One Act of Kindness Snowballed Into Something Wonderful
Hi everyone! Let’s chat – I would do a video but I am sooooo sick still. This is one of those deeply buried bronchial infections that has the power to wake me from a Nyquil sleep and force me to sit up coughing for an hour. No good and baby girl Scarlett’s sick now too so I’m nurturing her as well.
1. The PLR sale is over.
It was $1 for my courses or PLR for 48 hours. I earned a little over $10,000 and had NO clue it’d be that big since we’d had so many $5 sales recently. I figured y’all were all bought out but apparently not! It helps a great deal because I still have a TON of tuition to pay. So thank you!
So that statement above about the earnings should tell you two things.
First, those of you emailing me saying you felt GUILTY taking advantage of that sale – don’t. I made a lot of money. I’m very grateful.
Second, where’s your OWN plr store? Hmmmm? Those of you abandoning it after 2 packs, jump back on that bike and do this thing!
I got so many dozens and dozens of emails from grateful people who feel this was life changing for them! That made me feel so good! Some said it reinforced their belief in humanity. Some said they were SO broke and needed a course SO bad and then this was sent.
If you didn’t get your PLR but you placed an order:
FIRST check your spam folder. 9 times out of 10 that’s where it is.
THEN email me and let me know. MANY of you have companies who restrict file size recipient emails, so they bounced back. I wound up having to split them into many little emails. It’s BEST to have a gmail account for things like this.
2. Random Act of Kindness Snowball
I always love PLR sales when I can send freebies myself. Like if someone says, “I bought $10 worth so I want these two – but I will come back for this other third pack when I can afford it.” And then I send it anyway. Now don’t go slamming with that phrase next time. LOL!
So Patti does this little thing where she donates $10 to those who can’t afford it (hugs, tears!). What happened was… people read her comment, and started doing the same! It was called the Patti fund, the Rita fund, the Tiffany Dow scholarship, and the Angel fund.
People sent money for JUST the fund. People paid extra over their order and said, “put the rest to someone less fortunate.” People had duplicates in their orders and instead of substituting, they said “put it in the fund!”
I want to tell you of one of the many stories. This was no greater than the others, just an example of the viral nature of helping. In the WSO listing, one person saw someone’s post who missed the sale. I had already told her to go ahead and order anyway. But this angel sees her post, follows her profile and messages me.
He says, “I just ordered $47 and instead of filling MY order, I want you to let HER have the items she wants instead.” So I tell him, “How about I send you yours AND let her have whatever she wants?” So she had already paid $5 by the time this all goes down. I see her payment and email her letting her know about her angel – and you know what she tells me? “Donate that $5 to someone else who needs it, then.”
OMG! We’re all giving and giving and giving. And she was like the lady in It’s a Wonderful Life when the bank forecloses on the loan who takes JUST what she needs, even though I told her to go crazy. Such beautifulness.
Other stories I randomly remember off the top of my head? A lady about to go into labor donating because she was so touched by this whole scene going down. Oh gosh there’s too many. I’ve been so sick and filling orders non stop.
So it’s officially going to be known as The Angel Fund. You’ll notice at the top of this blog I’ve started a page – it’s empty for now but I’ll fill it. The Patti donation snowballed into…drumroll please…
$620 worth of donations to help struggling marketers!
69 people donated to this fund! And many of these people are hard up themselves, but giving because that’s what we do as humans. So I am HONEY BADGER protective of this fund!!
Now hold up! Don’t email me a wish list just yet. I won’t let this thing be abused. It’s going to go a LONG way. The goal is to HELP, not ENABLE.
3. How the Angel Fund Will Be Used
First of all, one person suggested it be donated to the USO which is a noble cause too, so you can definitely have me send that there if you prefer. BUT…I’d prefer to keep this for what it was meant for and I’m going to pitch in too. I want y’all’s input though to see what you think!
I want to keep the Angel Fund reserved for those who come to me all the time in deep despair. And no, I will not start doing handouts today for everyone who emails me with any random sob story. We all know that unfortunately, there are a lot of freebie seekers who have NO problem whatsoever in taking from this fund just to save themselves money (even if they have it) – doesn’t that suck? But it’s true.
Now here are some of my thoughts…
I usually do quite a bit of email interaction with a person when they approach me in despair. Even like with D, I tried opening the door for personal help and email advice. I want people who want to work for their success.
This will NOT be a handout fund where I pay for your domain, course, and hosting just because you’re broke. People donated to help and you have to be willing to help yourself too to get these hard working individuals’ money!
So what I’ll be doing is carrying on as usual, helping people via email like I do. And when I see someone who is deserving, who has shown proof of effort and desire to make this work, I will tap into the fund and help!
AND…get this…let’s say they need PLR ATM as an example. Instead of charging the Angel Fund the $27 usual price, I’ll only charge the Angel Fund $1 for the same price it was during this 48 hour sale. So by doing this, we’ll be able to help HUNDREDS of people, not just a few.
One thing I DO need your input on. You know how I often advise to start w/a service? Well not everyone is advised by me to start w/ghostwriting (because I can tell who is right for that and who isn’t by their email to me). But what IF I do come across someone who needs that course? It’s NOT something part of this sale – I have no control over pricing it solo, so what do you guys want me to do IF I come across someone in need of Ghostwriting Cash?
Do I spend the $67? Do you prefer I do something else? I’d like your input on this!
Ah and I want to address domain and hosting. Some of you may be wondering, “Why wouldn’t she take those for the person out of the fund?” Well there’s a reason for that!
I started on 100% free sites. I worked my way up and those things, like a free Squidoo lens I used for ghostwriting – earned me over $10,000. I want the person to prove they’re hustling for this. I want them to reach out to fellow marketers and ask for work, give a free article, and use their first earnings to reinvest into their business.
If we GIVE them a readymade website, course, hosting, domain, etc…then you and I both know what will happen in many cases – they’ll have it up a week, see it’s not making money and quit! Wasted, stolen dollars out of the Angel Fund. They need to be willing to put themselves out there.
I do not want turnkey freebie seekers edging out hardworking individuals who want to TRY with HELP and support of our community.
What are your thoughts on this, please? You guys did it!
And what I plan to do is keep a running tally. We don’t have to disclose names at all, but I can have things on the Angel Fund page that explains where the money is going to help someone. If someone has shown me effort to do their site, has a plan for marketing, is reaching out to JV prospects etc but can’t write and has no money for outsourcing, perhaps $1 could go to giving them a PLR course to use as an opt in report or eBook or article set?
What do you think of this? Not everyone has an issue with strategy – some people lack talent, instead of energy or ideas.
Basically, I freaking LOVE you guys! You are my heroes. You have no clue how many tears I’ve shed over the last few days! Even Honey has whimpered wondering what’s wrong with me when I’ve been going through orders, reading stories, etc.
Okay I am bone tired. I have to eat something and then fill any last minute or bounced orders. ((((((HUGS))))))))

Tiff
PS – Someone emailed me saying how great it was that the sale was so successful. And they mentioned, rightly so, that so many other marketers wouldn’t DREAM of doing $1 products because $10,000 is laughable to them – “not for under $100K” is what he said – and it’s sadly true. Whatever happened to helping people partly because it FEELS good to do the right thing?

