of hours this afternoon writing more. My plan is to write enough so I can have a decent amount of articles on my site when I launch it.
Your posts are inspiring to me and they MOTIVATE me to get work done. Not ONCE have I ever thought you were bragging. I appreciate that you share your earnings with us. It lets me know there is lots of money to be made for everyone!
Thanks Tiffany!
I noticed something Lisa – those who unsub have never once tried to build a relationship with me. They never ask a question or anything. Sad and lonely being a true SOLO entrepreneur.
Before I even clicked the link to this post I knew you were talking about Ruth! Just love her!!! She not only provides great PLR, both free and purchased, but she also took the time to generously share of herself a while back when I really needed it. What a blessing she is!
As far as bragging and all of that – I see it as letting us know what is possible if we just keep moving forward. You continually raise the bar for those of us who are willing to continue on, no matter where we are along the path.
When I look at how long you have been in the business as opposed to some of the rest of us – yes, we have a ways to go. But by keeping our goals in front of us, we too can someday look back on all that we accomplished along the way.
For example, there is no way I would have a PLR store, especially one that actually has sales
, without your teaching, challenges, and encouragement.
Take care and hope the wedding and date night provide you a time of fun and relaxation with your family. And, no, I won’t be waiting up for you – been there, done that!!!
Thanks Edie! Yes Ruth is wonderful. She’s like Peg, or Craig…one of those genuinely great people. The wedding just ended (I can only sit on the floor so long at my age) LOL And it was beautiful. Amazingly, they had a baby the very NIGHT they got married! Gotta fast track everything in the mind of a 7 yr old I guess. Ken fainted during delivery and Barbie made fun of him. Honey ate the double stuff oreo wedding cake, too.
Thanks so much Edie
I didn’t mind sharing my thoughts with you because you’ve always been so lovely and helpful to me too!
I’m a Ruth fan too. She’s one smart marketer who gives her customers great service and extras. Plus she’s not afraid to try new things!
Peggy
Hiya Tiff,
Re: “no content, just braging” sic – It is so weird how some people interpret information. As soon as I read your email, it made me want to find out more about setting up a proper affiliate site. I am happy that people are buying my stuff but the extra exposure that other people could bring means more profits for me.
Sharing your results definitely spurred me on. I started looking at the different affiliate membership programmes available.
Jrox JAM offers a free service for those who have up to 50 people signing then you have to purchase the upgrade for $250 which gives you unlimited affiliate signups.
EasyMemberPro are currently running a deal for August – $97 (normal price $297) though the reviews I have read have not been good.
Clickbank doesn’t seem to like people selling PLR although I read that one of your commenters has used them with LinkLok but couldn’t find any reviews for this.
At the moment, Jrox JAM sounds good as I don’t expect more than 50 people to sign up and if they do, the profits gained from that would definitely cover the cost of the upgrade.
If you haven’t already, you need to add an affiliate link to your resource page, as I would be more than happy to purchase and provide you with the commission.
If other people can recommend other sites, that would be great. (mmm – maybe this is a good post for for own site. Lol)
Tiptopcat
ps: Congrats to Barbie & Ken and the birth of their baby
I can’t figure out if they have an affiliate program for that – it’s very confusing. lol Barbie sends her thanks!
Hi Tiptopcat,
I sell the original articles via Clickbank and give the buyers permission to do what they want with them, so I’m not actually selling a ‘plr product’ per se.
I have a page set up on my PLR site for Clickbank affiliates to get their aff links and images from. You can take a look here: http://plrarticleheaven.com/affiliates.php

Hi Tiff and Tiptopcat,
Just wanted to chime in on Tiptopcat’s post to say when we were looking around for a cheap download and affiliate provider before we launched our Halloween WSO we came across https://getdpd.com/?referrer=14bv3i8yzlr4kgg (affiliate link – just remove text after .com/ if you want to use without) who run their site based on a tier system depending on how many products you want to list with them (currently we can have up to 20 products for $10 per month). You are not tied in and can upgrade/downgrade whenever you like. They are currently running a 30 day trial.
We were so impressed with the delivery rate and easy set up during our WSO launch that we have now moved all our PLR packs over to them and implemented their shopping cart onto our PLR site.
I also had a small technical issue and their support came back to us within a couple of hours and solved the problem in a matter of minutes.
They are definitely worth a look, especially for people starting out who don’t want the expense of Jrox JAM or Download Guard until they are better established.
Hope this is useful.
Regards
Kate_H
I don’t receive unsubscribes. I discovered a long time ago that I couldn’t use them to improve my emails. They fell in three categories:
1: Persons who had got a new email address
2: Persons who no longer were interested in the topic
3: Persons who wrote just like your Eeyore.
