Split Testing With Google Website Optimizer
Someone who bought Building an eBook Empire asked me for more information on the split page testing. I have a split testing product link in there that I believe may not work anymore but luckily, Google’s come up with something even better – and I’ll update the eBook to reflect this.
I didn’t even know about this tool until I had to write an eBook for someone else on a certain PPC strategy. It’s Google’s Website Optimizer (GWO) – and it’s FREE – yea! I always prefer to recommend free tools to my readers whenever there’s something viable.
“What Do You Do for a Living?” they Ask…
Making a living online means you’re going to have to explain over and over again what it is you do – because it’s not like being a baker, a stock market trader, or a wedding planner. With those careers, people know when you tell them.
Internet marketer? What the hell is THAT? Do you SPAM people for a living, they’ll ask.
“No, I work on the Internet,” you’ll reply.
Then you might hear the say, “Oh cool! I have a computer that needs fixing. Can you do it?”
Serial Versus Parallel Task Completion
Got these questions in a follow up to the ones below:
1.) Do you see any serious inefficiencies in implementing marketing efforts in a serial, rather than parallel, fashion?
2.) What would be your suggested first, second and third marketing things to do?
There are so many tasks associated with being an Internet marketer – blog posts, web 2.0 page creation, viral reports to release, video marketing, forum postings, article marketing, etc. It can get overwhelming.