Oh my goodness this is fab Tiff! So amazing how it snowballed like that. I have to admit I was one who did not want to take advantage of the $1 sale since I’ve taken advantage of a lot of your sales lately. But I’m glad you made money and collected a lot of donations too. Great story and I hope it will really help some people.
Oh goodness always leave the guilt at home! LOL
Ruth,
As a member of “the giver society”, which I happen to know you’re a card-carrying member of, one of the hardest things to learn to do is to receive.
We give because it makes us feel good to do something special for others. By not receiving, we take that away from the person who’s giving.
Sorta like telling the guy who cooked dinner for you “Sorry but I can’t eat that cause I already ate 2 oTher meals you made for me this month.” LOL
Just sayin…and yes, it takes TONS of practice and will STILL be uncomfortable.
Debi J
This is just plain simply glorious, and you had better believe I’m going to sing the praises of your network/community over at my site too!
What a *fantastic* experience you and your community has had – kudos to you. It’s folks like you that make the world ‘go round.
Yeah I’m hoping it moved others like it did me or I look like a dork! LOL
Yes it did Tiff, I share in my reply!
Praying you get better soon! ( And the little one..)
thanks Charles me too!
Tiffany;
I think that you are a very good judge of people who have real needs and are very lost in the Internet world. I think you should use the money in the best way you think will help someone get a leg up.
Thanks Pat!
Ditto that! Very well said
Ditto, you make the call. Sounds like you have a knack for it. It’s great to hear that so many give back. Of course, this is a very special group that follow you Tiff. AND, it IS true that “it is more of a blessing to give than to receive.”
thanks J Keith!
I completely agree. Tiff, you know what’s going on and have a really good BS detector. This is so amazing! I just posted about it.
thank you Holly
This really was a great experience. I offered my list the same special for two days and because of your 30 day challenge had lots of PLR packages for people to choose from.
For me offering this sale got me some really great remarks and comments from my list members and this was a huge plus for me and really the biggest benefit of all!
Wonderful Sue!!
OMG Tiff! The last amount I read was like $120–and the grand total is over $600?
That is soooo amazing and I’m truly blessed to have been a part of it.
I won’t get all mushy, I’ve already been fighting a headache today and we all know that crying does not help a headache.
My store is still really small, and I was ‘almost’ embarrassed when you linked to it–but I’m in this for the long haul and it will grow. I’ve also met a lot of nice, new friends who will grow with me. I do want to start adding more than a pack per week, but even that is something and it’s steady.
Thanks for ALL of YOUR support. I’d considered a PLR site for a long time, but it was your course that finally made me get off my arse. Thanks again.
As for how the funds will be handled, I like your ideas.
Have a truly blessed weekend, pile up with that baby girl and watch some good movies. Hope you both feel better soon!
Big Hugs!
~Patti
Yes! And you must feel good starting that
Hello Tiffany. You mention about your own PLR store, did you mean the PLR ATM course. Sorry I haven’t been following as much.
Yes it’s in the plr store. Is that what you mean?
This has been the most amazing thing to watch unfold online that I have ever witnessed! This is more like the Tiffany (Honey Badger) community than the Tiffany blog.
As to what to do with the Angel fund? Whatever you think is best. I agree with very needy and trying like crazy to make their online business a success. I like the $1 plr course idea, a little can go a long way to helping many.
I think we all learned something from this, joy comes from the little acts of kindness.
Hope you feel better soon! Get some rest darn it
Terri
It doesn’t have to be the plr course fyi – any of my courses but the duo one. I just used it as an example
Wow, this really turned into something huge. Sounds like a lot people got help when they needed it. While 10,000 is way less than 100K it’s still a nice chunk so I disagree with that marketer. I would love to bring that kind of sale in. You have touched a lot of people with your act of kindness.
My friend was so happy when she got her email with her products from you last night and so was I because it is more than we would normally be able to afford to buy and I know there are always people who have less than we do and I know this was a blessing to them too.
I am so motivated by the things I read on your blog that not only am I still adding to my PLR store but I took your advice where you said we should have an affiliate program for it. I’m trying but I know it takes time so I’m being patient.
Many times when people start ventures, including myself in the past, they want instant results and ending quitting or slacking off when they don’t get unrealistic results right away. I don’t expect to make Tiffany Dow type money in a month LOL. I have to work hard for what I want and not give up, so that’s what I’m trying to do.
Thanks for being so encouraging to us!
Yes! Build it slow but stick with it and follow through
Hi Tiff,
It is fantastic to hear just how generous people can be. Hooray for the snowball effect. Well done Patti.
I look forward to reading how you will be able to help people with the Angel fund. As you will be interacting with each person, hopefully it won’t be too difficult to seperate the freebie seekers from those in real need.
I would definitely say use some of the fund for the more expensive course if you can feel that the individual would gain more from it.
Soo sorry to hear you are still unwell. I hope you and your daughter feel better soon.
Take care
Tiptopcat
thanks lady!
The sale was mentioned on a work at home mom forum I frequent, and it exposed an entirely new set of people trying to make it online to you. There were quite a few that mentioned they had never heard of you. A few others had wanted your PLR ATM (it’s a WAHM writing forum) but couldn’t afford it before. I think the reason the sale saw such success is because so many people were spreading the news of your awesomeness!!
The most touching aspect for me is the fact you ran this special while sick. When I’m feeling bad, I get nothing done. But you…you continue to blog/email as well as fill orders. Truly amazing!!!
I think my “Tiffany Dow” folder now has every single course you have written except your Squidoo one. I haven’t even had time to go through everything! You truly are an angel for helping so many people. Even before the sale, I would recommend others to your site if they mentioned they were struggling online or wanted to know who to follow for success.
But now, you will be the only one I recommend to most people. Your helpfulness is all that’s needed (as get as instruction goes) that people need to make money. In the past week, I have begun to unsubscribe from almost all other mailing lists I was following (I unsub as they send new emails). You have spoiled me with too much free and helpful advice in your emails and posts that I don’t want to follow those that send a promo offer in every single email!!
That’s awesome Kecia! And like I said, it hit me driving during carpool how could I help that one person and I just launched w/out considering I was sick. LOL! No need to feel better to send attachments though
Oh my gosh, Tiffany…you are such an incredible person, along with everyone else who donated money for others. Your post seriously could not have hit my inbox at a better time…I have just been having a really bad and downer week when nothing seems to be going right in every direction that I turn, and then I read this! It is so uplifting to see that there are people out there still willing to help one another and have so much love in their hearts!
Thanks for brightening my day
)
Glad it helped Stacy! I got lots of similar emails during this
I like your idea of leaving the fund intact for desperate people who contact you. I also agree that they need to hustle and not have it handed to them. The truth is, something that you work for has so much more satisfaction than something for nothing (except of course winning the lottery!) The only problem that I can see is all the extra work for you!
I’d love more encouragement to put up a PLR store — you just proved that working steadily and building up your list and inventory can eventually turn into $10,000 even at a dollar a pop! I’m going to dig into my purchase of “How to Build and Email List” right after I review PLR ATM!
Go for it Diane!!
Doh! Wow…Some days it takes being BRIGHT enough to figure out how to use your special the right way Tiff!