The latter category would often upset me. I would go:
How dare he, that little ignorant jelly-fish? How dare HE write such a thing to ME, who gives him MY words for free? He should be honered that little sucker!
And I would continue for hours.
Well, I think I’ve gotten more or less over letting myself get upset like that, but I still cannot use people’s unsubscribe reasons to help me get better, so I choose not to spend time reading them all at. I might miss one good reason out of 100, I don’t know. I’m fine with my system as it is.
lol might be a good idea not to get that info.
Good to know about Ruth Pound
I recently heard a guy speak about how to name the business so that the sounds get repeated inside our heads. Coca cola is one such name.
MMM love me some Coca Cola!
Tiffany,
I LOVE your honesty – it is refreshing. Eeyore is probably just jealous – I never get the feeling you are bragging at all. Just sharing your bits of advice. My PLR site just doesn’t get the traffic, not do I promote it. I also don’t have a lot of content because I write it all myself — as you know that takes time. I focus on other areas. We all have our strengths and business models that work and Eeyore may not realize what his are.
I started thinking, “I don’t know any business who doesn’t brag.” A weight loss product that works is going to show people who lost weight. a “teach your baby to read” program is going to show a cute infant sitting there babbling real words to us. Betcha 10-1 if I didn’t show any proof or talk about earnings, old Eeyore would have complained about that info being left out.
Hi Tiff. Yes your PLRATM course was a big help to me when I first started thinking about setting up a PLR store. I also have purchased Gathering and Structuring, Building an Ebook Empire and your lastest – List Building. Each one has given me new ideas on writing and selling PLR.
My PLR store has been set up for awhile and I have made some sales. I realize it takes time and that is something I have a lot of, so I keep plugging away writing new PLR material and promoting it.
My PLR store is at http://www.newplr4you.com. I would appreciate any feedback I can get on how to improve it.
List building has always been an issue with me and I’m starting to work through you list building ebook hoping to pick up some ideas and see an improvement in my list.
Thanks in advance for any feedback that would make my site a better experience for people stopping by and wanting to come back.
Thanks Ron! Your site’s really coming along. I remember when you first got it set up
Checked out Ruth’s site. Pretty neat and easy on the eyes. Have it bookmarked and will be subscribing.
As far as the unsubs. Oh well. Such is life. You still have a whole army of loyal ones. As for Schleprock, he can go on his merry way.
BTW. Give Honey my regards and tell her to heal up.
sure will Philip!
Super post. I want to write like that. Also I appreciate the time you spend in personal emails to questions. No doubt about it in your expression in speaking your mind.
lol not sure if expression of my mind is always a good thing
Tiff, I think you should “brag” more often – there’s nothing more motivating than seeing someone succeed with their technique!
Your last post made PLR ATM a shiny object for me. Must… resist… argh!
I’ve got the UA coaching to focus on right now but once that’s over I’ll definitely add PLR to my project list. And that’ll probably be right about the time of the branding challenge – what a great coincidence
Focus first – I’m not puling it off the shelves or anything Lisa! lol
This is why I love your blog. Where can I get good advice and comedy all rolled into one. LOL.
I didn’t take that post as bragging. It was very motivating because it shows what can be accomplished doing this type of work. I was so inspired about getting started on an affiliate program of my own after reading you post, that I talked my husbands ears off about it and he isn’t even in to PLR or internet marketing.
Don’t you love it when haters can’t spell and try to tell you off .. LOL
lol yes that’s a perk!
I love Ruth’s PLR too, she is one of my favourites. I also love checking out her blog on a regular basis and reading her posts. There aren’t too many blogs I read online, in fact I think yours and Ruth’s are the only 2 I read regularly.
thanks Sheryl!
Aw thanks Sheryl
That is a sign that I need to blog more often
“No content just braging”… Looking at the spelling… Eeyore seem only to have the wor(l)d in the wrong place.
I’d be happy if someone unsub’d my list as it would have proved I at least had a subscriber on it.
I’ve set up to send a “Thank you for your time. Hope to see your work in the future.” and toss the rest. Not even a note about a sign off. Notes on sign on, equally not noted. I check in every day anyhow. I’ve already reach zero sub’s. It’s going fast here. lol
Only yesterday, for the first time I could find my site on Google and that felt… well, interesting. So, building a list takes time. So does building a site.
When reading along the replies, I had a thought (me think, is braging?):
If you put up a problem in front of 1000 people. You probably get 10 different solutions, 100 different cries for help, 880 different walk aways and 10 different needs to get out of a paralyzed state.
It shows we’re all different and differ in perspective and eval’s. Even if a relationship is perfect today, it doesn’t mean it will stay dandy for ever. We change and hopefully Eeyore too (the better).
