Category 5 Success Storm
By Tiffany | January 1, 2008
I don’t make New Year’s Resolutions. Never have since I kept disappointing myself with failure after failure. I just vow now. Voa to live a better life, make more money, have more time with my family. I succeeded with this plan this past year so why not repeat it?
Only this year, I’m gearing up for feats so amazing it’ll shock everyone - including me! I am getting outside of my comfort zone. Narrowing my options so I can focus on them more. I spent the past month mapping out a plan for myself. I spent time organizing my personal debt ($16k plus the mortgage). I spent time figuring out what renovations I want to make to my childhood home (electricity rehaul, roof, plumbing, then expansion to a double story, pool, etc).
I know if I sit in my comfort zone, I won’t achieve the category 5 success storn that I want in all areas of my life. I’ll be honest with you - I’m a bit of a hermit. Used to not be this way - I was more a social butterfly. But after gaining weight after 3 kids and working from home, it got easier and easier to just stay inside. That all changes this year.
I’m like a butterfly emerging from a cocoon. That’s what I am!
In all ways, though - not just with my looks. With my money, with my relationships. It’s a whole new year - full of promise and inspiration. I hope you embrace this clean slate, too and make the most of it. Here in the South, on New Year’s Day, we eat Black Eyed Peas and Collard Greens for good luck and money, respectively. I forgot to get mine, but I’m headed out later to see if I can find some. It’s just a superstition, but it’s fun - and I want my life to have some fun in it from now on.
Have a great ‘08, ladies and gents!
I know I will ![]()