I was SO excited about your $1 sale, all I thought on the way from Phoenix to Long Beach is “don’t forget to order the ebooks (ESPECIALLY the email list building and Planning ones)”. Then when I landed at 4:30a, I got so busy going thru the PLR Packs it never crossed my mind I hadn’t checked out the eBook section!!
I’ll be back to finish reading all these comments after I land back in Phoenix and go get my “eBooks for $35+ Alex!”. LOL
Thanks for the reminder Diane! (I think)
Debi J
LOL! Well I hope you got what you needed and if not, let me know.
Hi Tiff.
I am so glad that you did well on the sale! (I have tuition to pay now, too, and that amount would certainly help, LOL).
What you did is so amazing. I was so stunned to read that some people didn’t even have $1 to spare. But then I remember days when I had not one other thing in my cupboard but some potatoes my Dad had grown and given to me, so I understand. Sometimes it seems like the world is against us but how heart warming that people did this kind thing. I hope it is an ongoing project. There may be a few abusers but I know it will help a lot of folks.
Personally, I know you will handle the Angel Fund well. I have no problem with you making your full price on you items but that’s up to you, of course. Are you going to put a limit per person – say for example – only one pack or only one pack a month or something like that? Also, if someone could benefit from the copy writing course then take out the full price.
Anyway, I had so much fun shopping and will make good use of what I got.
Yes it helps tremendously! Now if Uncle Sam didn’t take a large chunk. LOL! Not sure about limits. I surely won’t keep doing handouts to one person but I think maybe if I have an odd situation for a repeat, I’ll bring it to y’all for discussion!
OMG, soooo amazing.
I soo missed out on placing my order cause I’m 5 1/2 months preggers and been in and out of Dr’s offices, running my little one to ballet and doing everything else except being on the computer, but this sounds like something I’d like to duplicate with my site.
I’m honored to hear the graciousness of our humanity. As a matter of fact, I was so inspired by this I actually followed another mans advice that emailed me regarding my WSO…
let me just share how it went:
I followed your guidance in the PLR ATM about putting up WSO’s. I’ll be honest, it was a bit of a challenge cause WF is a world of it’s own so it took me forever just to figure out how in the world and where in the world to post it.
I took my content and marked it 50% off for the WSO offering tons and tons of goodies, so it went from like $159 to $67.
Well, I get an email from a guy that said “your PLR is too much”. Just like Paul’s suggestion a few weeks ago, I said let me respond to hear what he has to say cause it just might be.
I responded, and dialogue started, so I reduced it to $37…
He came back and said simply “Nicole, no one knows you here and your goal is to win them over and show them your value. You need to price that for around $5-$10″, but he gave an awesome reason behind it which I listened, trusted his insight and followed!!
Needless to say, I priced the WSO at $9.95 from a whopping $159 or whatever it was….
Whewwww, I’m pleased to say that the first sale finally came through immediately after (cause I had about 151 views @ $67 and no sales) with someone who wanted to partner with me on a few things and has a great following.
Point is, giving is so much better than getting and sometimes we focus so much on money that we tend to cut off so many opportunities out of greed.
I’m also pleased to say, I’m slicing off nearly half of my fee for my content on my site as well to make it more affordable for everyone, and this is permanent, so Tiff, you started something with this one sis!
That’s why we love love love ya;)
Hugs and kisses and tissue too for the nasty little bug that’s trying to get to ya…
We sooooo appreciate everything you’ve done!
Nic
Sooo glad that ended up well! He’s right, gotta work on reputation and then price raise if you want to!
Got major goosebumps after reading this. I said – “oh my gosh” so loud and other things, that all my kids came running in and were like “what happened, what’s going on”. (No school today because of power outage in South OC, Cali)
One of my kids went into their drawer, gave me the amount I donated and told me when I get money into my PayPal again, to send another donation in. Then he went back into his “stash” again, handed me money and said, “keep this for you mom.” Then my other three kids went and gave him money.
Blessings to all
(Special hugs to Patti for her “one act of kindness”)
LOL! How wonderful
Kids are great, aren’t they? You are raising yours to have a social conscience. That’s a nice trait in a world of greed. Now you need to make sure they are able to discern truth and worth!
Amazing! I was looking forward to hearing how much was collected because I had a feeling it was gonna be big. I know that you will use your good judgment to figure out how to help those who are truly in need. You might want to pick a few well trusted people like an advisory committee to bounce things off of to help you decide so you don’t get overwhelmed. You might want to have some folks volunteer to pair up with someone struggling with a specific issue that they have expertise in to help them out. That doesn’t cost anything and makes the Angel Fund that much more a community effort and not just all on you. Just my .02.
good ideas Tracy!
Random acts of kindness are contagious … and you led the way with this project!
Perhaps you might get some ideas from the GRANTS section of Idea Cafe [dot] com. They have so much information to offer business owners and you can register for free.
Sometimes, what is said between the lines is more important than the actual written word. You’re better at sniffing out those between the lines things!
If you think someone is flailing about because there is no clue where/how/who to begin, maybe the person needs a 15 or 30-minute coaching session for $1? Or they publish one Squidoo lens and are able to identify several more related lens that they could connect. Once this is complete, they “qualify” for another $1 item. And that’s the end for that person.
good process Julie!
What an amazing story Tiff and something which comes from the generosity of spirit you have consistently displayed here over time. As I said in another comment we draw to ourselves the people who reflect who we are and this achievement is a testament to you. BTW get yourself well! What are we going to do with you?!?
Here’s a suggestion for you in terms of using the monies – do matched funding. So when someone is asking for your help and let’s say they need to get a domain and some hosting – the fund pays for the domain name and they pay for the hosting. That’s probably not the best example – but it’s been a long day/week and my thinking cap is feeling a tad tight right now
LOl I know Paul I’m slowing down for a few days now
good idea about matching!
Hey there Tiff
Well somewhere between the start of this SUPER terrific and GENEROUS special you had running, I got sidetracked. I wasn’t even aware of this Angel Fund. I started making a list of items I wanted. Then felt greedy. So I narrowed it down to a few. Then couldn’t get anything because my direct deposit payments come into my account on Fridays. Usually I have funds in it, then “life” happens. I did not get anything. Weird thing, I don’t feel bad. That greedy feeling left me.
Sounds dumb?
Now about this Angel Fund I would say that if that person IS putting in the effort of taking the necessary steps to start their PLR site like you mentioned, but maybe just needs money to outsource their first product then using the Angel Fund for this would be a very helpful thing to do. At least they have shown the effort to want to start their PLR business. Unlike me, I am so indecisive, I need a swift kick in the butt.
Zoe go ahead and order if you need to hon!
You ARE the very best! Thank you:-)
Zoe you sweetheart – she donated another amount to the fund!!
This totally totally TOTALLY made my day! You have started something like a mini KIVA here! I just feel terrible that you’ve been so sick through it all cuz you can’t enjoy marvelous things nearly as much when you’re sick AND with a sick little one. Hope you can get more rest soon.
My thought on the Ghost Writing product is have them write say 5 articles and see if that’s going to be a good fit for them. Writing seems easy for some of us, but not for many. Maybe that won’t be helpful to them after all. Plus it helps you find the worker bees vs the wanna bees.
