I was whining to my poor mentor Craig Desorcy of http://www.wehelpnewbies.com the other day (feel for him – he has to listen to me bitch and moan when I don’t know what I’m doing) and once again, he gave me some good advice I’m going to share with you. Let’s call it the trickle down effect

My dilemma is this: I’m ranking #1 or top 10 on Google for a TON of long-tail keywords having to do with my PLR Mini Mart site. My goal is to be king of the hill, Queen of all things PLR, and so on But that takes time and work. For PLR, I’m on page 1. For PLR articles, however – I’m stuck back on page 3. Not a good place to be.

So Craig told me to roll up my sleeves and get to work. Backlinks are what it takes to get top honors. So today, I want to show you a few pages I built in the land of web 2.0 to generate some backlink love to my blog at http://www.PLRMiniMart.com/blog – I’m anchoring this link in the text “PLR articles” so if anyone wants to plant me a backlink somewhere, I’d be grateful – and no, I’m not too proud to beg lol.

The first one I built was on WetPaint for PLR Articles and I like the color scheme and layout but the site appears too busy for my tastes. Still, it’s a backlink!

The second one I did today was a Yahoo 360 PLR Articles page.  Don’t even ask me about that little Texan cutie avatar I made. I was having fun and wishful thinking that I still had that kind of figure! Really not fond of this page – boring!  But it’s a backlink!

My third  foray in backlink building for the day as a PLR Articles page at WordPress. Again, plain Jane page – I could have taken time to implement a nice WordPress theme, but the tactic is to generate backlinks, not make an aesthetic impression on people.

My 4th backlink site was Blogger where I built yet another PLR Articles page. Um, my page looks like a bottle of Pepto Bismol spilled on it, but I wanted a girlie theme It does its purpose, though.

One of my favorites of the day was building a PLR Articles page on Google Knol. I drool over Knols although when you go to the page, look how stinky the URL is. Come on, Google – could ya not give us a little keyword relevant string of letters to stick in there rather than that bundled up mess? Note: Some lovely person reported me to Google – ALL of my knols – as being spammy. So they shut down this one account (my other pen name ones are open and I’m not saying where those are!). Now I have to await a LONG review to see if they’ll reopen them. I also had (the same?) person go into all of ONE of my Squidoo accounts and one star all my lenses. So looks like someone had it out for me. None of my other accounts were targeted – just those where they knew my name.

My last PLR Articles page of the day (I’m tapped out on PLR content) was at Live Journal. Not exactly a beauty but what I do love is this – go to the page and hover over my first link that says PLR articles. See the pop up? I love that. A preview of my page!

Got any other web 2.0 sites you feel would work well for my PLR article backlink strategy? Let me know about them! I have to be careful because, for instance, EZA doesn’t allow PLR articles unless it slams PLR. Boo hiss! Does anyone know about IMNewswatch? I noticed he has a content submission area – I’m used to him picking up my content.

We all know what a difference PLR products can make when it comes to building our Internet businesses – and if you don’t know, then it’s only because you haven’t yet realized just what all these products can mean for your bottom line.

Most people who aren’t currently using PLR articles to build their IM sites don’t really understand that PLR means so much more than text-based – after all, isn’t that the first thing that comes to mind when you hear the term “PLR products?”

You can take a simple PLR article and turn it into many different media formats. PLR articles are a quick and easy way to get the content you need to populate your websites, typically coming in packs of anything from five to 100 articles, and they’re usually offered in both .txt and .doc formats (although I just deliver mine in Word only).

You can also buy PLR eBooks This makes it easier than ever to get your own product on the marketplace with the least amount of work. All of the research has been done for you, so all you have to do is choose the PLR eBook which best fits your niche, rewrite it or tweak it, slap a professional ecover on it and you’re good to go!

You can also take a PLR eBook, rewrite it, and break it up into chunks which can be used as individual articles for distribution or as website content (this of course depends on the rules of the PLR site).

Take your written PLR articles or eBooks and make an audio or video production of them. You can package them together to create a unique info product package, use them to set up your own membership teaching site, or even use them as web 2.0 content on Squidoo, Hub Pages, or Google Knol. Some people sell the audio and video PLR already created for you – but then that’s not you branding yourself as the expert, which is key.

There are so many different types of PLR product possibilities today that you should have no trouble building your online business even if all you ever used to create new products and content were PLR products! PLR articles are sold at affordable prices, too, so that aspect delivers another perk in your decision making process on whether to start from scratch or create your product on the back of a pre-written package.

Make money on the Internet without having to write a single word! That’s what PLR articles can do for you in your business. Here are several ways to use your PLR content to help you generate income the fast and easy way:

1.) Build a list with them. “Thar’s gold in them thar lists!” Don’t believe it? Build a list of 5-10k and blast an email out promoting something they need and then tell me I’m wrong. You can use the mammmoth plr packs at PLR Mini Mart to queue up 52 week’s worth (a whole YEAR!) of communication with your customers and lure them into your communication lair using my 5-page opt in report that complements the articles perfectly.

2.) Blog with your PLR articles! Blogs need constant fodder for search engines and you can plug in a PLR article here and there whenever you’re short on time.

3.) Use your PLR content to build web 2.0 pages – Squidoo, Hub Pages, Weebly, Ning communities – you name it. Your best bet is to alter them or cut them up – carve it any way you like because with private label rights, you’re in control of how you use them (as long as it’s in accordance with the rules when you bought them).

4.) Use them as forum posts! Now I wouldn’t go spamming a forum with duplicate content that makes you look like you’re a wanna-be authority figure, but use them as a jumping point for you to craft your own words using existing material. This is especially resourceful if you’re in a niche you don’t know much about but you want to showcase a link to your domain in your signature file.

In order to make money from your PLR articles, you’re going to have to find top quality at an affordable price. If it’s too expensive, then you might as well start from scratch. And if it’s not well-written, it’ll be a waste of money.
