The Proven Income Method Review Part 1
Hi everyone! I’m so excited! Before I chose the Amazon Affiliate Bible to review, I was looking at three Amazon experts that EVERYBODY had named as THE go to people for this profit strategy – and Jan Roos was one of them. But when I researched, I couldn’t find an affiliate program for it.
Guess what? He does! He got back to me last night and said he has the Proven Income Method product available online, but he ALSO sat there and gave me access because I had explained who I was, what I was doing, how I often do reviews like this, etc.
So dang it – let’s get going! I am all about implementing – no time to let moss grow here. And you know … what you can do is implement right along with me. Why not take my review for the day and do what I do?
Why Did I Decide to Do This Review?
I had never heard of Jan Roos. Sorry, I know he appears to be big time – but I didn’t know him. I don’t know if he’s a Warrior Forum member, either. His name and face don’t ring a bell for me. Oh! Yes he has a WF profile. Says he’s in the USA too but he doesn’t talk like it so I assume he’s a transplant here. Ah yes, he’s from South Africa it says online.
OMG he’s active in the WF too. Whoops! Sorry Jan. I can’t keep track of everyone. Looks like he joined in 2008 – a couple of years after me. For all I know I’ve interacted with him and forgotten.
I chose this product because during my research, people kept slinging his name around as an expert. When that happens, it’s usually a good indication that it’s genuinely good – especially if you see a wide variety of people saying good things and not just a close knit circle of a person’s friends.
I also want to do this review because I’m focused on an increase in Amazon earnings and this is what the product is all about – physical affiliate sales.
Review of the Sales Copy and Buying Process
The sales copy starts with a video (that you can pause – yea!) and some text. The first thing I like is that Jan is down to earth. SO rare (especially with men – sorry guys, but they often tend to get more spammy sometimes with the mansions, hot cars and babes). He’s just sitting there in a polo shirt talking normal to us.
I don’t know how important personality is to everyone else, but it makes or breaks it for me. I instinctively put up barriers when I think someone is a scumbag – or even trying too hard to impress me so that it comes off as phony.
I LOVE that he’s talking so genuinely. He tells us for the first 3 years, he failed. He tells what he tried and why he failed. He talks about why he believes that selling physical products is the best route for newbies. Could be. But depends on the level of desperation (in which case services rule).
He does a comparison between ClickBank and Amazon. Now the conversion rate he’s talking about on CB is WAY lower than what I experience, but that’s because I review and implement and share. If you just send tons of traffic to an offer randomly, or shallowly, then your conversion rate WILL probably be that low.
He says he has 10 Amazon website and spent 1 day each building them. He says they make $10,000 a month “on autopilot.”
As for the course, he says it’s step-by-step and newbie friendly – even for grandmas. LOL! I had to giggle at that part for some reason. He says we’re going to learn how to research products, build the websites and promote them. He says the biggest chunk of the course is driving traffic to your site. And he says the methods are ALL free. I like that.
He says his method is based on WordPress domains. Good – matches my efforts with my site. And the video ends politely.
The course costs $47. He has earning screen shots, which he says had to be verified by ClickBank for authenticity. He shows some feedback he’s gotten on the course.
The sales copy has a rags to riches, stress to stress-free storyline. There’s lots of marketing speak in there – the “leveraging” and “cash sucking” and “rushing past competitors” kind of stuff. He says he pretty much outsources everything but says it’s NOT push-button.
He says he’ll teach us how to avoid mistakes, sell high ticket items, rank high, get traffic, and more.
I do like that he says his course used to be $97 (it was) and that he’s not using scarcity tactics and he won’t throw in tons of worthless bonuses. All true. But I’m a bit confused now.
Now let me tell you what I know about the “sales funnel” for the Proven Income Method:
The sales copy says you get the PDF and 23 videos, plus access to him for help. However, when Jan emailed me, he told me that the basic course comes with the PDF only, the videos are an upsell, and there’s a second upsell for a different video selection. So hmmm. Just emailed Jan for clarification.
Inside the Member’s Area
So he gave me my login details and it’s plain looking when I first go there. No graphics. No worries, just an observation.
Oh okay – I see what the deal is with the videos now. You DO get the video series with the original purchase. There are tow MORE video series sets afterwards. So that’s good!
I download the PDF – it’s 95 pages! I’m taken to a link where I can download the individual videos. He says this will help you with everything WordPress related in your marketing career. Looks good! There are 23 videos.
Tiff’s Tip: The videos are not numbered, so you either want to refer to the members’ area whenever you go to watch one, or write it in a file or screen capture the page so you remember which order to watch them in.
They all downloaded super fast! For the first upsell I downloaded a PDF and then there are two links – one lets you watch the video series online and the other lets you download them. I’ll watch online.
The second upsell is a PDF but the links to the videos appear to be inside the PDF. (I skimmed it because I knew it said something about videos).
Now I Start Reviewing the PDF
Okay the PDF starts out (and by the way the TOC isn’t hyperlinked – bummer) with kind of restatement about why we should be doing this. I’ve already bought it, so I don’t like a rehash. But it’s not too long – about 1-2 pages.
Then he kind of gets us into our buyers’ mindset. As I go forward he begins walking a newbie through the very first steps. He shares 4 more tangible sites he promotes from in addition to Amazon. He mentions one of his highest converting sites and and what he uses and I didn’t even know about this – how did I not know about this? I never hear anyone talk about it.
Wait a minute maybe I am in it. LOL! Too confusing with people buying each other out. I don’t know. Screw it. I’m focusing on Amazon alone.
I’ll go into the next section in the next review.

Oh my…..Tiff’s quicker than light!!! We can’t keep up lol!!!
LOL Yes you can!
Hi Tiff
Is this a replacement course for The Physical Affiliate by Jan Roos?
Regards Karyn
Yes I don’t know how he’s changed it. I never took the original. I just know it’s named this now.
Maybe these extra tangible sites will be good for people living in states that cannot be an amazon affiliate.
Mary
hadn’t thought of that but true Mary!
Just curious but you didn’t mention how much the upsells were. You’ve given us that information in the past and I was just curious because you didn’t this time. As a newbie I have to watch the budget. If it’s okay I’d appreciate it if you’d let us know. I’m sure that I’m not the only one wondering the cost of the upsells. Thank you! I look forward to your emails…
I emailed to ask him.
Hi Tiffany:
I am glad to see you are reviewing Jan Roos Amazon product. I almost ordered this several months ago, but held off. I look forward to your review. Take Care, Sam
I hadn’t heard about it so I’m glad I got it!
I think I got one of Jan’s products awhile ago. I’ve just plain stopped buying anything until my John Chow style blog gets going. To myself-One thing at a time, Buddy, don’t give in to the magical ADD!!!
Go at your own pace Buddy!
Hey Ms. Tiff,
Does his WSO have something that we will buy later? like an oto or something?
He has two upsells. I don’t see an OTO though. The two upsells are two different video series – one for building the site and the other for paid traffic.