Fiverr is another easy free place to start making money with services. My teen son helped some of my clients with fixing audio files on Audacity (free), made good money, and put up a Fiverr gig to get more work. Do a good job and people will come back to you. You can earn your domain and hosting quickly.
Tiff, you get an A++ for this idea. I think your main challenge will be getting deluged with people in need. The more easy ways you find for them to demonstrate their action so far, and their willingness to take more action, and take advantage of all the free training online, the more objective you can be.
Speaking of good free stuff online, Ed Dale just launched the 2011 Challenge for people to earn their first $1 online. They can watch the kickoff at http://www.30dcwebinars.com/challenge
Mark Ling has excellent free training on affiliate marketing at affilorama.com. Scroll to the links at the bottom.
Hope that helps some people! Tiff, you ROCK
Becki
thank you Becki!!
Hi Tiffany,
OK, how about this. Some of us have skills that people need and that are not covered in your vast plr atm store. We can donate some of our time to kind of fill in the gaps. Like you said we don’t want this to turn into a welfare handout.
I am willing to help some one who is willing to help themselves.
So to start this out. I am fairly good at designing and building niche word press themes. I will donate 3 niche wordpress themes to the Angel Fund.
I am hoping that the people we help will in turn help others as they can when they are able. We could turn this snowball into a blizzard.
Stan
good idea! Let me figure out how to track something like that – might turn into a monster LOL!
It is wonderful to see a group of people work together to help others. Unfortunately, I was not able to help with the fund right now, but I am totally impressed with the response. This is a great community of caring people.
In my opinion, the $5 sale and the $1 sale were more handout than expected, and very much appreciated. I was able to purchase what I needed most, and I have a lot to do just to use what I purchased.
Thanks to your kindness, I know my business will continue to grow. My deepest appreciation.
I hope you and Scarlett both get better soon. I also hope the rest of your family can escape the illness. Best wishes always!
Thanks Linda!
Hi Tiff,
This is so wonderful and so typical of you. What a generous heart you have. I am happy that you profited from it, too.
I’m feeling a little bad that I didn’t read the post that day. I cried so much the day before, I didn’t want to bring out that hanky again
Love you and this group for giving back.
Pat
LOL No more tears!
I want to say that I am amazed, but I don’t think that quite covers what I am feeling right now!
You have shown your true character as a person by stepping up to do what you feel is the right thing and trying to make a difference in so many other peoples lives. I have seen a lot of your work, and trust me when I say that it is a steal at the REGULAR price, so to price it at $1 to help people is just awe inspiring to me. I was already a big fan of yours, but this…this seals the deal. For Life!
It is rare in this day and age to find a person who has experienced success and still takes a considerable amount of time (and money also) to assist those that are less fortunate and still struggling. But you are truly one of those people and your repeated acts of kindness inspire me.
Your fan & customer,
Sheryl Martin
((hugs)) Thanks Sheryl!
I’m so glad that people are still willing to help out others in need, especially fellow marketers.
Can we still contribute to the fund? Is there still time left to do that?
Well heck yeah Bill! I guess that can go on endlessly. LOL!
Hi Tiffany – It is wonderful to see the generosity offered first of all by yourself and secondly by the members of your “fan club” (not sure what else to call them…lol)
I have to say I don’t envy you the task of deciding how the money should be used/distributed. It is quite a responsibility – but one that am I sure you will handle admirably.
My first thought would be to sit on it for a while and let the dust settle a little. I certainly wouldn’t give any of it to anyone who blatantly asks. As others have suggested, there will be times in the future when you will have the opportunity to respond to a genuine need. Maybe it could be used as part payment for something. The person concerned could perhaps pay half the price themselves and the fund pays the rest. I guess it is a bit like applying for a bursary. Very often you get a proportion of the cost to help you and you have to find the remainder.
Good luck
Janet
Agree Janet – I don’t want news to spread and people come out of the woodwork wanting freebies, etc. I’ll be very careful!
Way To Go Tiffany, Glad to see that Angels do exist. Maybe one day my plr site will rock like it does here. Hope you get well soon.
thanks Terry!
Tiffany, I think this just might be unique to you because of who you are. It is an incredible story of how community truly can be developed all the while delivering outstanding content. Amazing and inspiring.
Thank you Mark (blush)
Tiffany, your generosity is so amazing and so appreciated by us all. I know I’ve been in a bad spot for the last several years – disabled and waiting to get approved for disability. Several years ago I was laid off and ended up in bankruptcy and lost my house to foreclosure. We’ve been surviving on my husband’s small salary and help from friends, family and the foodbank.
I’ve had a list of items I wanted to purchase from you just waiting until the next time I had even $5 to spare.
Just last week I was notified that my disability has been approved! I haven’t got it yet but it’s on its way! So, when I read about your $1 sale I felt like I could afford 28 of your products. It was a godsend.
And now – just yesterday – we learned that my husband will be losing his job at the end of October. But I’m OK with that, because my disability check will be a bit larger than his paycheck was AND – best of all – now I’ve got some awesome PLR to learn from and to use to make more money.
Your actions, and those of all the Tiff fans out there, has spurred me to look for folks I can help even with the little I have. Thank you for giving me this gift of spirit!
Deborah
Deborah I’m so happy your disability is on its way and it takes the pressure off! ((hugs))
I want to see thanks again for offering this sale. The products have been inspirational and a good kick in the pants to start working on something specific.
I found the sale through the WAHM forum, and I’m very impressed by this community. It’s wonderful to see such a generous, caring group of people. I’ll be donating as soon as I can afford to.
As for what to do with the Ghostwriting book and advice, since it’s a joint project I’d say maybe see if you can extract anything from it as a personal report? And then perhaps open up submissions for folks to cover sections and flesh it out to a full book. This would be a book that exists just for the Angel Fund, and gives people who can’t afford a donation the chance to contribute. Plus, I think a lot of us got our start ghostwriting and/or offering a service.
I definitely agree with your approach about giving it to people who will work with it, and not just anybody who comes up and asks. I worked retail for a long while and knew inside and out the loopholes and discounts our company offered. Very rarely did I give them to the people who asked. But I would give it readily to the people who just had that gleam in their eye.
There was one young woman who came in with her mother to purchase one of the more expensive Cricut machines on sale. The sale had since expired, and they couldn’t afford it otherwise. Before even knowing the sale had expired she was so excited, telling me how she wanted to set up a new scrapbook for her granddaughter and give it to her when she got older, and find some way to honor all of her old family photos, etc.
That’s a no-brainer, really. Got me into big trouble with my manager, but hey.
Sometimes it’s just the right thing to do, and I believe that’s what you’re doing here – you and all the great people who’ve donated their money, time, and sincerity to this project thus far.
Glad you made it here Courtney! Stay awhile
Kick your shoes off. Grab a cup of something. LOL Sometimes it’s okay to get in trouble for doing good. Kind of a little Robin hood going on there
As I was thinking about the Tiff Angel Fund in comparison to KIVA micro loans, one thing they do is the recipient pays back the micro loan when they’ve earned money by using the loan in the intended way. That way the same money just keeps circulating helping more and more people.
That might be a suggestion to make to your recipients too. That way the ones who are helped are encouraged to pay it forward, and the fund goes a lot further without getting depleted as fast.
