AdSense SpyFu Case Study
My new site is located here: (link removed to prevent people from clicking on the AdSense ads) and the free AdSense theme template I got was from Dosh Dosh and man do I LOVE the step by step tutorial they give on how to use it. Great for we tech dummies.
Keyword Tool My Guru Clients Use
Back when I was ghostwriting (which wasn’t too long ago), the clients would often have me log into their various tools whenever I was writing a how to guide about how to use them because I needed firsthand access to know what I was talking about. Over and over again SpyFu was the tool they used.
Now some of you know the seedy stories I’ve disclosed in Building an eBook Empire about how those top marketers spied on each other (and you). They take no prisoners. They are REALLY two faced. I’ve heard many of them say, “Oh so and so (their supposed “friend”) is writing an eBook on XYZ so I want you to do one and I’m gonna launch it under a pen name so he doesn’t know it’s me.” So here they are sharing their projects verbally and like snakes, they’re stealing from one another.
SpyFu is another tool they use in addition to the tactics I share in my guide. But it’s not like stealing someone’s ideas – you’re just spying on the competition to see how they’re ranking and then going for it yourself. I think this is fair. The SpyFu tool is going to deliver results for PPC (which I don’t like to use). But it also gives you organic keyword results.
So for instance – if I put in my domain into the tool, it tells me I rank high for the keyword phrase Go Try This (it’s the cloaking tool I recommend). It’s hyperlinked in SpyFu, so I can click on it and it takes me to the page that tells me about that phrase. People pay $0.22-$0.45 per click in AdWords for that but I rank #2 organically – right below the gotrythis.com domain. Not bad
Take it for a test drive – you can go to the page and enter a competitor’s domain (or your own if you want to see how you rank). I like it.
