Non English Squidoo Lenses

Have you ever taken a Squidoo lens that was doing well and translated it into another language and seen how well it performs? I did and it’s a great idea! I had a lens on Squidoo about an baby Halloween costumes. It was doing so well that one day for fun I used Google and typed in something like free online English to Spanish translator.

I went module by module, title by title, pasting my lens content into it and then pasting the Spanish results into my lens. And guess what? I make sales off that Spanish lens! My original test case was here:

English Version Lens: Baby Halloween Costumes
Spanish Version Lens: Disfraz de Bebé Víspera de Todos los Santos

Go to Google and type in disfraz de bebe (costume for baby) and I’m #2 on Google! Type in disfraz darth vader para bebe – which is a darth vader costume for baby and I’m on page 1 again – #6. I have a whole slew of keyword phrases I’m being found for. And this Spanish lens? It performs BETTER than the English version in terms of traffic and sales. LOL!

So now I went and did it again a day or two ago here:

English Version Lens: Top Toddler Toys
Spanish Version Lens: Mejores Juguetes Para Niños Pequeños

Now as of the time of this writing, it isn’t indexed yet – but I’m hoping it will be. Aside from the introduction image, everything is exactly the same. Oh, and on the Spanish lens I left off my RSS feeds since those are in English. But if this one works out and I discover that the 1st test case wasn’t a fluke, then I’m going to capitalize on more Spanish lenses!

I think this is neat. I may eventually try it with other languages. Oh how I wish I could accurately translate my eBooks into Spanish.
Tiff ;)

That’s pretty nifty Tiff. When i saw it yesterday i wondered if you’d used a translator service or software. This could be a profitable new distribution channel.

I have been wondering forever if we could use Squidoo in other languages, and now I have finally Googled it – lol

Any other language than english is soooo much easier to rank for.

I have read that Hubpages doesn’t allow other languages though