I know the last thing you need is any fancy to keep track of, but it could simply be a suggestion and hopefully one who received help would then provide help back to someone else when they’re able.
Yes they’ll be encouraged for sure but you’re right I don’t want to force it and be tracking stuff LOL!
Oh, and seriously? I know $10k may be pocket change to some internet marketers, but some folks really need to take a step back and ground themselves in this reality.
10k is a lot of money. 10k is more than a lot of people make in a YEAR, and a heck of a lot more than most people would be able to make in a couple days.
And this isn’t 10k selling $69 products, $39 products, or whatever. It’s 10k from $1 products! That’s an amazing feat.
I’m sure there are people out there who can snap their fingers and have people falling all over themselves throwing out cash just to be privileged enough to hear the sound of some guru’s fingers rubbing together, but for the rest of us… $10k is, was, and always will be a lot of money that can do a lot of good, and it’s something to absolutely be proud of!
Agree!
You are an angel, Tiffany. Your heart is always in the right place, helping whoever needs it, even if it is just an encouraging word. That’s why you have so many followers and fans who also have big hearts.
The angel fund is a wonderful idea. It will be interesting to see how it works out.
I’m excited about it carol! In fact I have some emails right now I’ve been dangling on for awhile for possible first Angel fund donations. Will have to evaluate carefully though!
Hi Tiff – so sorry to hear you are still ill, but try to relax and let it work its way through so you can get back to health!
I almost missed your sale because once I got on the site there was so much that fit my niches! I literally had to go through it like 4 times to figure out a way to list everything and make sure there were no duplicates LOL. I know I already have some of your stuff, but for whatever reason couldn’t locate it on my hard drive, so I just ordered again anyway. I was pretty surprised by the total I wanted, and yes, I felt a bit guilty, too.
I am an advocate of tithing 10%, so I decided to donate 15% of my total to others. I don’t know why I didn’t think about others doing this, but am very glad to see it grew to over $600.
Now, I realize that tithing is supposed to be gifted without condition, but I do have some ideas. I think it is an important lesson that most people who are given things do not appreciate them as much as the person who earns the same thing.
So, please, however you decide to distribute the funds, make sure that the person receiving it is actually providing some value in return. Such as the suggestion for matching. Sometimes it won’t be a match in cash, but it does need to be something. Like having the person write 5 articles for you, or a promise of some kind of contribution later. It’s a bit difficult to enforce a promise, and I don’t want you to be a cop, but again, it’s a way to sort out who is serious.
I also don’t like “giving” to someone just because they “need” it. There are lots of “needy” people in the world, and not all are deserving of “help”. I’m confident you will find a way to help the most deserving.
As far as the Ghostwriting, perhaps that could be a 50/50 match. It seems like a lot to give to just one person when the other gifts are being valued at $1 (you really are an Angel!).
I plan to “pay it forward” by hiring a couple of people to help me work with the PLR. Without your generous sale I would probably have done the work myself. Now I can share the wealth with others. The person I am thinking of will be very happy since she is in need of extra cash – now I can help her, too!
Thanks again, my dear!
Thanks Katie! I will take care of myself for sure. This first part of the week, might be a slow one. I like the idea of them giving back in SOME way, yes! Good idea about GWC match!!
I also like the comparison to KIVA.org. My “hobby business” is making glass jewelry. I found some broken blue glass by the side of the road one day and after getting over being upset at the littering, I realized how gorgeous it was. I took it home, cleaned it up, put it in the kiln, and a whole new segment of my jewelry was born.
I figured out ways to do surface decoration, and now I take 20% of the proceeds when a piece of recycled glass jewelry is sold, and I use it to fund a female artisan through KIVA. So far I’ve funded 5, and I have enough funds to do another when I get the chance.
KIVA loans the money to the entrepreneur and they pay it back over time. That means that my money gets to keep working – it goes into an enterprise and is paid back. I then get to pick another artist, help fund their loan, etc., etc. You might want to think about something similar – a way to encourage the recipients to give back, too.
And BTW – I chose female artisans because the money comes from my art and I was a single mom, so I know what a few extra bucks can do!
I’ve heard of Kiva but never really looked deeply into it.
Over 600? Wow! That’s incredible! Hope I’m able to contribute too soon
I like your ideas about helping people who struggle and are willing to help themselves but need a little push to get started.
So I’m sure you can separate the freebie seekers from the hard workers.
You probably heard all the excuses there are
Today I adorned the folder labeled “Tiffany Dow Awesomeness” with a shiny Angel icon =) It’s smack there on my desktop, reminding me to do my best and work hard towards my goals.
The last few days have been amazing! This community is really awesome and inspiring! Thank you so much Tiffany
Awww you’re awesome! Now what will you do when I dirty up my halo and go all honey badger on someone? LOL!
Haven’t seen you go HB on someone who didn’t deserve it, so I’ll probably be right beside you, cheering you on LOL!
LOL! Alright then
I’m glad to know that this angel fund will help a lot of deserving individuals. It’s a pity to see someone who has got talent but does not have the resources to get started.
agree Mano!
Dear Tiffany
It is a pleasure and a privilege to be part of your community.
You do so much lovely work, helping and supporting other people.
I love you and your work
Robert
Thanks Robert! ((hugs))
I, also, purchased from you generosity and am glad that it was a good venture for you as well. I agree with a lot of the comments in that you are a very good judge of character and think you are able to tell who is really in need and who is just trying to get over. Hope you get better soon and keep showing us how an angel should act. Take care.
Thanks Andre
I say, if you feel the person you’re dealing with would benefit from the Ghost Writing course, use the $67.
With the others going for $1, the fund would still last a very long time and help a great many people.
thanks Lynn!
But my thought is that you should stick with your own products and *pay yourself* for them when you offer them to someone else. If you start sending cash for hosting and domains….first of all, who knows what they’re going to use it for, if they’re ready for their own site or if they’ll use it at all. I’ve had domains all over I never used. Got an idea, got that far, and tanked.
Plus, I have an intuition that people who can’t afford 20 bucks for a domain aren’t ready to commit to their business. I haven’t seen anything online really work according to the “do it for me” model. I mean look, it used to take a generation to save up enough money to buy and start up the donut shop. People would sleep in the back of their convenience store until they could afford another convenience store. And now the cost of startup is 20 bucks.
I also think — not that you asked — that if you’re going to do this, you should keep it sort of low-key. It sort of drifted across my mind’s eye that it could be like, a scholarship fund, but holy crap imagine the loony emails you’d be getting if you had a button like that on your site.
Agree with you Alison – you make some very valid points!
Wow tiff you are an “Angel”!!
God Bless!!
Missed out on the $1 Crazy Sale…But Will Love to put into the Angel Fund..Hey I want to join
in with the acts of kindness!!
Get well soon,
Harj
Harj my blog readers don’t need to worry about being late
I am blessed to be a part of all this. However, though not pertaining to this, I think many are aware of the fires we have going on here in Texas right not. One was across the street from me a few days ago and there were no firefighter available, but thanks to neighborhood efforts/angels, we got it under control and out. There are two major fires still going not far from me in Magnolia/Montgomery County, and waller/Waller County.
The biggest one is in Bastrop, which is 4 hours from me. So I’d like to ask all to keep Texas in your prayers, and consider doing what you can as far as donations for the thousands of families who have lost everything.