We all need to brag from time to time. It sets a pin to the board, setting a reference to an achievement we need to be able to look back to.
Brag on Tiff! Bragging is content in its rightful self, yes?
How’s Ken?
Great insight Agneta! And Ken is recovering nicely. He hit his head in the fainting spell and has amnesia like any good soap opera would have, but Barbie is caring for him.
Another great post Tiff! I can’t wait to see what you are going to do with the branding challenge, I,m looking forward to it and hope it helps me to find an audience. I did get a couple of great comments this week on my site and did pat myself on the back because they were responses to my comments about what and how I feel about this new online journey I’m on.
I pulled something in my back this last week so I was spending much of my free time asleep so I’m still trying to get my PLR for this week out before Sunday, but I did a quick blog post on my site – it’s not much, but I want to give people a reason to check the site even if they don’t buy – this way they can feel like they at least got something out of their search.
I think that is going to be an important thing to consider when going into the branding challenge – my “voice” in my personal writing is different than the “voice” I use in PLR and I have made reference to that in several posts so my customers understand that I am professional in my writing.
Branding has so many different facets to it and I’m excited to see what I can learn from you. I did pretty well when writing fiction and had over 10,000 hits to one of the sites I posted on – but PLR is totally different and I’ve got to learn the new rules.
Thanks for all your words of wisdom and information – because you so freely share your experiences, I have an idea of what to expect in some situations and that is priceless!
~B~
I can’t wait to see what I’m going to do either! LOL
Hi Tiffany,
This is so strange, I came here to thank you for that email about your ‘affiliate’ success. It inspired me and showed me a entire different direction to go in. I have done the math and you might have saved my business.
I have had a problem with the flipside of success, working flat out, selling everything I write and still just keeping my head above water. My own fault, I tied myself to promises to sponsors and clients and will not go back on my word.
I will work through this and when I have fufilled my current commitments, I will now change my model in line with your ideas. Thank you so much for sharing so freely.
Then I read about Eeyore and I am guessing his negative reaction was to exactly the same email that helped me. I was totally stunned. You know when you are in a dark place, surprisingly, sometimes it is not easy to see the light. I guess he was suffering and the last thing he wanted to hear was about someone else’s success. It is so sad he missed the point, something that probably ould have helped him.
All I can say is thank you again for been so open, I just wanted you to know you are making a difference to people’s lives for the better.
best wishes
Jack
True – he may be in a dark place, Jack. Sadly, only he can pull himself out of that.
OMG no content! Is Eeyore kidding? Maybe he just hasn’t found whatever it is that he needs, although it would be hard to read your posts and not learn something! And you do need to “brag” so that newbies and oldies alike catch the buzz and excitement and know that we can succeed as well if we are prepared to work as hard! Also to learn what works and what works amazingly. In a basically lonesome type of business, it is really important to follow positive, upbeat blogs such as yours Tiff and get that support and information.
Thanks, Jan!
I don’t care WHAT Eeyore says Tiff…keep doing what you’re doing! Obviously he bypassed all the comments and never made it past the one post. Too bad really as he’s missed the opportunity to learn from a down-to-earth, successful marketer that could have put him on the path to where he thinks he was headed.
LOVE LOVE LOVE Ruth’s stuff too!! She always over delivers like you, writes great stuff that I also purchase regularly, AND let’s us know what’s going on in her personal life with her travel goals and her Kindle decisions!
Glad everyone’s healthy on the Barbie/Ken/baby side!
Debi J
That made me laugh Debi “let’s us know what’s going on in her personal life with her travel goals and her Kindle decisions!” – by the way, I am SO happy with my Kindle lol!
Hi Tiffany,
I have a copy of Accidental Branding, but had set it aside – until last night that is, when I read that IT was THE book you were excited about.
I eargerly read the first two chapters and I can see why you like it already – there is so much in there that you already do, and why I feel so blessed to learn from your experience:
1. You’re authentic
2. You’re willing to stand firm on what you believe, even if it isn’t what everyone else is doing.
People are drawn to that – I know I am! Can’t wait for the branding challenge!!
Thanks Tiffany!
I know when Craig said that book WAS me it made me wonder what I’d done right versus wrong. LOL!
Between you and Ruth, I have learnt so much this year on writing, PLR, internet marketing – the list goes on.
I bought PLR ATM through Ruth and have been constantly amazed at her generosity for giving away freebies and her canniness for finding new business opportunities.
I’m sure she’s got the same pc as you – you know the one that churns out 150 pages in 5 mins!
How you both create so much content so quickly is beyond me!
Keep up the good work, both of you and thank you for giving me lots of inspiration!
Julie
You can buy those PCs at Best Buy LOL!
