Refund Request Humor

I got a laugh in the Warrior Forum this morning and I wanted to share it with you. Someone was mad because a customer had asked for a refund, saying, “I am not saying I don’t like your product, its just that I forgot I am short on cash right now. I have a bunch of products/ebooks that I would like to buy on Warrior Forum but can’t buy them all. So I am making a list to make sure I stay within my limits.”

Now see I HATE it when someone does this kind of shit because they’re just stealing in my opinion. They already got the product. If you can’t afford, don’t buy. But definitely don’t buy, like it and then ask for a refund! Ridiculous.

But here’s the gem of the day:

Harvey Segal who wrote The Complete Guide to ClickBank, told the person who posted this dilemma to reply this way:

“Dear Customer

I also forgot I am short on cash right now.

I have a bunch of refund requests that I would like to honour but can’t honour them all.

So I am making a list to make sure I stay within my limits.

Unfortunately yours did not make the list.”

I just about had coffee coming out of my nose. THAT was hilarious. I love it. Puts them in their place.

    hahahahahah…omg I can’t stop laughing…hahaha

  • lol – that response is priceless!

I’m with you on the subject though – if you have no money then don’t buy the product!

  • Lol! Oh dear that really is a terrible excuse. I bet most of us buy way too many eBooks and WSOs, but have the decency not to blame the creator for it!

    Right on Harvey Seagal!

    Priceless response!

Another route would’ve been to sympathize with the refund request and then for the seller to state that they’d be happy to include a full refund as an added bonus to any of their other products that the buyer would purchase. ;)

    Tiff,

While it may seem as if we are within our limits, as sellers, to respond in the manner Harvey suggest — we shouldn’t rush to do so.

We still have to remember we are in business and have taken a silent oath to honor thy customer.

Remember the #1 golden rule: The Customer is Always Right?

Yes… yes, I know what you’re thinking right now! I’m not saying I agree with the customer and that he or she deserves a refund but… I’m merely pointing out as sellers we must honor the request of the customer refund. Whether or not we agree with how a customer uses our product. If we don’t, no matter the scenario, we’re the person who looks bad in the end.

This doesn’t change the fact that the customer was wrong in buying the product in the first place. Be that as it may, we must remind ourselves daily that we’re in business and as a steep price to pay for being an entrepreneur — we must take the good with the bad. :)

    Regards,

    Ha! That’s priceless.

I’m curious – has anyone here ever asked for a refund on an info product? I’ve bought my fair share and even if I don’t love the product, I won’t request a refund if I gain some use from it. That was until two days ago.

I got a double whammy of two not so good products. Well, let me rephrase. The first one was decent, but completely different than what I was expecting and I really had no use for the information. The second one was atrocious. Two of the solutions if gave were actually illegal, but they said to either “do it subtly” or “find a legal loophole”. I requested my money back on that one right away, but the guy is stalemating. He claims that I need to try some of the other options and show proof of this first, which is ridiculous as none of the really apply to my situation and I could ruin my credit score and/or relationships in trying to do so.

I’m still debating on the first. As I said, it was a nice guide, but maybe I’m missing something, but the way they marketed it, I was expecting something totally different. Would I be within my right to ask for a refund?

      Hey Ami!

I’ve probably refunded before if the product was pure crap. I can’t recall. Normally if it’s just “okay” I’ll keep it. I think if the marketing strays from what you actually receive, you’re entitled to a refund. And I don’t like anyone teaching me illegal stuff.