There has been no High School here all week because the two Magnolia High Schools have been converted to shelters for hundreds of families. Any and all that can be given will certainly be appreciated, not only for the people, but for pets, horses, and livestock.
We have some not so angelic individuals whom find it befitting to take advantage of this dire situation and price gouge on hay/feed, water, and other needed things. Pray that their hearts be softened.
Thanks to all.
Wow so glad you’re safe! My friend Sherry’s house just burned down to the ground in Austin and my friend Dave’s house is in danger – there’s 1 mile of dead trees and brush between him and a MONSTER fire right now
Tiffany,
Here is something I think will help all of your readers with and without money.
In a nutshell, record yourself starting with nothing and create a product and post it for sale with no steps skipped.
The product might be a 7-15 page report with 3 website articles and 3 autoresponder articles.
You can do this in one sitting or a little each day until they are complete. You can then release one short recording per day for the number of recordings it takes.
Leave the recordings up for 30 days after completion of the series before taking them down. That will give all your current readers, and newcomers over the next month a chance to actually witness a PLR product creation.
After 30 days (or as long as you decide), you can package the product up and sell it as a tutorial for newer readers who come later.
You have the money to buy a domain name, a Hostgator baby account and an autoresponder subscription. Walk through the steps of marketing and posting a WSO if you like.
Rules:
One step per video and each step should take less than 1 hour for the reader to watch and duplicate.
Don’t spend time explaining everything. When you post the video here, your readers will answer each other’s easy questions, and you will have very few to answer yourself.
Just demonstrate the step, slowly and distinctly but without wasting time. Don’t waste time on a step, but don’t go too quickly.
Minimize expenses, but don’t over complicate things by being cheap. For example, you can buy hostgator hosting and get them to supply the domain name for $15 (just a couple of dollars more than from GoDaddy but it avoids the step of pointing domain name servers.)
Alternative videos for free versions are your option.
The goal here is for your readers to watch your video and copy what you are doing in one hour or less.
Use a disposable niche or product. Don’t worry about readers who duplicate exactly what you are working on to the letter. That is how some will learn.
If you have several short steps that can be watched and followed in about one hour, it is fine to release more than one video on that day.
You post about 1 hour’s worth per day 5 days a week (Let you and them have the weekend off.)
You might also follow up on the series by actually converting that PLR product into a new product in a similar demonstration.
Obviously, this challenge does not cater to your advanced readers who already have their own products and income, but I think it will cater to those who most need the products they cannot afford to buy.
One more thing. This would not be titled “Make $1000 in 5 Days”, LOL
What do you and your readers think?
Sounds daunting Buck! LOL But maybe doable. Let me brew with it awhile and see – I’m so sick now I can’t think straight
If you are like me, you are happier to spend money to feel better when you are sick than to take more money to deal with it.
Get well.
Thanks
Buck
Tiffany:
I hope you and your daughter get to feeling better soon. Boy, I am just amazed as to how your $1 sale evolved. You know, we have been helping with our new granddaughter who was born just about 6 weeks ago with a very rare and complicated heart defect. She is going to have to have at least two open heart surguries, one very soon. We have been trying to help raise money locally in our small town of Sulphur Louisiana for all the large medical bills. She was in intensive care when she was born for 16 days. Our son has been unemployed for over a year now and can’t find work anywhere. They are going to have to take our granddaughter to Tulane Medical Center in New Orleans for the surgery and will need money to stay there with her. The story I want to convey here is not asking for money, but to just let everyone who reads these posts know that there are some really great and generous people in this big old world. My son has been putting little collection bins all over town and the people have been so generous. Hats off to everyone who participated in Tiffs $1 sale. Not only did you get a bargain, but you contributed to something that you can’t put a price on. Helping other people when they are struggling. Thanks to you Tiffany for your caring for people and helping others out. You are absolutely the best internet marketer on the net. Take Care Everyone. PS: If anyone else is experiencing something similar to what we are experiencing, I would love to hear from you. Sharing our stories with each other would help all of us.
Do they have a Ronald McDonald house in Tulane Sam? The ones here are AMAZING with families needing to stay close by to the kids.
Thanks for your reply Tiffany. Yes, they do have a Ronald McDonald house in New Orleans. My son has already checked on it. They are going to try and stay there when they have to go. It is on a first come and first served basis. The heart doctors treating our granddaughter are going to try and help them get in at Ronald McDonald’s House. They have to wait until they know exactly when the surgery is going to take place. I sincerely hope it works out. They really need some help. Again Tiffany, you are the BEST!
Wonderful! Glad the doctor’s going to bat for them too!
Yes Tiffany, The doctors here have been fantastic. They told us that our granddaughter’s heart condition is Rare and very complicated. They say that they have only had few of these similar to hers and that most of them would have had to have surgery already. The heart specialist treating our granddaughter told us that God definitely has his hand on her. I have really enjoyed all the posts. Very inspiring.
Your good judgement should guide your use of the Angel Fund just fine, Tiffany. As you have pointed out, you usually have some expanded contact with those might benefit from a helping hand. Your continued generosity in spreading the fund as much as possible by doing so at the $1 sale price is testament to you. In this all too cynical world filled with ugly deeds, it is so refreshing to see all these kind spirits sharing. God Bless and take care.
Thanks Randy
YEA BABY!!!!!
Tiffany, see what you got started. How are you ever going to top this? Somehow I know you will.
Nice to be part of such a geat group of people.
Bob
I can try Bob! LOL
Wow! I love your ideas for the angel fund – it has been so incredibly inspiring to see the miracle unfold. And to see so many in the community step forward and contribute has been amazing and inspiring. And that you are willing to continue to pull out of the fund at the $1 product pricing is also absolutely amazing, and truly inspiring. (okay, too many amazings and inspirings in the same paragraph, but those are the words that are coming up!)
I also would totally trust your judgment with who to gift the products to… I think I first started reading your blog regularly last weekend, and knew then that there was a lot I could learn from you – - I HAD NO IDEA!! LOL
What an incredible community (/movement) you have created and inspired by just showing up and being your true, generous self. Encouraging, teaching, inspiring….
I’m very grateful to the friend who told me about PLR ATM. Again… I had no idea what else I would discover!!
I can say ditto, ditto, ditto to just about everything that’s been shared. You and this community are incredible! Thanks to you, Tiff and everyone here – for just showing up!!
Glad to have you here Nancy
And you’re right – it’s a community, not just me.
Tiff,
I am so impressed and touched. I am behind you all the way. I trust your judgement.
And if there is a way to continue the fund that would be great. Some of us could give as time goes on. If you let us know of someone that needs ghostwriting, a few of us could just chip in then.
I was visiting my daughter last week, and when I just checked all my emails I saw all that happened. I missed chipping in. I still can.
If you could post a permanent message on your blog of how to contribute I bet you’d get a continual stream of funds.
And get well!!! And Scarlet too.
Debbie
Rut emailed me about that too. When I get the page put together with an explanation I will add some sort of button or instructions or something LOL! Thanks for the get wells!
Tiff,
I take my hat off to you and everyone who paid it forward during the $1 sale
. On the WF people (including myself) have bought WSO’s that they really didn’t need to help out other members in need, but this community went further than that by sending extra $$$ to help out the next person in need.
