Private Label Rights - Use Them Wisely

    By Tiffany | October 27, 2006

I’m seeing a lot of information about PLR (Private Label Rights) and I want to make sure that if you’re using them, you’re doing it the right way. I recently launch a lens on Squidoo teaching people about the right and wrong way to leverage PLR and it’s located here - PLR Articles.

I think people are selling them without educating their consumer on how to use them, and while it might be common sense to some, others are confused by the “rights” they actually have to these articles and eBooks.

Whenever you buy into a PLR membership site or invest in a batch of PLR articles elsewhere, such as in a Warrior Forum WSO (Warrior Special Offer), make sure that you change them before you use them anywhere on the web.

The purpose of PLR is to help drive targeted traffic to your site, so if you use them as-is, and 199 other people do the same, you’re not helping your position in the SERPs, you’re hurting it. Google penalizes duplicate content, but the good news is - you don’t have to make radical changes for the article to appear unique to Googlebots and other search engine spiders.

Once you alter the content, make sure your own hyperlinks are cloaked using a tool like Go Try This and then submit them over the Internet.

Leave me a comment if there’s a topic you’d like to see offered as a PLR and I’ll see if there’s enough demand to warrant its creation. This way, you save a bundle in ghostwriting fees.