As far as the Angel Fund is concerned, I think you’re on the right track Tiff. There needs to be “a bar to clear” (some proof of real effort) to be able to benefit from the fund; you shouldn’t give to every freebie seeker holding their hand out. I will email you when I have a “light bulb” moment.
You are one of a kind Tiff
I hope you and Scarlett feel better soon.
Ray
Thanks Ray!
An awesome idea Tiff! I am sure whatever you decide will be fantastic! I look forward to being a part of it. Not sure how to contribute so let me know!!
I am one of the many moms who isn’t always able to afford what I would like and appreciate your sales!
I teach my children to always, always give back no matter what! Share your food, your time, your love and your money when you can!!
Belinda
Me too Belinda!
Hi Tiff, well done, I don’t think the angel fund should be used for domains or websites as weebly etc are all free and I am currently making money on free sites (not much) and there is plenty of free info available.I think use the money for a plr ebook they can use for building there list, or a free course they can use to get their list moving. I would estimate the goodwill you spread around with the $1 offer would be worth double what you made…. Giving forward is what it’s all about
Kind regards
Dick
Agree Dick
Tiffany,
I just started following you earlier this week. I’d say it was a lucky time to start!
I took advantage of the sale, and got some great material that I’ve begun to dive into. (I believe all my technical difficulties have been solved thanks to the amazing attention and response times from you and Craig both). I’m excited and ready to work! I’m scared, but I read here somewhere, “do it afraid”, and I’ve decided to make it my motto.
But the newsletters and comments and all the giving by you and your whole community is something really special. I find myself asking, “is this for real?” The cynic in me says it can’t be, but the dork in me thinks, and hopes, it is.
Here’s to you, the community, and the dork in us all!
Teresa
Teresa so glad you got some things you needed! It’s for real here although wouldn’t it be funny if it was really just one person pretending to be a community and making me feel good about myself? LMAO!
That’s awesome. Honey must be like “What the heck is wrong with mommy, it must be really bad.” LOL! As far as your Angel fund, I think the course/plr giving at $1 deduction for those in need is a great idea. As far as the Ghostwriting course, providing services can do wonders for people too, I know first hand how hard it can be to start getting jobs at places like elance.com and such. Since that was a duel project, I’m assuming you each get a cut every time a curse is sold? If that’s the case why not just pay your partner their normal cut and your $1 and deduct both from the fund to give the deserving person the course. That’s my just thoughts. Congrats Tiffany on your success with the sale, very impressive, and I too am grateful for it!
good idea but maybe hard for me to track. I’m brainstorm brewing on all this though!
Hi Tiff,
Affiliate marketing is confusing and overwhelming enough, there is some bad and good advise and it takes a long time to learn yourself coming in new, and you continue to hit road blocks, etc. I’ve been at this thing, learning, reading books on the subject, studying, and learning bit by bit. Trouble is I am a visual learner, needing step by step instructions. I’m kinda dense sometimes. For Example: I still need understanding on how to RSS feed, or link. I’d like to know best practices, or a good way to go about it. I found promoting one niche isn’t enough, even with multiple niche as you can see from my web site, I have multiple niche pages. I can if I put my mind to it write well. The only niche I could come up with that I could actually write would be about PETS, or child disabilities. So Ezine articles is what I’ve been using for content. My other sites are petslongevity.com, and idealwedding.weebly.com. WordPress is so difficult to use IMO, weebly is simple. I promote products with Commission Junction, shareasale, and linkshare. I promote promote, promote, and nothing…So to make a long story short, you should use your talent to train, or advise.
Thanks Cheryl!
Hi, Tiffany!
I’m so pleased the sale went so well, and I am glad I was able to help out with the angel fund. Not so very long ago, literally a few weeks, I was struggling with how to pay the bills and put food on the table. Now through a bit of a miracle I can. It feels so good to be able to help others!
I am a firm believer that when you are able to take the elevator to the upper floors, you should go back down when you can and bring someone else back up with you. Blessings to everyone who was able to do that these last couple of days!
If there is anyone out there struggling who is reading this, never give up or give in. I am living proof that things can and do get better!
Take care!
Cindi
Thanks Cindi! Glad things are looking up!
Can we continue to contribute to the Angel Fund as we see fit? And if so, how do we go about it? The thing about you, Tiff, is you simply love helping us all and those you don’t even know – - which is what makes you such a terrific and compassionate person we love, respect & admire.
I know you’ll have wisdom in distributing the funds. It was such a cool idea anyway. Thanks a bunch and. . . get well now!
Hugs,
Linda
Yeah I’m going to set up something for that but I’m a little behind on other stuff right now so I have to get situated a bit.
I am very happy to be part of this community. I think you have the right ideas about the fund.
I say, onward and upward! Does it GET any better?
Thanks, again for everything.
I don’t think it does Fran
Wow Tiff!
I think you have a brand – Angel Dust!!
Seems to me you just bring out the best in people without trying, it is a gift and one that is a pleasure to watch in action!
As a newbie I would be mega cross if anyone took advantage of all this kindness and generosity…. I fund my IM efforts with article writing for others..and Amazon reviews..and yes we all want to succeed in our own way, but heck lets have some pride and work for it!
Now for goodness sake, get into bed, honey and lemon with a decent shot of Irish whiskey, for you, not Scarlett…and as my old nan would say, rub some Vicks on yer chest girl cos that’ll shift it.
Seriously Tiff, we are all in awe of your work rate and your comittment to your community, but we also care, and worry about you so go take care of yourself and your darlin daughter..
Sarah
I do have mentholatum smeared all over my chest and nose! LOL
For kindness is indeed sublime and worth the
trouble anytime. Sincerity is all we need to help us do a friendly deed.
Hello Tiffany, Because I trust your judgment I believe it best that you make the decision on how to apply the Angel Fund.
Take Care and get well!
Dale
thank you Dale!
Well you did it again Tiff lol…you got me in gear. I cracked open PLR ATM and Im determined to have a store up by next week. Im working on my content now.
Also on a side note. Your blog is one of few that I read comments….on other blogs I skip most comments and look for author posts. Gotta love this community.
I even started my blog back up again. Had to get the dust off there. (Plus I had forgotten my password) lol
I love the commentors too. They’re why I’m here. lol
Ok, now that my How To Build a List Ebook has been purchased(and I’ve landed for the weekend)…
What you’ve done here is nothing short of awesome Tiffany. I trust you implicitly with the whole Angel Fund but for the record…
I like the ideas about matching funds or writing before receiving type plans. Those shouldn’t require a lot of additional work for you (and even get you some outsourced content). I have witnessed (more times than I can count) people who do NOTHING with a business because it was “given” to them.
Having said that, maybe look at what you have to offer than no one else does. Your products teach a person to fish, and since you’re so familiar with what’s possible with them because that’s what you’ve done and do, they always have you and this community for support.
There are free hosting sites, free wordpress themes, free squidoo lenses, free hub pages, tons of free ebooks that you can brand to earn affiliate dollars (Nicole Dean comes to mind) & even free answers to issues that we newbies run into via places like the Warrior Forum (as long as you stick to finding people like Tiffany, you can learn a LOT).
So, people starting a business who require some financial assistance can get all those things for free. What they don’t have as much easy access to without time, ability, or resources, is the “How-To” info that comes from your PLRATM or Gathering & Structuring Ideas, or How to Build a List…or content to get the attention of buyers and search engines. This is the part you’re good at. This is what you’ve spent years doing, simplifying, teaching and are able to support best so maybe that’s the “limitations” you could look at.
If they’re willing to hunt down all the free stuff, spend time working out the kinks either on their own or with support folks like Warriors or HostGator (I’m getting to know their folks fairly well)
, then they’re probably going to be set up and ready to roll at that point.
Just my 2 cents….(but keep in mind that I forgot to buy the one eBook I came to get the other night so take it for what it’s worth!) LOL
Debi J
Which one did you forget?
Hello Tiff et al,
Well, there seems to be an Angel Club developed here and I am mighty pleased to be a part of it.
What a lovely snowball!
I have to admit to being a slow plodder with the PLR. I have only just got my ghostwriting site sorted. That took me long enough. Before buying that course, I emailed you to ask whether you thought it was the right thing for me to do and the issues that I was facing.
True to form, you were very blunt with me but you were, at the same time, so encouraging and I am still here plodding along. I will get there. No, I will rephrase that and say “I am getting there!”
It is very much thanks to you and I am so pleased that so many other people are going to be helped. This is a wonderful example of angel cuddles.
A little tip: I avoid using “try” and use “I am,” or “I will” followed by a doing verb. It works wonders.
Thank you Tiff and the club members for letting me be a part of this sharing, caring bunch.
Now Tiff, let me take you aside and say that you really should put an onion by your bed while you are sleeping. It really does work wonders.
I hope you and Scarlett recover soon. I will continue to send you healing energy.
Angel cuddles,
Sarah
LOl I hope I was blunt nice
Sometimes I can be in a crabby mood offline and I fear it comes through online when it doesn’t mean to be. ((hugs))
Hi Tiff
Sorry to hear that your little one is sick now and that you are still so sick. You have done a totally amazing job over the past few days and the fact that you took in 10K as well to me says that is good karma coming back to you from your incredible generosity and excellent reputation.
I now feel a bit mean so will be making a donation to the Angel fund as we are not on skid row yet!!
I think that your thinking on running the fund is spot on. You can absolutely start out without paying a cent so people can definitely show that they are committed. With the Ghostwriting course, my feeling is that you should give it to somebody who is really deserving, has shown that they are committed, but also that they have the ability to write. I love writing, but I know that I am not good enough or fast enough to do ghost writing, but I can do PLR because I can research it and write it in my own time.
Take care xo
Wow Jan yeah this thing has a grip on me! I’m annoyed. But it’s probably my fault for not resting properly. I just saw your amazing donation lady – you rock!
Hi Tiff,
I’m not a person who comments very frequently on blogs or on forums, but I just wanted to let you know that there are probably plenty of people like me who watched this thing unfold and were inspired by it even though we didn’t comment.
I sure hope you feel better soon… I add you to my prayers.
Angel in hiding (lol)
Don
Thanks Don I know there were several lurkers who came out to comment on this event
((hugs))
Tiff: You are all AWESOME. YOU ALL ROCK. My idea is let Tiff do it. You know how to spread this around for the best of everyone concerned. After all you’ve been doin this a long time. love you all. Doni
Thanks Doni!
You are an amazing person, Tiffany. The $1 sale was incredible enough, but you make it even more astonishing by keeping The Angel Fund at the same price! What a lot of great people in this community. I was so sorry I could not contribute to the Angel Fund [husband was laid off last month - I myself was laid off in May of 2009].
I have taken advantage of your sales in the past and was going to pass on this one because of both my DH and I being unemployed. But I spent a few dollars as an investment in my [hopefully] eventual success in IM and PLR. Your courses are so well written and complete and have taught me a great deal.
As others, I have a Tiffany folder on my desktop and check my email for your updates.
Thanks for being you.
Don’t worry about contributing! Not everyone can and that’s okay too
You guys are all so awesome!
Hope to start my Ghostwriting that I purchased a year ago during unemployment by Jan.
Tidying up some loose ends and new ends on other web sites that popped up into my hands.
They’ve been good practice for writing content and keywords, etc.
They’ve brought snail cash and I can’t wait to really go on the Ghost.
Thanks to all for being thoughtful of their fellow beings!
Thanks for everything Tiffany. Even though I don’t participate much you always inspire me.
Thank you Ruth
Hi Tiffany,
I have an idea for you. I specialise in Green PLR and I started a rather unusual membership website. It is a paid membership website teaching how to use Green PLR but, members do not have to pay their membership fee until they feel ready to pay. (i.e. until they are actually making money at it.)
I was lucky in finding some people to sponsor the first members, (My sponsors believe in the green economy and want to encourage more people to promote green products as affiliates.) Now, when someone decides to pay a membership fee it actually creates a space for a new member, with the sponsors taking up the slack.
It occured to me that you could adopt this model. Use some of your products like the PLR ATM as material forthe core of the membership website. You could use the “Angel” fund to start it off, and offer other things at a discount to members. Members could start paying membership fees or donations as they could afford it and create space for new members.
There must also be a lot of rich established marketeers out there that could donate money or supply training material. Most of them have used PLR and it would be in everybodys interests to encourage the training up of talented writers.
Just something to think about while you are recovering.
best wishes
Jack
thank you for the idea Jack!
Hi Tiff,
Reading these comments I’m bowled over – this is an amazing community and a joy to see.
You asked for some secific input on using the Angel Fund so heres my 2 cents:
1)$67 GhostwritingCash – it seems to me that if someone could benefit best from that rather than the $1 items, then it makes sense to spend the $67 to make that happen.
2) paying for domains & hosting – people probably just need info on how to get started for free. A lot of people aren’t aware of things like free blogs, lenses etc.
But having said all that, it also seems to me that you have the integrity and compassion to do whats best for each individual you want to help so I’m not sure we should be prescribing too much here.
Hope that helps
Eva
Thanks Eva!
Oh, Tiff, this is so great. Like others have said, you are great at picking out people to help. When the time comes to make the right decision on the GW and others you will know what to do.
I am just starting out and this was just great for me. I have not had time to go through all of them. All I can say is great work, Tiff.
Thanks Gma Marilyn!
What exactly did I finally start paying attention to here, anyway? Much of the above is quite unexpected as part of an Internet Marketing HowTo topic!
Tiffany – I think you’ll be inspiring me to “raise my game”. Not that I’ve got my game figured out yet, but I think I’ll finally have a good place to start by the end of this week.
Hoping to soak in some how-to from articles, and it seems I need to read up here on the blog some more. I’m quite the newbie to this community.
Cheers!
Tim
P.S. Tiffany, you’ve been sick through the D situation and your sale? Again – oh, WOW! I think I’m quite a wuss, then…I wouldn’t have all the energy to do this stuff and be honestly sick at the same time.
Welcome Tim! Yes, I was just sick with a slight cold w/D but then a bronchial infection hit me (maybe she has a voodoo doll lol).
LOL!!!
Hey Tiffany, that Angel Fund sounds great. Just an idea – maybe put a paypal button there so people can donate? Or not? Up to you. Or we could just send it to you as a gift or whatever.
I plan to but haven’t done it yet
